Robert, hopefully you see this. I'm also a Sailor and I'm stationed right outside of Jacksonville FL. You've seen the ship, and now you can see the shore side of the Navy. I'd love to give you a brief tour for a video. Just reply to this comment if you're interested we can go from there brother.
Love this
I’m from Canada but lived in Springhill FL for almost a year absolutely loved the difference between the landscapes and scenery
@@dakotachristmas6423 that’s so wild to see somebody else from Springhill. I am also from Spring Hill Florida I live off of Coronado.
@@jaysonnovak4457 I’m not from Springhill I’m from Canada but I lived in Springhill recently
@@jaysonnovak4457 you stalking me close to the same street if you are hi
I’m a Navy Veteran also. Rob I really appreciate you spending time on a carrier. Your trip made their day and mine ! Being in squadron VAW-116 we were responsible for the COD from landing to launch. There was never a shortage of helpers from everyone on the deck , to unload the mail from that plane. Now you need to go from Pollywog to a Shellback ceremony.
As a Navy Veteran, Robert, these videos make me so proud of our active duty sailors that are out there living the dream. So fun to watch you get so much enjoyment going out to the boat and spending time with these guys and gals. Watching jets land and launch off these ships will never not amaze me
GSFN Petty Officer 3rd class Vet. here as well. and I 2nd this msg. also agree it makes me proud of my service.
Amen! As a veteran of the Air Force I agree. So proud of our men and women of the armed forces.
I love the respect that you give our service members because they deserve it and more
too bad trump doesnt give us the same respect nor ya'll who vote for him and his magitez
what did you expect.. they flew him out and gave him a complimentary tour... respect is the least he could do.

Rob, enjoyed having you on board with us! It was a pleasure hosting you and Austin. Thanks for the great conversations!
It was an honor!!! A few weeks later I’m still amazed that it happened! I can’t wait to do it again!!! Thank you so much for the hospitality!!!
@@deermeatfordinner BIBLE calls us all to be real, sober minded souls, who live holy lives on earth.
BIBLE calls nor expect nobody to be:
- religious of any kind
- monk
- nun
BIBLE expect us to turn our LACK OF KNOWLEDGE into KNOWLEDGE OF TRUTH (HOSEA 4:6)
Each human life on earth:
- repent
- BORN AGAIN and GO AND SIN NO MORE
- be baptised in HOLY SPIRIT /THE COMFORTER
- LIVE HOLY
= soul, after earthly death in HEAVEN. Easy logic, asks no degree in anything.
Bible calls us to give out RIGHTEOUS JUDGMENT, no to keep our mouth shut and support everything with blind eyes and deaf ears.
See no evil, speak no evil and hear no evil - that old saying, it belongs to masons, am I right again? The vow of silence of theirs.
SOULS, dare to read and study BIBLE (KJV) and search about FREEMASONRY.
I served on USS CORAL SEA CV-43. This video brought back memories. I was stationed in Norfolk as well. Thanks Rob and glad you are not slowing down after your stroke.
I'm a Navy Vet and this video made my day Rob. I was Stationed at NAS Oceana and did mostly hydraulics repairs and changing tires on those big beautiful F-18's Thanks for the trip down memory lane haha
Hey mate, can you tell me if that is normal on the greyhound when landing @1:55 the black tubes on the left landing gear seem to be dragging along the deck of the ship? Are they not meant to be connected to something? Just curious and hopefully i hear back from you :). Thanks in advance and God Bless.
@@xenxike500 Well they definitely looked like they were connected before touchdown. I'm not familiar with the Greyhound but any tubes contacting that "Non-Skid" surface of the deck are gonna get torn to shreds so your absolute correct I don't think that was normal and probably something malfunctioned with he hydraulics to cause that piston to decompress way too far. Maybe that's what caused the last minute flight cancellation at the end of the video. They always do pre-flight visual inspection and that's when that sort of thing can be found. Aside from the rubber tires and tail hook nothing else should be contacting the deck during landing. Very interesting and good on you for spotting that!
Hey mate thanks for replying :) i appreciate it a 100%, quiet interesting to re watch it and see it hit the deck in slow mo! Interesting aircraft. You seem to be spot on as well with the decompress way too far, it seems to be hitting the deck way too hard. Thank God that nothing major happened and no one was injured and it was picked up before they got back on, if it was that issue. And i have worked with American forces as well as i am Australian Army vet Artillery Gunner! Loved working with your colleagues you guys rock as a nation as well! @@12982evets
@@xenxike500 By the way if you pause the video then press < or > you can go forward or backwards frame by frame for detailed viewing of a video but ya gotta have a good connection and high definition or it's not that great. Hope you find that useful 😉
😅😅😅😅😅😅😅........nice you.
