I’m so glad to be part of TDF Kalypso Fairies! It’s fun to see what other people are doing. I got my TDF day 2 video up earlier today and I filmed myself making art batts for today’s video.
You will get it. Write down what direction you are spinning your singles and what direction you want to ply so you don’t forget. I always write it down, otherwise I would be right there with you!
Great outcomes for both! I liked seeing the difference between the high and low energy twist, as well as the different fulling results. Should be fun yarns to work with! harpingJanet
Yes! They will be very fun! I have rekindled my weaving fire of late and have a few weaving projects on deck for after TDF. The heavily fulled singes will be making their way towards the top of the list!
Thanks for your videos! I would love to see any knitted projects and FOs from your handspun at some point l, even just pictures if you have the time . But for now you are inspiring me and keeping me company on the TdF ❤😊!
Thank you for watching! At the beginning of nearly all my fall and winter 2023/24 videos open with my FO’s to answer just your question. There is also a several part series on Weites Meer shawl that I did and a pile of socks!
This was a great video. I really want to try this. I don’t generally like to knit so chunky, but I want to try it. I’ll probable have to go thinner since my oriface can’t accommodate. But I love how your yarns turned out.
The chunky 1 TPI is more fragile. You saw my hat and I have worn it for years. I think I made it in 2018. It still looks great. But I take really good care of my stuff, and it’s a hat. I wouldn’t make mittens out of it. I made a cowl and still looks great too!

Thank You! I loved making it! I haven’t seen a lot of videos out there demonstrating this one.
Does it snag (any more than any yarn) when it is knit and worn?
