    Nice video Marcus. As Marcus says, save some energy for when you reach the Brandenburger Tor. From there it's about 200 m to the finish line.

    Marcus! I'm running Berlin for the first time this year...where do you reco staying?

    • @marcusruns9003
      @marcusruns9003  Před 26 dny

      Budget dependent, the closer to the start/finish ie the Tiergarten the better. However the transport links are excellent in Berlin so you can get better value just outside of that area.

    how did you shave off 1hr from the 1st marathon?

    • @marcusruns9003
      @marcusruns9003  Před rokem

      A combination of things that I won’t do justice to in this answer. So consistent structured training built over the years. Lots of base building miles, with faster effort work. A few backwards steps but kept trying and kept moving forward.

    How long was it between your 4.05 and 3.01?

    • @marcusruns9003
      @marcusruns9003  Před 9 měsíci +1

      Between 4.55 and sub 3 was quite a while. I had at least 4 years where I didn’t run. And when I returned I was inconsistent, then I had at least 3+ years of structured and regular training before I broke sub 3

    One question, does it cost money in order to be on the marathon?

    • @marcusruns9003
      @marcusruns9003  Před 9 měsíci

      There’s a few extras but it starts at €163. Some off which I feel should be included like the timing chip which is approximately €6
