I cannot go through a single day in my life without music... it`s our deepest connection to the universe! And you get possessed by a trick like this the very second that you hear it for the first time.... but composing one??? Well, that must be a whole other story... Inventing all the parts, rearranging and putting the pieces together... so by the time it`s finished it`s just a sum, a total of known componenst... a composer can never get that "first time possession" that we all get.... His greatest gift is also his curse! Needed to take that off my chest, breathtaking composition!
Very insightful comments. It's an enjoyable, cathartic experience making the music but but there is a sense of mental exhaustion for the composer after completing the 90 minutes of music cues for the game.
I am glad you like the music as much as I enjoyed making it.
This would be great as the background loop Halloween night.

Bro. You are an absolute musical genius and that is coming from a very picky person. However, I need something more and I believe it's something many people want even though they don't know it: Extended versions of your music, especially all the battle music, but with the narrator quotes mixed in like during actual combat. I'm not sure why there is little to none of this available, but I can think of no one more qualified to provide this than yourself. I wouldn't be surprised if you are too busy, but if you could manage to create this or maybe inspire someone else to do so, then I and many others can listen to it all day and be inspired and motivated to change the world just as you have...
In any case, I want to personally thank you for the powerful positive impact and inspiration you have had upon myself and I'm sure many others. If you are interested I would be thrilled to provide you advanced copies or perhaps development builds of the games I am working on when the time is right, and hopefully some day soon when I am filthy rich from said games we will be able to work together.

Hey Stuart why does the later half of the CoM songs are never heard in game ?
I think they're there if the intensity is at max. The game assembles the stems as the intensity ramps up and what you hear here is all the stems at normal level then max level. We felt it was an elegant system and we're happy with it.
@@StuartChatwood Yes I noticed that in the early wave the music is much more calm with some instruments missing and gradually goes up in intensity as we progress through the waves. I played well after 1K enemies defeated but never once heard the later half of each CoM songs, it's a shame because they are absolutely fantastic you really did an amazing job on them.

Ok I know this comment is a bit late and random but what happens to the people affected by the comet a.k.a the husks are they still part of the THING? Are they still alive? Or have they been integrated to the comet’s maddening form ? Is the THING being threatened by the comet? And if that’s the case why why would the THING let Wayne june I mean the Ancestor from summoning the comet in the first Place? And finally is the THING and the comet a.k.a the sleeper going to fight each other? And if that’s the case who will come out on top? But the victor might already be clear in endless mode you can Find the darkest dungeon which means the sleeper somehow managed to conquer the darkest dungeon and its inhabbitants does that mean the world will not be Doomed by the THING maturing and breaking out of it’s shell but will be doomed by the comet’s maddening light ....... woah that was one heck of a rabbit hole I really went deep this time well no one’s gonna read this anyway But that said stuart if your reading this your music is the best I have ever heard in a video game heck it is the best music I have and will ever listen to

Thing and Comet is eldritch horrors with different tasks so they definitely would fight each other, but Ancestor sealed Comet so it can't expand beyond of barrier. Only Thing from the Stars, somehow, able to bypass barrier and kill any living forms outside and expand it powers.
Are you going to do the music for the sequel?

So, may I ask why the song has this title? What exactly does the chloroplast of green algae have to do with getting horrifically murdered?
Okay so, two years late but...
The songs have a theme of cells and evolution. Cosmarium reproduce asexually, for example. Mitochondria (Dark Mitochondria) are the "powerhouse of the cell). Senescence is the showing of age, such as getting elderly, etc. And the main song, "All Things Must Come".
I think the theme is that, well, biology is catching up. The husks are transformed in the game by the almost plague-like crystals.
My interpretation is that the heroes are raging against a sentient, living thing. Hence the names based around biology, alongside "All Things Must Come", representing the end
Also, Cosmarium sounds like Cosmic. Space meteor crystals, yk
