Join Lizzie from the Academy team as she explores the city of Bath to really put the Canon EOS RP 24-105mm EF STM lens and EF lens mount adapter kit through its paces.
Pairing the EOS RP’s 26.2MP full frame dual pixel CMOS AF sensor with the versatility of this 24-105mm lens we’re hoping to see some sharp detail and high-quality shots being produced.

I remember all the big name CZcamsrs whinging about this camera before us real folk got our hands on it when it went on the market - I bought one and love it - adapting all my ef lenses as well as using native rf 35 ,,,, there’s nothing to dislike so I’d recommend if you’re on the fence 😀😀

I actually like that this camera had a horrible reputation when it first launched because it enabled me to pick a hardly used one with the EF adapter included for only £750, it's an absolute steal & I'm super pleased with it 👍

Thanks for this wonderful review. I use this lens with my Canon C100 MKII, & R6MKII mostly for video. It does well on the R62 with that fast and silent STM. I adapt the 24-105mm f/3.5-5.6 onto my R62. I use an adapter with the drop in variable ND filters.

I am a RP owner, could you have a review about the RF 24-240mm walk around lens? It looks great from official website video but seems few people do a real world test on it. thanks!!
I got the RP, my Photos mainly motorcycles for Instagram, improoved over night 😁 still would use the 24-105mm L Version and also a 50mm Prime is extremly awesome.
@ChainBrothers did you kit come with the RF 24-105mm lens? Because the reviwe of this girls appears with the EF STM 24-105 not the RF and I am confused :(
@@existircuantico7141 you can get both. When the RP came out, there were 2 options. Always go for the L, F4 is bad enough 😄
I mainly use a 85mm prime Tamron with stabilizer meanwhile.

@@existircuantico7141 well, its a good allround lense, but the prime lenses are just amazing. The new Sigma Art for example is crazy good.

Great video, just wondering if you tried any EF-S lenses with the adaptor on the RP?
The setting needs to be changed from Full to 1.6 for cropped sensor lenses but I have been very happy with results from ef-s 10-18 and a Tameon 17-50

Well, well, well....leave the church into the village, please. Into germany, the price now (23.7.2022) RP with the cheap 24-105 STM (not L) is shocking, 899 EUR. Great deal. Technically, the Nikon Z5 is better, dual card slots, much better WR, like the Z6&Z7 Series, and IBIS of course, and better DR. OpticalLimits (former PhotoZone) tested the 24-105 RF STM, and it turned out to be a underdesigned lens. I trust this Site since it exists - i never bought a lemon lens, and i am shooting since the 80's. Technically, it's a 6D Mark II Sensor, into this mirrorless EOS RP.
Of course, this combo is unbeatable for the -current- pricelevel, bar none. But the Kitlens is way slow, F7.1 at @105mm, OMG. Even for a typical Kitzoom, this is much. FYI, i own the former L 24-105 F4L, and 24-105 STM, the EF STM sometimes from specs kicks the L, and the older EF 24-105 was F3.5-F5.6 at the End, not F7.1...go figure. :-)

Are you sure that is an EF lens?
Canon did make an EF full frame STM 24-105mm f/3.5-5.6 IS lens. She explains having it adapted to the RF mount. I do the same thing with this lens on my R6 MKII. The STM focus is lighting quick with the R62.
