How to be fast at Snetterton Assetto Corsa Competizione - Track Guide

- Maybe I’m always being a bit harsh when it comes to Snetterton. I had always assumed it was a track that was universally believed to be less enjoyable than many of its British counterparts. However, having spoken to a few racing friends, I was surprised to hear that quite a few people really enjoy driving here.
Located in Norfolk, this venue has undergone major changes in the past few decades to utilize more of the space available at the venue. What we have now is a long, twisty, technical racetrack with some infamously tough braking zones and corners that leave many scratching their heads…. Including me! I think the reason that I’ve never loved the place is because in all honesty, I’ve always struggled to race well here. Maybe it’s jealousy? Frustration? I’m not sure… But anyway. After plugging away and listening to the advice of those who have Snetterton nailed, I’ve managed to put together a decent lap in order to help you guys try and find that lap time as well.
Here are some targets I’ve set:
Pro : 1:44.50
Pro/Am : 1:48.50
Am : 1:52.00
My Laptime : 1:45.00
Whilst you fire your car around this place, make sure you take some time out to visit the scary tree. Maybe Snetterton really does have a lot of character…

Great info and thanks for the eduction. My best was 1:53 and felt I was doing work. LFM changed their license circuit so this is my enemy right now, hopefully it work make me lose sleep.

Same mate, i cant get around this track, my best is now 1:51 and cant manage to hit this fkn 1:50 average for LFM license lol

Nice guide but going to need that hud to see how you brake.
First time going round it, managed a 1:48.5. Some tricky corners on this one, gonna have to put in some practice if I want any sort of consistency. Saying that, happy to hit the pro-am time right off the bat, plenty of time that I know how to find before my next league race. Shoutout to FRL, great league, very good community.

Amazing guide! But you may want to note that the inside curb of Oggies’ track limits are a bit more strict now. That is at least with the track competence. This track was a challenge though, and I am happy to have had it be my last track to earn all 3 stars at!
Snetterton seems to be a marmite track, personally I'm not a fan of this track at all. Racing on it seems near impossible to overtake. - Rwaggy

The previous Snetterton layout (like the current 200) is superior imo 😁

I'm attempting to grab my LFM license on this one. 1:50.366 is the top time allowed and I am riding the struggle bus so hard here. The default agressive 720 setup, i keep losing the rear end. The safe one seems best but man it's easy to get invalid laps here. I've had one 1:49.7 but no idea how to replicate it. Hope this guide helps!
Same here mate, tried the track first time yesterday with aim to grab a LFM license for the season ahead. Managed to get 1:50:2 once. I like his videos, it helped me to get decent lap times on other tracks in the past. Jest keep grinding mate :)
@@CB_883 it took me 5 days of practice but I snagged it out of the blue. For me it was all about those darn chicanes and the first hairpin. Now I’ve completed all my 10 rookie races and am off to the fun stuff :) keep at it!
I am there too 🙄 I can’t go below the 105%. But I hope everyday practice will pay out…

A question: did you use the stock setup (aggressive) or made one of your own? Anyway the final part of the track is very tricky and I found the car quite light on the rear.
Hello! In this video I believe I used a slightly adapted version on the aggressive preset? It’s hard to remember as it was back when the DLC was first released, but there will have been a few changes to make it a bit quicker 😊
Got a league race tomorrow and its the single track i dont have any track medals on. 90 Minutes of suffering incoming haha

@@TraxionGG Best time so far 1:48.450 but yeah i've lost several laps where i was over a second up and then lost it in the last corner or something silly like that.

It had been dead for decades, it was only the Ivy keeping it up so it was inevitable unfortunately. It was definitely an iconic landmark, I think the red phone box opposite the pits on the finish straight is quite iconic too. Yes, I'm a local btw 😊

I really enjoy your track guides but i think your laptimes are a little bit misleading in the sense that it should be a 4th category named "Aliens"
So for instance in this particular track the correct laptimes that you usually find on online lobbies should be as follows:
ALIENS - 1:44.5
PRO - 1:45.8
PRO-AM - 1:47.7
AM - 1:49.5
Your guides are really well put together, but I have to say, I find their usefulness to be very limited when you leave out the input and speed widgets.
These are quite old now and since then we're implementing these for all future videos.
