Thanks for this. Dealer gave me one key and wanted 800 bucks for a second one, that he probably had already ! Great video.
Thank you great video
(2016 Ram) Worked for me!
Awesome and thanks for the video!
My security tape was already falling off. Not very secure. Good video. Thanks
My key still works in the ignition but the buttons on my key fob stopped working will this kit work for me or does my original key fob buttons have to still be working know order for me to program a new key?
i'm not really sure. It could be that it is just the buttons are worn down and not making good contact. This kit comes with one blank key and a rubber set of buttons to replace the worn buttons on your old key fob
The dealers want exorbitant unfair rip-off prices prices like $350 for those key transponders that only cost them $25. They think that they got us by the short hairs but this solution is the reasonable fair way to get a new transponder and not get robbed,
Could you link the video down below or is the video In the instructions. I got a 2010 charger and the key starts the car but don’t lock or unlock. So I’m looking for something just to have as a second key. Thank you for the video of the step by step. It helps alot
That was good thank you 13 to 19 rams with that 3 button fobs are all the same but they say 2018 and 2019 rams it don’t work I don’t get it
@@danthonyrashad yes try pro key box programming it does keys from 2013 to 2024 ram 1500 classic
Is there any way to program that key without the original key
I have the OG key but only the panic button works on it. The truck starts if you put it in the ignition and drives, just can’t lock or unlock or activate the remote start with it. Did you have to use any of the buttons on the old one during the activation process of the new key? I didn’t see you so I’m assuming not? Thanks in advance
CAN ANYONE HELP?
I think I programmed the key correctly. I cannot get the programmer to connect to my ECU?
Read and followed all instructions very carefully.
if the key is not programmed correctly the car should tell you the incorrect key is in the ignition. My Ram displays it on the dash " incorrect key inserted" you dont need the correct key for the programmer to connect to the ECU. But you do need the correct key to proceed with the programming.
@@gerrypineau Tjanls for responding. My key is programmed correctly. The programmer just beepa endlessly when inserted in the OBD port.
@@scottloftin1730 Try it in a different vehicle. If it still beeps then return it to where you bought it.
@@scottloftin1730 if you look at my video at 3:23 the thing beeps repeatedly for me too. I ignored that and proceeded to follow the instructions and all came out well.
I spoke with a technician at Express Key, Cole. He walked me through the entire process. This product did not work for my stock 2015 Ram 1500. I dont have any aftermarket electronics. Shipped it back to Amazon.
Time is money and I wasted a bunch of both. Pain in the butt!
