Hi there! In the written pattern at 30:43, it says rounds 4-6 are one sc around but in your verbal explanation at 31:39, you say its sc around for rounds 4-7, can you please clarify? I am making this for my boyfriend for our anniversary and I want him to be perfect!

Turtles are never a problem, the only problem would that people dont have a separate room full of crochet turtles
Do you only crochet into the front loop??
With amigurumi, yes, I think it looks more “bubbly” and hides the hopes a bit better but you don’t have to.

What size is the finished product?
i keep trying this pattern, but can’t get more than halfway thru the shell. every time i try, it becomes a pointy top rather than a nice dome shape like yours.
What size hook are you using and what size yarn?
