500ish HP is plenty to have a blast with on the street. Just can’t beat the natural feel and sound of NA. So much obsession with boost these days.
You said it right man a streetable no turbo or supercharger,just all motor!
Depends on what you want. If you want to play with modern hotrods, you need 750-800hp or more and boost makes that easier and more streetable.

Power to weight is the name of the game. A big ass car needs 650 hp to go fast.
That's why big cars need big blocks. Now add boost on that

This is a A Beautiful Build and so is the Ring Brothers 66 Chevelle. I am so Blessed that i could build mine in my 2 1/2 car Garage, she is everything i could want her to be

Ls swaps are just overdone at this point but I definitely wouldnt mind this beauty
....overdone? How many SBC or BBC or SBF or BBF or Hemi or 2JZ swaps have been done relative to when they were introduced...? smh #donthate
@@genemounce8302 sure a lot but in tje time frames not nearly as much as ls swaps. Hell go to any car show and id bet over 50% of all chevys have some variant of an ls

What a wicked sound coming from the exhaust, the cam they used in the motor makes all the difference. Really well done build RS chassis and the color and interior build quality is outstanding, it has the right combination of performance and dependability. I would have preferred a manual T56, but the automatic is drop it in gear and go. Shawn as always thank you for bringing these cool cars to us, you have the best day job !

Im a Chevelle guy I got 2 of them and that Chevelle has got some old skool craftsmanship,not overally done with some sparkle,nothing stick out too much everything is blended well.

it's funny when someone with a mild ls3 tells Shawn that the car is a beast when it really isn't shit compared to what he's been in. for crying out loud Shawn has a pretty sick ZL1. lol
it does not have any driver aids, and the roadster shop chassis is a very primitive rear live axle design chassis, and with that narrow front track, it is easy to lose control on this chevelle even with a mild ls3.

Beautiful car but what's with the Pep Boys leds in the grill??
Beautiful chevelle and awesome job but that "Pushed up in the center" after market bumper looks horrible and makes the front end look like you ran up over a stump. On original bumper DOES NOT push up in the center and should match the horizontal lines of the grill. Get an original bumper on the car and you will change the look of the front end completely.
Even from a slow roll he wouldn’t give it hell so we could kind of see & hear it. I got a feeling this car wasn’t meant to be used for a drag race but for the highway.

Absolutely beautiful car, but those engine covers to me are hideous, an LS isn’t an ugly engine.
Not a fan of the engine covers either but personally I always think LS engines need a little dressing up

The 66 is my favorite. And this a very nice car, done right. However, the next time he shows it he really should clean up the wheels and calipers a little bit.
And maybe run a California Car Duster over it.
