I jumped in around the AHIG era and I agree, from listening to their of stuff like Self titled going up to WANYK, no matter what, whatever song you listen to makes you feel a unique way and you can always tell it's Slipknot from their sound, even with all the experimentation they've done over the years. They're one of the few bands that underwent massive evolution along with their fan base. They were full on pent up anger and angst in the 90's when we were all teens, then got progressively more mature each new album.
