Today we're getting out of Los Angeles and visiting one of our favorite places and mid century modern design capitals, Palm Springs, California. We're staying at one of the best places to stay in Palm Springs, the beautiful Hermann Bungalows at L'horizon Resort and Spa Hotel. We''ll take you all around the stunning hotel property and give you a room tour of out Hermann Pool View Junior Suite. We are also taking you guys to some of the best restaurants in Palm Springs like Mr, Lyons steakhouse and Workshop Kitchen as well as some of the best design shops in Palm Springs like Market Market, The Webster, The Gilded Owl, Object Culture. We'll do some shopping, go on bike rides, visit the Ingleside Estate and tour the mid century style homes. To top it all off we stop at the Desert Hills Premium Outlets in Cabazon to pick up some things from Loewe, Celine, and Ferragamo. Palm Springs is such a special place to us for so many reasons so let's get in the car and head down Palm Canyon Drive together. Hope you guys enjoy!

New subscriber here in L.A. You guys seem like so much fun. I have been going down to PS since I was 10 years old. The first hotel I ever stayed at was The Riviera, now the Margaritaville Resort. PS is such a great area, and there's so much to do there, from sightseeing and shopping to horseback riding and, of course, dining at all the great eateries. I knew the former owners of L’Horizon, as well as the lady who managed it for decades. Ask Nelda Linsk in P.S. about the history of the property. I lived in SoCal for almost 30 years and most of it in Palm Desert.

Ugh! I know! I really wanted to have a moment in the pool but it became tricky with water and the equipment and then it became even more tricky with other peoples privacy! I think it would be good to rent a house next time to include pool shots! idk it was a hard thing to have to miss on our end too I promise!!

I know what you mean, but there's definitely a segment of New Yorkers that would also fit into LA or Miami these days. Just compare the type of cast on Real Housewives of New York today versus 10 years ago. There are fewer and fewer of the old school stereotypical New Yorkers. Personally, I love the classic artsy, alternative, in-your-face New York vibe but think it's changing like everywhere.
@tstieber I know people moved to New York and like NY better crime rate is much lower than LA.

Palm Springs is a dull and soulless place
I hate to say that too, but after a few hours in PS, we are super bored. Let's be honest, it's a very small city, really more of a retirement area. But I do like the look of that hotel they stayed at, it has a great vibe and style, and I like that marketplace they went to. Maybe we'll check that out sometime. We sometimes just drive over the mountains for the afternoon and hang out for like 5 or 6 hours, not during the summer though...
