Props to the iron workers who built that contraption.
It's not too bad, no one expects them to jump when they get to the top 😅
the part that freaks me out is when they have to remove the safety harness equipment at that height.
I love that he’s in a full harness, and she’s just chillin “yaaaaas yaaaaas”
It’s because, if the girl accidentally falls, she knows what to do, but if he falls without a harness, he has no clue how to land in the pool safely and probably will injure himself. But yk, I’ll let you think that she’s just “slaying” 🤪
Edit: I swear to gyat it’s not that serious 😭
@@footballfanfootball123do you you not see the massive cage around them it’s impossible to fall it’s probably just for people to feel safe

@@footballfanfootball123it wasn’t exactly a cage like Porkey was talking about, but there is a layer of protective stuff around the pool. Although, that wouldn’t protect you from an injury
Nope and 1000 times more nope. You're not even getting me up there. Huge respect to her for being able to do this.
She has to be a male athlete performing on a woman's sport with balls that big
All it is is just practice. You and me falling into the pool would hurt ourselves. But she already knows how to dive into it
@@percfiend69206and I’m ok with that cause you know what i am, I’m uninjured
But also I thought that pools were pumped with air to cushion their landings, but I guess that you’re not at a real event lmao
I wouldnt even think about jumping let alone doing a flip, mad respect
Right? I don't even play around at 12' Just a str8up, feet first jump. I'm gonna look up what the apx speed, from 20m, would be. I knew a girl that landed bad from lower (about 40ish feet) her list of injuries included a ruptures spleen.
@@Ten_Mil_WillOuch!! Hope she survived and is doing well!! That's a very dangerous injury that can turn deadly quikly!!
It takes years of training to not be afraid of this. She did it like it ain’t no thang. Hats off to these extraordinary athletes 😊
When I was a first year electrician I had to install a light on the very top of an Olympic diving board and let me tell ya, almost needed to wear my brown pants to work that day.
First time I climbed a wind turbine for an electrical company, I was shaking from the time I started to climb, until about 35 minutes after I returned back to flat ground. I still shake.
@@CrypZi I would recommend becoming an electrical engineer. You won’t wear out your body that way.
Im not usually afraid of heights but this made my toes tingle and my legs start to shake. Voluntarily jumping from that height is insane.
@@timm8998 The idea that the platform is designed for jumping is what freaks me out. It's that "fear you might jump" concept that makes me anxious, almost like I'm being encouraged to jump.
I have taken a motorcycle over 200mph before but I still wouldn't touch that ladder
The glowing respect I feel for the incredible people who can do this..!
🙏🏼🥰
Hats off to this diver, that's an amazing thrilling sport and it takes some serious courage.I'm more man enough to admit. This woman is way better at this score than I could ever be
She's a pro and still sounded like a bag of rocks hitting the water. I'd be dead for sure.
I just found a new appreciation for divers!! Never knew the diving board was this high!!
She is an excellent diver. No way would I ever think of jumping off something that high.
Really puts the rx-78 into perspective.
not to mention the cockpits from evangelion are nearly the size of gundams (18m)
You know what? I'm glad physics says we can't have giant mech robots that can move thousands of tons of metal at physics-breaking speeds.
The horror of giant mech robots that can move fast and easily destroy anything in it's path would have been the end to humanity.
Oh hell naw. I'd be able to get *up* there, but to get to the edge like that, I think I'd be army crawling 😂 kudos to her!!!!
This is giving me major anxiety!! I'm afraid of falling , I'm not afraid of heights but I am afraid of falling from a major height .

Diving from that high must be scary because either the water’s gonna catch you, or the _water’s gonna catch you._
It took her so long to hit the water! Badass for sure! ❤

Honestly, I never realized that was quite that high. New respect for divers.
I’ve stood on a 10 (maybe 15m?) diving platform and man, 32ft doesn’t sound like much, but looking down for there you realise like DAMN, I’m jumping off the roof of my house at it’s peak rn 😂
20m is between 6-7 stories high, just look out from a building, it is freaking high

You know it’s an insane sport, when snowboarders look at you like you are nuts…
It's really not. It's an incredibly controlled environment with very little risk when you practice.
@@DS-lk3tx Yeah but people like to regularly be perplexed by everything no matter how non-invigorating it is in reality.
@@DS-lk3txit really is though. Cliff diving is definitely more extreme than Olympic platform diving. You land wrong, you're in hospital.
I would literally be stuck to the bars crying
I've been actual cliff diving. Terrifying and exhilarating. Nothing like the extended sensation of falling. The wind through your hair. Adrenaline creeping up your spine. It's magical.
My guy was looking for the diving equivalent of "Send it!!! Eeeeeeup~~!"
That is one brave and talented woman!!
I've walked a lot of steel when i was younger. It takes more than just nerves. Being able to function at great heights actually requires training. Think of it as a means to fool the brain. The more you know the more confident you will be, and confidence is 100% a key element to being safe and comfortable at heights.
Being over confident is how people end up hurting themselves unfortunately.
I used to fill CMU retaining walls, with someone holding the hose on the ground below you so it doesn't buck as much. The first few times my legs would be shaking but like you said, you have to try to just be on autopilot mentally. When we would actually lay the block, usually mortar would have to be transported by wheelbarrow from the mixer to where the wall is, and sometimes you'd have to cross big, open trenches using a plank that was narrower than the actual wheelbarrow itself, and that was the same thing- if you think about it, you'll start losing your balance
Glazier here. If the heights dont bother you then being up high doesn't take much skill to stay calm and collected. So far the heighest ive been in a swing stage is close to 80 stories on a high rise.
"Takes training" Ha! All it takes is signing up for the wrong job and a willingness to not get fired.
He a champ for standing on the edge. I would be crawling on the platform
Bro you’re a champ for making that climb. I was having an anxiety attack just watching this guy do it
“What do you say before you jump?”
*Bismillah* 👑
No way would I do that. Just look in the video my fear of heights started kicking in.
Mad respect for all high divers
And at the end of the day, most if not all high divers retire due to horrible injuries because one and just one failed jump is enough to get a hospital trip
I jumped from like a 5m diving board recently. I went from feeling fine to my legs being jelly by the time I got to the edge 😂

@@thaddeusgenhelm8979And at those altitudes, for sky diving, it tricks the brain that one might not sense the real height. But at 20m, your brain can easily tell you are in danger.

When I was in college many years ago I did 10 meters and below but couldn't do anything above that due to near sightedness. One has to absolutely know where they are at all times at these heights. They are dangerous and at 10 meters I never went in feet first; I always entered the water hands first then the rest of me.
As someone who's afraid of heights, you're gonna have to break all four of my limbs just to post me up there.

@rockyevans1584 as a matter of fact, we did measure every spot that people jumped. It ranged from 40ft to over 120ft. This was 24 years ago, Quincy quarry in Massachusetts. It's filled in now because drunk people kept dying, the water was incredibly deep.