Was in the Navy when I wore a younger mans clothes. 2 ships, and only visited a carrier. Glad to serve on much smaller boats and thankful for those who did serve on the great carriers. Go Navy 🇺🇲
So happy that you and Austin got to experience this! I remember vividly how exciting it was to visit my Dad on the USS Lexington when I was 10 - 12 years old. Go USA and God bless the USA! Jesus Christ loves you!🙏❤️💯
As a plank owner of the GW, it's good to see it still doing it's duty after all these years. Shout out to all my shipmates past and present! Thanks for keeping us safe!
I must say that I love the hunting and fishing videos, and seeing Sarah and the girls, but this ... This was such an incredibly awesome, informative look into just one of the many ships that are out on patrol protecting America. But more than that, are the many talented and incredible individuals who work seamlessly together to insure that all phases of the mission will proceed flawlessly. You are so fortunate to have experienced that first hand. I am incredibly grateful to all who serve, and have served. Thank you for your service. Stay safe. All the best from Alaska.
Holy crap, that mustve been incredible! My uncle was on carriers for 6 years, and grandpa in Subs for 12. I cant wait to watch this and I can only imagine how it all felt. Oh Rob you better make that hunt happen! That man looks 25 how has he served 30 years 😅
That hunt is going to happen!!!
@deermeatfordinner I can't wait to see it! Amazing to see the places and situations you get into 🤣 surprises me everytime man.
This was dope. To those aboard the USS GW, THANK YOU. I know it's not easy ....but all of America THANKS YOU. Let freedom ring 🙏
I went out on a family day with my Uncle he was a pilot of a f18. We sailed out of Norfolk VA on the USS Harry Truman. It was a wild experience the smells on the carrier are like.no other. My Uncle had his own small room he shared with another pilot. I learned alot carriers, 1 thing I found shocking was the amount of lady's who went to sea. They ended up pregnant lol !
I was on a big deck with women onboard for nearly 10 months. Not one got pregnant once we deployed. Not saying it doesn't happen, but it's rare.
Robert,
My son works on F-18s on a carrier in the Pacific right now. Thank you for your patriotism and for doing a video highlighting where these awesome people live. Go Navy! TGBTG!!
Proud Navy Dad!!
Thank you so much!!! Your son is doing great work!!! Them men get it done!!!
USAF here, 50 years ago. Great video, and thanks for the respect you showed my brothers and sisters.
Robert! I'm tongue-tied.....YOU DOG! I would die for an opportunity like that. Good for you and your crew. What an experience! Hoooorah to all our service men and women out there doing the job each day!
The white link on the chain means it’s 50 feet from the anchor. Links are painted different colors every 25 to indicate distance from anchor. Learned this at Sea School when getting my captain’s license to run charters in the future
The white link was also a swivel.
I served with CDR Elliot Weston (the Navigator) in three different commands! He's a great guy! Happy memories from Whidbey and Bahrain!
Wow what an experience brother! You are blessed. Thank your for sharing your life with us, Robert!
I spent 4 years on the uss eisenhower carrier at the end desert storm. Did 2 med cruises during that time. The white link signifies 50ft from the anchor and also measures how many shots. 2 white links and a red detachable link is 1 shot or 15 fathoms, a fathom is equal to 6ft
The best YT video I've watched in a long time, maybe ever! What a sense of pride you get knowing we have so many great people watching over our freedom.
Thank you so much!!!
OMG-Thank you for this video. My son Alec served on the USS Nimitz for five years in the Pacific. This video showed what he lived. You are so fantastic to show what our sailors do for our country. I will forever be a viewer of your channel. You are a great American. Thank you again. I just wish I could have been with you.
That is awesome!
Oh Robert Thank you so much. Thank you to all our military and veterans for their service. God Bless. Continued success with your recovery. I am crying happy tears for you.
Heres the thing Rob, once you get USE to that jet taking off and landing, it becomes THE BEST SLEEP of your life!! To the point to where when you DONT have that going off over your head, it gets hard to sleep. It took me about 2-3 years to get to where i could sleep a FULL nights sleep, not waking up, like deep REM sleep. Another thing that makes for great sleep on the carrier, high speed maneuvers!! Lmbo. Just straight up 😴😴😴🤣🤣
Rob, I have been following you for many years now and let me tell you, that is your best work yet. Absolutely fantastic mate and as a 20 year veteran of the Australian Army, I am proud to call the USA our big brother.
