- I built a sliding doors cabinet (DIY) out of birch plywood. It’s a simple build using biscuit joinery and a simple groove for the sliding doors to run in. I show you how you can make such a DIY storage cabinet with sliding doors.

I explain the details in this video: • MY PARTNER COMPANIES -...
I want to let you know that I cooperate with a couple of tool companies. Occasionally, they provide me with some of their tools for me to use in the shop.
But: Whenever you see me using a tool it means that I like it and think it’s worth using. When I do a review, I tell you my honest opinion.
I want to be transparent about these partnerships, however, so that you’re not kept in the dark and can make up your own mind if you think I’m in fact unbiased or not.
My partner companies are: Bessey, Kreg, Maschinenhandel Meyer, Triton, Bosch Professional, PNZ Produkte (as of 01/2021)

Hi Andreas, you have come a long way since I watched you as a young man riding a bike with a box on the front. It is nice to see you build something for yourself. Good luck for the future and keep making these great videos
Thanks - but I never built a bike box 😉 - could it be that you confused me with this other Germany youtuber/maker (here’s his bike box video): czcams.com/video/hx-s_Xa6zcU/video.html
Andreas good to see you fit and active at this time. You are producing some fine work these days. Kind Regards Stuart Bell from UK
Thanks a lot Stuart!
Hallo Andreas! Nice to see you here again. Hope you and your family are doing well and healthy. Grüße aus Laupheim!
Thanks a lot Ricardo! Grüße zurück!
Nice to see you back, Mr. K.!! Great build!
Thank you Kathleen!
Perfect! This is what I want to share to my husband for our new cat’s diy project..I think I can do it too given the same tools as yours, wooh I’m so jealous. I need all of those hahahha
Used this for a reptile enclosure (glass sliding doors with wood frame)
Great!
Awesome, im struggling several days now with my (first) cabinet project because i want sliding doors and wasnt sure if they would slide perfectly after making those grooves. Your video comes with all needed details to finish my project and i also own the same makita router since 3 weeks...you made my day! Many thanks for this!
Glad to hear it. Next Sunday there’ll be another video about sliding doors: six tips for how to make them work. Good luck with your project.
Wow you got the best tools I have seen 👏
Thanks 😀 - I bought them step by step, whenever I’d saved some money. But, of course, CZcams cooperations help as well.
Excellent info. Thanks from Doug in Iowa USA.
Glad to hear, it. Doug. Greetings to the US
Thanks very much sir. I've been looking ways to do this without any extra costs on the rail. Really2 glad you shared this video. Thanks once again sir.
#stayhealthy #staysafe and all the best.
You’re welcome - good luck with your project!
Hi! I love how you keeping your workshop clean and tidy!
Keep a good job!
Thanks for your feedback!
Such a great video. This helped me out a lot when I built my own cabinet.
Glad to hear it.
@@holzhandwerk_ak My pleasure. I actually made a video of my build and linked your video so others can follow your technique. Thanks again for the content :)
Great cabinet, it turned out very nice!
Thanks Fabrizio!
great great video, the little tips will make my work much better!! thank you.
Thanks - I’m glad I could help. There’ll be a full “sliding-doors tips” video next Sunday.
Really nice job - simple, elegant and practical. I learnt a great deal from your work method and craftmanship.
Thanks. I’m glad to hear it.
Well done!
Thank you!
Nice and simple design. Great!. I was wandering, are there rules of thumb about the thickness of the groves and the height of the doors compared to the internal hide of the corpus?
Is there a way to clean the sliding area of dust that got wet and is preventing the doors from sliding smoothly without dismantling something like this
Sure. The doors slide in an open groove so you can simply use a vacuum cleaner to clean the groove from time to time. If the dust got sticky, use something blunt and narrow to scratch it off.
Hi Andreas, your Mongolian gerbils are certainly enjoying their cage. It quite big, what is the big ball shaped thing in the middle of the cage.
That’s just a heap of bedding material that the gerbils have moved there - and some burrows below it that are visible through the glass.
Nice, very tidy and precise job.
What an awesome drill stand. I always wonder whether it was custom built or it's available for purchase somewhere.
I searched far and wide with no luck :)
I have a video on this drill stand: czcams.com/video/gKtCAXaLeEo/video.html
It’s by German manufacturer wabeco, here’s their website: www.wabeco-remscheid.de/ubersicht-bohrstander (you can switch it to English in the top right corner)
Depending on where yo live, it might be available in your country.
@@holzhandwerk_ak Thank you very much.
I'll check it out. Croatia.
I just got one question, did you really left the camera turned on the whole night? ahah joking!
Looks Great Sir!
Thanks!
I could do the same thing if I had all those fancy tools, but I don't. grrr
Perhaps that is so. If you look back at my older videos you’ll see that I, too, started with much simpler projects for which you don’t need that many tools. So don’t let yourself be held back.
All thosetools must have cost plenty....not exactly cost effective
