Hi, Everybody -
It's time for a new archetype. I'm doing the Magician this week, and I thought that would be fun because everybody likes a little magic. And that's where we're going to start.
What is it about magic that mesmerizes people? I'm going to start from a very ordinary perspective: your life, everything you do, and every choice you make is an act of transformation.
The Magician can learn the laws of the universe and maneuver them to act on their behalf. They have access to secret knowledge with authority over the world of matter, hidden from ordinary mortals who have yet to earn that right through the Mystery Schools.
Magicians show up in people in all kinds of delicious ways. They can take what looks ordinary and transform it as if out of the clear blue. Everybody has enchantment in them. Bring that into your life with a little effort because transformation is everything. It's everything.

Transforming "I'm bad" into "I'm good" into "I don't have to be good because bad/good don't exist in nature" has taken me all year so far but like you said, SO FREAKING HUGE!!! It's a game-changing transformation and sure feels like magic to me!

The most obvious formula of Divine magic is YHWH, the power of creation. A human can choose to dare to enter into devotion (Y), the silence of humility(H), the attunement of union(W), and absolute alignment with pure love(H). Such participation transforms us from an image of the Divine into the likeness of the Divine. It takes focus and discipline but well worth the effort!

I fount this was very enlightening, But, I find it interesting that you talked about the legend of Merlin and not Morgain Le` Fae? She was also a spell caster and mystic and just as powerful perhaps more than so Merlin, the same with the story of Jesus No one rarely speaks of his Mother Mary In my family she was the one my mother and maternal grandmother spoke to whenever they needed a miracle for example I was born premature and my mother was told by the doctors I would not live so my mother, grandmother and my Aunt made novena's to the mother and here I am today!! And although I do not subscribe to Catholicism or any other organized religions but I still do feel that there is a magical, mystical, mysterious, powerful energy in our universe that is greater than all of us but, I do speak to Mother Mary when I need help and she always manages to help me in mysterious ways that I never considered as a solution. There are a vast array of female saints, mystics, spell casters from various religions and unconventional traditions that many rely on for help at this point in time there and most of the time these Women who are Who are honored for their powers.

Freud said, 'Everything is about Sex'. Jung said, 'Everything is about Power'. Some others say everything is about Money. Sex, Money and Power are the basic drives of Humanity. If Love is there, all these are beautiful human experiences. If Love is absent, all these become detrimental.
This is the archetype I’ve been waiting for! As Virgo Sun and Gemini rising (both ruled by Mercury) and represented by the Hermit and the Magician in Tarot. I’ve always felt so deeply connected to this archetypal energy. Thank you for this!👏🏽👏🏽🙏🏽
My Favorite
I associate magicians with masculinity. I don’t know why. But it caused me to ask the question “what is the difference between a magician and a witch?” I think of myself as a bit witchy, and I wonder if I’m dealing with the same archetype?
To me I feel gender don't go with archetypes. Archetypes are beyond gender masculine and feminine in all of us whether male or female

We can see these yearning for power through history. It was the desire of a king in China to be immortal that built the Great Wall, it was this kind of desire for power that the world was conquered by several empires in history, even can be seen from the histories of Hitler, Mao, Stalin etc etc Even the biblical story of the Tower of Bebel. They all did it, mind over matter. At the core of the core, people want to be God. But none had succeeded and if they did, none lasted. At the end of it, we are still humans and we will die so in pursuit of whatever fantasy power we want, it’s good to acknowledge that it will never be permanent as we have an expiry ie limitation. And knowing this reality of our nature, we can decide whether any fantasies are worth the yearning. Knowing our nature, we can also actively choose what to manifest that truly matters. 😊
I loved nature as a child. I used to sit for hours by myself on a huge old oak tree with high twisted roots. A beautiful indigo snake was often there sunning. We both sat there as if we knew each other as friends. I didn't know that was magical. I thought everyone understood nature like that. I loved your video. Thank you.

Would you say the magician is the same as the mystic archetype?
I love this video. My late husband had sudden cardiac arrest 2yrs ago and hadn't had pulse for awhile as the paramedics were working on him. For some unknown reason I called forth the spirit of life to enter his body and right away he got pulse. It didn't last long and stopped, and again i called forth and right away again got pulse. They were able to transport him to er 25 miles. I wondered if his consciousness connected to the spoken words or what.
We need more doctors like Norm!
I find it fascinating that males are typically portrayed as light beings and women are cast as dark beings for magical powers. In our stories, I sense the imbalance. Is this true?

Love this as always! BBC made the fantastic novel Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell by the brilliant Susanna Clarke into an equally good minidrama series! It is far better than Harry Potter in my humble opinion in terms of depicting archetypal wisdom and magical-realism, invoking the invisible laws of Magic as an energetic science of nature. Same goes for His Dark Materials by Phillip Pullman! Pullman's universe is full of archetypal wisdom, check it out!

Much of the Archetypal patterns you discuss are conditioned patterns of the Ego...Very few are Individual unique characteristics of the Soul as you tell Anyone can strengthen, cultivate or break any pattern with the Power of Awareness/Love.

'spelling' is called just that for the reason of the power in it. You are casting spells with the words you write.
