A short self-filmed video of a recent project I built in my workshop for some great clients on Pender Island, BC. / jacobsenwooddesign www.jacobsenwooddesign.com/
thanks man. I started labouring in high school, then starting taking on solo interior projects while going to university to help pay for it and kind of taught myself something new on each project with the guidance of the internet.
Beautiful work, beautifully shot. Subscribed. You've inspired me to try something similar. I was wondering about the thickness of the legs and of the top. Could you share those dimensions? Again, a pleasure to watch.
thanks so much! getting setup in a new shop soon, planning to make more videos. I posted video a couple weeks ago that my friend shot for me, it's way better than this one haha. can't remember exact dimensions, but the top is around 1.5"-thick and the legs are around 4"x4".
Beautiful table Danny. How do you like working with Ash vs Oak? Would you say its harder on the tools or maybe weighs more? I'm looking for alternatives to Oak. But something that isn't as heavy. Thanks
Ash is a great hardwood and especially for the price. It's hard and durable, but less so than oak. I'd say it's machining properties are right between Douglas fir and oak. Look up the densities online to see the difference!
Just a hobbiest woodworker, wondering where you’re getting decent hardwood from since I noticed you’re also in BC, feel free to PM if you’d rather not share online.
Beautiful table, sweet and simple! Loved the video. You live in a little slice of heaven, don't you!!
Such a good table.❤😃
Ash is amazing and the design is really nice! Great work.
thanks for the kind comment! I just put another video up yesterday, more coming soon.
April Wine! Deep cut.
I’ve done that 2:58 tabletop struggle dance many times 😂 great work, I’d be a faithful sub if you make more videos!
I loved the music ❤
Awesome!
Very nice sound ❤
great job! What system did you use to connect the top to the frame?
Hello, big fan here. Q: for you if you don't mind. How did you get started in woodworking?
thanks man. I started labouring in high school, then starting taking on solo interior projects while going to university to help pay for it and kind of taught myself something new on each project with the guidance of the internet.

Nice work Man. What finish was that you used? I reckon it kept the color exactly what it should be.
thanks! it's osmo topoil 3025.
Nice project. Finish came out great. Also, a voice over would have been more enjoyable than the music 😊

Did you use the lamello p14 to connect the tabletop?
I never thought of that.
Do they accomodate wood movement?
yup they allow for some movement along their long axis.
@@dannyjacobsen that seems a great way to attack tabletops?
Did you come up with yourself?
What’s the finish you used?
My last name is JACOBSON. where did your last name come from?
norway!
