Hahaha thanks Frankie on another great video on one of my builds!! Quick correction… rear spring started off at 550lbs and I’m currently running a 500lbs. Not sure what I was thinking that day! 🤘🏻
I was wondering, 400# seemed light for 220 lbs. What spring are you running on your Crestline? I just picked up a new Crestline coppertop
@@fzr1000981 I have a 550 on the CL but I may even drop that down to 500 for a little more plushness 🤘🏻
@@fzr1000981 congrats on the CL it’s a weapon for sure.
Thank you Brandon for taking the time to share your experience with everyone!

My son has a brand new Orbea Wild and he has the same issue with the spin block. It was actually delivered with in a box with the bars at 180 degrees and the spin block was cracked in half. When I look at the design this is such a weak part. Like you say, if you fall and the bars take a knock, the stem will spin. Now the stock stem has a lug in the back, for the spin block, there is also a mechanical stop for the forks, so when you turn that sideways, something needs to give... Crazy design!
I should add the bike is an incredible ride. I thought my 2022 Levo was good but this Wild seems way faster. The 29/29 wheels and geo rips!
That bike does rip! really fun to ride
I have about 400 miles on my '24 Wild M10 and it's been an AWESOME bike. Not just that it's an ebike, but the way it rides and handles is some of the best I've ever experienced.
Nice! this bike for sure rips.. so many people love it!
Nice! I've got a Wild M11 on order. Supposed to ship any day now. I also thought about buying a Crestline, but I just loved the look of the 2023/24 Wild better.
Congrats! This bike definitely looks great!
Sick bike, love mine. It is definitely fast, especially when going straight downhill.
It picks up quick!
They improved the charging port cover over my 2022. I love the straight top tube too, but the internal headset routing sucks. My 2022 has a removable battery door and no headset routing, so I like it better than the new ones. The frame does look slightly better on the 2023+ though..
Yeah the headset is routing is definitely a pain to deal with!
Yeah B! Solid build for sure and great bike profile. Agree the internal routing sucks!
Another great video brother 👍 keeps them coming...do prefer his crestline thou, that bike is amazing
Thank you brother! Crestline is an amazing bike!
On a separate note related to mods, Bosch is bringing out stand alone 250wh (weight 1.5Kg) external battery. There is the potential option to remove the 750wh (4.3 kg) battery and run with the smaller battery and Lyrik ultimate forks.
I looked at these exact bikes, Crestline vs M Team
Hey Frankie - interesting review.
What was the overall cost of mods? What did the bike weigh at the end with lower weight components.
The sizing of bikes are now longer, the reach that was previously medium bikes is now the current day small. Longer bike better for stability I guess.
You didn’t tell us how this compared to your Specialized? Granted this was not your size or set up.
Wild to be ridden wild in the wild - got it! 😀
Thank you brother! I’ll see what we can do to update the weight and total cost of all the mods.
my Levo alloy frame felt a bit more compliant than the full carbon frame. Definitely more stable but that could very well be the 38 and coil shocks.
the size large reach wasn’t too bad definitely within my physical limit
Is there more info for the headset parts and where to source them??? I got a Wild M10 and the same problem with that plastic piece and try to find a better solution...
excellent brother !
Thank you Craig! I need to get your bike on the channel soon brother!
We’ll figure out a time place and date and get that done 👊
You mentioned being shorter than the owner. How’d the size large feel when you were test riding it? Most the bikes I own are in the 450 reach range but come across a size large on sale
The reach at 480mm a bit long for me. But I really think it depends on your ride style. If you like popping around I would stay in the medium but if you like high speeds and stability i think large is ok
@@frankiesemtb thanks bro for the input!
Been the same one's on market pl for months now! I keep stopping at them to have another look but there all this orange and black colour its pretty gross! Orange black and lime green is out for me lol
Seems like bought the wrong bike. Orbea Wild uses stiff carbon meant to be supportive, not plush.
Super curious about this guys shock (coil setup) as I just got the same bike and am about to put the same shock on the rear. According to pretty much every measurement guide (e.g. TFtuned, et al), I should, at 200lbs fully geared up, should be on a 450lbs coil to be at 29% ish sag. This guy says he was at 25% with that same coil... I get he wanted to make it a little more plush, but is REALLY at 30% sag on a 400lbs coil?? He's got 25lbs on me so I would have thought the 450 would be at over 30% for him.
Yeah man I mad a mistake when filming and made a comment up top to correct that. Started off with a 550lbs coil and changed to a 500lbs coil. My mistake and I hope this helps.
@@bdub127 it does. Thanks so much. I'm actually planning on going with the sprindex coil on a dhx2, to specifically address the adjustability. 450 to 500 which should give me from 29ish to 24ish % sag. Agree on the aggressive nature of the bike and am looking to smooth it out just a bit. Only 4 rides thus far, so I'm still dialing it in, at least the fork. I'll deal with the shock when I pick that up next week.
By the way, I did go with a 170mm fork, gotta think that 180 might void the warranty... 🤔🤔
Mine has the jailbreak Eplus, EXT ARMA, intend bandit, Berd wheels, trickstuff brakes and she flipping rips!
Nice upgrades! Bet it rides like a dream!
Any motor rattle?
There was a little but the gravel, dirt rocks were louder.
Hahahaha! Can't wait to ride my Levo again tomorrow to erase that old Bosch rattle sound off my head. The Trek Rail amplified that motor rattle worst.. ugh.
I have turbo levo alloy and sounds louder too
Beautiful bike, but I wouldn't buy a bike without a removable battery.
That is the one big downside of this bike
Well commencal and specialized same battery and ppl love it
Lol. Hate hate... Wrong bike for this guy... Trolo
