I hate to be the critic but I wonder if he killed his chances as a serious actor because of his fear of offending his wife. He could have been so much better in his role as Christian Grey if he had the freedom to play the role as it was written. Also I believe this last child was an attempt (by Ms. Warner) to produce a male namesake and solidify the marriage, after his role as Grey. We all know there was chemistry between the two characters in the Grey movies just awkward for a married man. His career seems to have stalled because he is trying hard not to offend his wife in the characters that he's most suited to play and that we all can agree is a leading romantic man. I never saw him as James Bond. The Bond characters are sexy, confident and daring. Three girls um, where's that male testosterone? But then again he was the only male in his family. I wish him good luck in life as a family man I think his movie career will take a back seat to his role as a father . It's a good thing and maybe all he will have in the future and there's nothing wrong with it and for some, this is what life is all about. It was nice seeing him as the savvy character Grey and we will always enjoy his effort. Perhaps when "Robin Hood Two" is written and, if ever filmed, with him as the character, "Sheriff of Nottingham" he may get a reprieve but there's always, "Once Upon a Time" because television and films are only fantasy. LOL
i agree with u! perhaps why fsog trilogy was hated mainly because of lack of portrayal of Christian Grey. From the very start, jamie was married and i think his marriage made him a little off during the first installment. i somehow believe that jamie and dakota has feeling during the years of working with each other however people should respect jamie's family too!! how i wish they are real! Might as well as make them the cast for grey: as told by christian grey
Grandraplady akaAMB - agree - he is fantastic in romantic drama, which I Think he avoids in future due to his married situation. It is ok as he might have earned enough to be able to do so. As long as he avoids that scruffy beard, which of course is entirely up to himself, it is good. But he looks like Colin Farrel with the beard - Maybe that is why his wife loves him with his scruffy beard.