I’m glad you got to experience what I did in the Navy from beginning to end aircraft carrier sailor
God bless our troops!! So cool to see all of this❤❤ AUSTIN YOURE FROM LEBANON COUNTY?! THATS WHERE WE ARE FROM!! COME AND VISIT!!
I'm glad you got to see the life I lived for over 30 years. I retired back in 2009.
Rob and Austin, how cool! What an opportunity to be on the aircraft carrier! The thing is huge! One of your coolest videos!
The white painted links help determine how much chain they have out each white shackle represents 90 feet, and will be placed, sometimes on either side of a connecting shackle as you start to get to the end, of the shackles they turn yellow, letting you know you’re close to the end then the last remaining chain is painted red letting you know the end is near
This is special I’m proud to be an American
my son was on the uss carl vinson, he is a 1o year navy vet. Happy thanksgiving to ALL our military and safe travels for all
Don’t forget about the people who built this ship. I had the pleasure to work on it for 2 years during her refueling and overhaul. Amazing ship
Thank you for your service!
I am a plank owner on this fine vessel. 1990 seems like a long time ago. ;-) Glad to see the old lady going strong. God bless the USA
Man those sailors look so young but that being said that thank you so much for your service
I served 12 years in the navy.deployed on the ike, the inchon and the Okinawa. The fantail was my favorite place to hang out in my off time.
Awesome video. Proud to say my son is a Marine.
Semper Fi
The torque of that catapult was incredible
It’s too hard to explain! It’s just instant! You would love it!!!
I use to hear stories when the ship was in Newport News that the cats were tested by throwing junk cars. I never saw it first hand and figured someone was telling a fib.
Robert, I’m glad you were able to go on the ship George Washington I served on it for two years I was part of the squadron it took you out to the ship I served we served for two years on that particular ship so I’m glad you had a chance to go out and see it. I’m currently retired in Jacksonville and I am a big deer meat for dinner. Have a great day.
The Cod is amazing!!! It looks just like a prop plane, but when you get in it… it’s a work horse that can move!!!
What an Incredible opportunity.....Thank you very much for sharing! Proud to be an American!
I believe the white shackle is an indicator for the length of chain that has been released off the boat, the chain should be attached to an anchor.
Robert, I absolutely love all your content and how vast your content is, but this, this shows all of us the INCREDIBLE way we have saviors on the sea and in the air from these incredible launches and collections, stunning my friend, absolutely stunning.
Wow, thank you!
Man Robert been a sub for at least 8 yrs now I can't tell you how fortunate you are I worked for the Navy for 10 yrs I'm a born again Christian for 33 yrs now I never got to fly out to an aircraft carrier I got to visit nuclear powered ships I can't say which ones but man brother your blessed by Jesus my son is a 💜 purple heart combat veteran and he's never got to do this I'm freaking happy for you man what an experience I'm a pilot so I know what this means fantastic bro,!!!! Oh I have to add this little bit I'm an avid niner fan for over 50 yrs sorry bro we're going to beat the bucks on Sunday lol!!!!!
Yessir! Thank you so much for your service and what you do!!! Looking backwards at the game… ya, y’all beat the heck out of us!!!
So glad you got to see and share what the navy does. BTW, the white link in the anchor chain measures the distance in fathoms that the anchor is paid out.
I'm with Rob, that's as good as it gets. You never let us down, what you can come up with to entertain your subscribers is amazing. God Bless you and yours!
Rob,
I’ve been watching your videos since I was in high school, and you’ve been a huge inspiration to me and the way I wanted to live my life as a man. It was an honor and almost like a dream come true to meet you and shake your hand. I really wished we had a chance to talk more in depth like we had discussed but it was such an honor to even meet you at all. Thank you for all that you do. You really have been a role model for me to look up to.
It was an honor to meet you and spend some time with you. I wish we had more time to chat!!! Thank you so much for what you do!!!
I am proud to be an American too! This was so freakin cool! Thank you all for your service, so we can have peace and freedom. Amazing ❤
I'm proud to be an American and a Air Force Dad to a SSgt in Electronic Warfare.
"Never Forget Our Fallen Heros" who gave all for Our Country.
🇺🇸
The white link is a swivel to relive pressure on the chain as the anchor rotates, to prevent the chain from snapping.
Honestly, Robert, this is literally the best video I’ve seen from you, and to be quite frank, was a highly emotional one for me. I’ve had…. And have still friends and classmates that have been where you went… I’m the patriotic man that tears up at our National Anthem. I sing proudly. Pray for the safety of our military. I could not enlist due to medical reasons. I wish I was able to so badly.
