I love to see your reviews. I wish you make a video to the backlight elit 45L and Maybe compare betwin the two.

Great introduction to the bag! Now you've had the pack for a while, I had a question about it's comfort: Hiking packs normally use the waist belt to transfer the weight of the pack to your hips, where it is easier to carry. Given the rotatable design of this pack's waist belt, do you find that the weight of your non-camera gear sits heavily on the shoulders? Thanks.

I am looking for a camera backpack for weekend overnight hikes in the mountains. I am choosing between this bag and the WANDRD FERNWEH. I wonder if the Mindshift 50l can fit a Sony a7iv with a lens and a DJI Mini 3 Pro with a controller. I do not want to buy an extra cube as I need space for the rest of my things. I am also curious about the breathability of the back panel. It does not look as good as the WANDRD one. I would really appreciate your comments on this.

A big drawback of this design is that access to the belt compartment is inconvenient when the pack is not on one's back. From this perspective I don't share the enthusiasm about camera cube accessible via the back panel. 1. It divides equipment into separate areas, you need to remember where is what. 2. Both areas require different access methods and these methods impede each other, with belt rotated. The back panel is herder to access as the belt does not keep the pack flat. Once accessing the back panel with pack on, horizontal on the one's front, rotating the belt is hard and, with only the magnets closing the belt pocket, one risks it opening when rotating and dropping contents.

Having said this, I love my MindShift Panorama 22 from previous generation. The speed and convenience of accessing the camera and lenses is amazing. The pack is also comfortable for longer hikes.

I own all of the previous models of Rotation 180 and I agree on all your points. I bought the 180 Pro because of the first issue you pointed out thinking that it will be solved but came across with issue you mentioned on your 2nd point. I can live with that but another issue I have with the Pro is too bulky for a day to day need and too heavy if fully loaded. I sold the Pro and got the Horizon 34L. Size is perfect but I lost the back access. Things I wish they can implement in the next iteration to at least solve the issue you mentioned
      - Back access on the 34L. 50L is too bulky/heavy for a back carry camera gears.
      - It would be nice if the belt strap is removable (at least on the 34L) and implement my next suggestion so it can be use as a daily carry bag.
      - Provide side or a back access on the belt bag so that contents can be access easily if the bag is not on your back. Kind of like a camera cube accessible on the side.

I have this pack and don't think there are any drawbacks to the design. They make 50 different styles of bags, if this one is not to you liking then buy another model like the elite 45l.

I wish the bag also had a luggage pass through.
