- Car bases are all the same and quite frankly they suck at protecting your car! So today I've built the perfect car base that you can even live out of! With majorly increased security for your car and a completely hidden loot room for your most valuable goodies this base is a solo/duo players dream! If you've never gotten behind the wheel of a car in rust, now is the perfect time because this will make your wipe soo much easier in Rust!

this is the best car base i’ve seen on youtube. for such an underrated way to play you’ve fixed almost all issues associated with it

Another interesting idea would be adding some sort of heartbeat sensor thing that would turn off power for your car lift.
You don't rly want the power off, when the car lift is unpowered, the car decays, quickly.
I just use a generator and unhook it when I'm not working on it.

This base design didn't work with the camper module on a 4 socket car. If you put it all the way back, you can't exit next to the back entrance, you always get teleported on sides. The only way to exit the vehicle on its back is to place another passenger module on its back and dismount there, but that's one slot wasted
I think its meant for a transport car. For a camper you gotta make a bigger one

I believe it could have been you that also suggested using a Building Plan to sus out where the TC might be in a small base like this, due to how many use a Triangle shelf in the room with.
So, in doing such here (8:40), you made a 'false signal' of where the TC might be (leading raiders to hit the wrong spot, costing them BOOM). Psychological Warfare....
When you dont use the car, just remove the engine and store it inside base. So even if they managed to raid 2 doors, they still have to bring parts to drive it.
There's a better way to build pixel gaps. I think it was Builder I first saw do it, but if you build out 4 triangles at an angle from your first square, then build back 3 twords where you want the foundation followed by a square and a final square attached to the previous one a day you get something that looks like a pyramid when seen from above with a pixel gap between your first and last square. If you remove everything but your first square, last square, and first triangle you then have a 2x1 footprint with an airlock and pixel gap. Takes as much in resources but takes a lot less space and time to create the gap... since we all know how well it goes for folks trying these crazy build outs on busy live servers.
Nice garage, only thing i would add is ramps in the loot rooms for extra honeycomb

these videos are great, ive seen other base tutorials that go WAY too fast, they start flying, and cut in the middle of the video making it frustrating to follow, but these are perfect

I like using the heart rate sensor on the door to open it automatically and then close automatically after you are in or after you drive off.

See, this is 2014 thinking at its finest. My 50 rocket rock bunker garage with optional mini storage and 26 rocket flank bunkers is nothing compared to this masterpiece. Why cost the Zerg half a box of gunpowder to get to TC when you could practically give it to them for half a line instead? 10/10 Reksmore classic BANGER!
There's a Massive difference between a 200k and 8k stone build

1:30 but they can just shoot your car to low HP break the lock, then drive away

I like this build as well. How do you get to the hidden boxes, do you break the stone floor? Thought that would be too much work.
There's a pixel gap you can access under the lift

Cars were made a lot less durable in a semi recent patch and a double barrel with 45 handmade shells will get an armored car low enough to break the lock and get in
This is amazing, but on the comment about living smaller, in my experience, nothing about your base will keep someone from trying, its just a matter of is it strong and clever enough to survive
Lower pop servers that can certainly be true! people get bored and raid everything!
However for anything with a decent pop generally there are other juicer targets
