Wow this video transports me back 40 or so years ago to the 1980's when these boomboxes were all the rage & everybody wanted to buy one etc! I recall them being played loudly & carried around on the shoulder, the 8 or so size D batteries they took soon being discharged as these boomboxes were rather power hungry. I have a Sharp GF 9191X boombox in my room at work & I have a Sony CF-570L boombox in my kitchen & a JVC RC-838 boombox in my spare bedroom & they are all still in full working order. I do have a Sony CF-520 boombox as standby should there be a problem. Thank you for posting video.

In 1984 I bought a giant piece of crap no name boombox that took about 24 batteries. Me and my friend lugged that piece of crap onto the beach in Coney Island and for the first time girls on the beach were checking me out. We were laying down with two girls, and they took a swim but by the time they got back I was making out with a girl that was sitting behind me. The radio fell apart after a few weeks and no woman noticed me ever again. This is s true story.
