- We're less than a week out from the next season of Apex Legends and it's finally time to meet the latest competitor to join the games, and she just may be the Outlands' own Joker.
Respawn always releases videos introducing the new character so that players know their backstory, but Alter is either determined to hide the truth, has lots of different variants across dimensions, or just want to spread misinformation for fun... probably the latter honestly.

The more I think about it, pretty sure this “Who are you?” is supposed to be Alter’s version of “You wanna know how I these scars?”
She has so much Joker energy and I’m excited to see her in the game.
So, one of the more legitimate theories on her so far is that she is what is known as Subject 0. One of the first people Wraith worked on during the Void experiments that led to her own capabilities. In one of the lore story things (All text, no visuals) from SEVERAL seasons ago, Subject 0 had a burn scar on her left arm that goes into her gauntlet (which is on Alters model if you look close enough). The story also made note of her haunting eyes as well. She is obviously associated with the Void like what Wraith/Dr. Blasey's experiment was, and when you look at the shoulder pauldrons on the people dragging her away from the tombstone of her parents... the logo there? Ares Division! The folks who were running that void fiasco with Wraith. The details between Alter and subject zero are so obscure yet so specific that I would ACTUALLY be surprised if it wasn't the same person. Furthermore, I know that Wraith was the only remaining lab rat because all the other subjects failed, so how is Alter able to travel the void nexus? Well, looking at Alters void tactical it is EXTREMELY unstable. It looks like shattered glass, and its super messy compared to the more refined portals Wraith makes. So, the experiment with Subject 0 was likely an initial success, but the instability of her power (and perhaps her mind) scrapped hopes of the experiment's success. Also, she may be corrupted be *something* every time she goes into the void. Because the new Battle Pass emotes and skins are all corruption themed. And all the emotes are the legends being sucked into Alters portals and then becoming borderline possessed.

She’s mocking everyone else 80% of the trailer is her mocking other legends. During the football scenes all the other players are wraiths if you pause on the other players and look closely.

Yeah, I think I'm gonna end up loving this character. Her chaotic energy is gonna be so much fun.
