  • In this 2nd part of building your own Secure Comms Telephone Network we explore using Military grade Commander Gateways to securely connect two locations in the World together. We use Public Cellular and Starlink Satellite as our WAN connectivity. The two Gateways bridge the LANs together using VPN tunneling and Cryptographic Algorithms for the ultimate in security.

That SIP traffic is running through multiple encrypted VPN tunnels, all you can see over the internet is parts of that encrypted VPN traffic which you cannot listen into

A lot of SIP phones can encrypt audio.
So you have multiple levels of protection
      (1) Encrypted VoIP in the phone
      (2) VPN Split over multiple paths
      (3) VPN Encryption
That would be very hard to put back together, specially the fact encrypted packets are going via so many paths.
To ensure this is effective, each LTE link should go via its own WAN at the SIP server end so no one provider has the complete set of packets.