TGBTG
Thank you,
Deron
I’m the same way!!!! When the star spangled Banner is played, I always sing along and often with tears in my eyes!
I’m the same way!!!! When the star spangled Banner is played, I always sing along and often with tears in my eyes!
God Bless our Armed Forces...That was some of the better than any life reality footage, I got goosebumps just watching. Thanks for the footage, I bet the editing was challenging.👍
If not the best video ever Rob, it's right up there! Thanks for sharing your adventure and those fine men and women keeping us safe! God bless America and you and yours! Remain blessed and keep the video's coming ☝️
What a great video Robert! Watching made my heart swell with with pride for our. great country and especially for the men and women that defend our freedom!!! Let's all pray for our country that she will continue to be the light of freedom!
19:33 black is the LENGTH of …. The WHITE is the marker of the…… LENGTH. You can measure by looking. 24:46 PAO
Man, I hate people who go around grabbing other people. I don't care if it's an act of friendship you need to keep your hands to yourself.

What an awesome experience!! We have the BEST MILITARY!!!!🇺🇸❤️🇺🇸💙
My husband was on the first ever med tour that the George Washington done. He served from 1993-1997 on the George Washington. CVN 73.
Haha while watching the beginning of the video when you met Monty from Texas I had to take a double take. Iam a Monty from Texas as well. Navy is an awsome branch of the military. I did four 4yrs of NJROTC .Did sea camp on a carrier. Before I signed enlistment after high-school was offered a high paying job and went that route. Not a day goes by where I wonder what life would of brought if I would of enlisted and went to OCS. GOD BLESS all the men and women of our US military. Bless the 4 Coast Guard crew that were in the chopper crash in Alaska last week. May they all have a speedy recovery.
So glad you were able to have that time on the George Washington. MY grandson Jacob is on the Gerald Ford right now somewhere in the middle east. It was so good to see the different areas of the ship that is similar to where he works. Thank you for all you do. Good bless you and your family!
They are doing great work and he’s learning things he can only learn there. Thank you so much for everything!!
I grew up not far from Bremerton, WA. I had the pleasure to tour the Nimitz with a friend who was stationed on it. In high school I was in NJROTC and got to tour Bangor sub base. Thank you for this it brought back a lot of memories.
Awesome video! Thanks for sharing. The 19 year old sailor from Vegas has a bright future. I would love to see the other sailor on a gator hunt with you. I too thank all of our military for their sacrifice and serving our country. Stay safe.
Man Robert thank you! Brings back memories!!! I had a coffin rack when I was on the destroyer! Great video thank you!

Always amazing content my nephew is stationed in California right now coming back home to Virginia soon probably going to Norfolk love all you do ❤❤❤❤
I served 6 years in the Navy and I was stationed on the USS Bulkeley. It was in Norfolk but is now in Spain. Your videos got me through some tough times in the Navy and I would downloaded them when I went underway and binge new ones when I got back. I would love to send you my ships coin.
I would love to have a coin from your ship! All my coins stay on my desk where I edit!!!! Your comment really made me smile!!!

What an amazing video, the cat shot at the end was just icing on the cake. Loved it. Thanks for all the great videos!
Robert, that was an amazing video. Thank you so much. As a Navy veteran and Vietnam veteran, I was proud to serve aboard the USS Bon Homme Richard CVA-31. It was the only aircraft carrier to serve during WWII, Korea, and Vietnam. Your tour of the Washington, CVA-73, brought back a lot of fond memories of my time aboard ship and in the Navy as well. I definitely grew up to be the man I am today, thanks to my service to this wonderful country. God bless you, Robert, your family, and all the service men and women serving our country to this day.
Great video that highlights the amazing people that serve this country.

That was an amazing experience! And thank you all for your service!
I couldn’t wipe the smile off of my face the whole video. I’ve never done that but I can certainly appreciate the levity of that experience. A humbling few days for sure.
I’m in the process of joining the Navy, that’s awesome that you went on an aircraft carrier.
White gives you a depth by counting the white links I think. Robert I am so proud of you for this video, and so proud to be an American. I can only imagine what it's like to witness up close all the working of the carrier.... On the lighter side I really was waiting for you to do a "Catch and Cook" from the stern of the ship LOL.
The white link is also a swivel.
Watch out for red. Red means run.
This was awesome to see! Coming off a deployment on one of this big aircraft carries I’m glad you got to see and experience the way we work and the way we live!
What a absolute stunning video brother! You made me feel proud to be an American! Keep it up for us all.
