    The Peloton Tread has a 20” x 59” running belt. The belt has a red stripe down the middle to help walkers and runners stay centered during activity. The speed range is 0 to 12.5 miles per hour. The deck inclines to a maximum grade of 12.5% but does not decline. The motor is only 3.0 horsepower.
    Peloton provides trainer-led content for the Tread. Users can opt into automatic incline control with the classes. There are speed and incline knobs with jump buttons for making adjustments to the treadmill settings. These knobs spin forward or backward at the touch of a hand to speed up, slow down, incline, or decline the treadmill. This procedure interferes minimally with your walking or running experience. The jump buttons in the center help users round up to the next incline or speed level at the touch of a button.
    The premium training content is visible through the 23.8-inch touchscreen display. This display’s quality is excellent with reduced glare for ease of viewing. There are speakers above the screen and on the rear of the console. Exercisers can also pair Bluetooth headphones or plug wired headphones into the audio jack.
    In addition to training classes, the Peloton Tread has Lane Break (a game-like running workout) and scenic runs. Entertainment content is also available on the Peloton Tread.
    With one Peloton membership, walkers and runners can supplement their treadmill training with off-treadmill classes. There are classes for strength, yoga, and all the other Peloton equipment. Without a subscription, the Peloton Tread has very minimal features, so it is best for those who plan to subscribe.

    Great Review!

    Thanks for this thorough review! I checked out the nordictrac 2450 and sole f85 per your recommendation but those are some large and less aesthetically pleasing options. Do you have any recommendations for treadmills that are slim and designed well like the Peloton Tread? I have no need for the classes so if I pull the trigger on this one, it would solely be for the design and size.

      I don't have any video reviews on them yet, but some of the Echelon treadmills might fit what you are looking for. Technogym is very pricey, but their machines look very nice.

      The classes are excellent and there are so many programs available, not only for running, but for strength, yoga, mediation and more. I highly recommend.

    How would you say the cushioning on the Peloton deck compares to that of the Horizon 7.0 AT?

    • @whitneyld
      @whitneyld Před 2 měsíci

      I love Peloton’s content, but not the price, so I’m considering the Horizon. But would also like a bit more cushion 😬

      The Horizon 7.0 AT is definitely softer.

    I’m torn between the Horizon 7.8 and Peloton tread 😩 I like the fact that the Horizon isn’t a subscription based treadmill but also have a Peloton bike which I pay the subscription for. I don’t care for the classes but now that they included entertainment I can’t seem to make my up my mind! Someone send help lol

      That's definitely a tough choice. If it helps, I really like using Peloton on my tablet with the Horizon 7.8 AT.

      I have both the peloton bike and tread and really enjoy seeing my metrics from both. But it’s also nice to have the flexibility to change apps whenever you want. Horizon connects to peloton from my understanding so you could probably still accurately track distance.

      If you already pay for the classes in the bike they’ll be included with the treadmill

    Sounds so loud and I do not like that it has a hard running surface….bummer…what’s a good equivalent?

      The NordicTrack 2450 is a great soft cushioned alternative. The cushioning should also help your foot noise sound quieter.

    I have an opportunity to buy a tread for 1,000 dollars. Do you think this is worth it if I have no interest in the paid content?

    • @BestTreadmillReviews
      @BestTreadmillReviews  Před 4 měsíci

      $1000 could be a good deal depending on the condition of the machine, but you won't have many training options with the Tread. Without a subscription, you can only adjust the speed and incline and watch a mostly blank screen.

    I was initially thrilled to get my Peloton Tread, expecting a quality treadmill at this price. Sadly, the reality was a letdown. Just a few months after the first year warranty expired, the base malfunctioned. Attempts to fix it were futile, leading to the frustrating conclusion that it needed a complete replacement. Certainly not going to throw in good money after bad and spend another $1300 for a new base. Trash.

    Screen is shaking in your Vid like hell and ... by all means ... im sure im a lot more heavy then you, that cant be good for the userexperience
    😀

      @BestTreadmillReviews  Před 6 měsíci

      Strangely, I don't notice it at all, because the shaking is in time with my running. But, it is definitely a valid concern. I recommend checking out the Sole F85 and NordicTrack 2450!

      I am an owner who is 190lbs. I find the tread to be sturdy and a great user experience. The knobs are a game changer and make changing speed and incline so much easier than other treadmills. When I am away from home I miss my tread vs hotel treads.

      Subscriptions definitely aren't for everyone! I suggest the Horizon 7.8 AT and the Horizon 7.4 AT if you don't want a screen or a subscription!
