I like Thurman, and noticed he changed his game up for the Danny Garcia fight because he came in with the mentality of boxing. Spence is simply the king of fundamentals, only fighter from this generation i’ve seen get his jab off from the word go, and it never stops, this allows him to be ahead of the pace with everything from settling in, finding his range, rhythm and unsettling his opponents rhythm. Also puts him ahead on scorecards which puts opponents under pressure to have to take more risks, up their work rate and tire out faster, meanwhile he is just steadily moving along and breaking them down. you hear so many trainers screaming at their fighters from ringside to work from behind the jab, watching Spence really makes you understand and appreciate the importance of this fundamental much more

I just don't think people understand how good Errol Spence, Jr. is. Lamont Peterson displayed masterful boxing defense and offense and it just did not matter. Most of Errol's shots were blocked and the damage to Peterson's face is outrageous. When Peterson looks at the doctor with that face and say's "What?", I nearly died. You have to respect the heart of a champion. But Spence is that dude! #stapseason

Been watching a lot of Spence fights and it's really interesting how he preserves punching power even at late rounds. He has a natural ability to just throw 70-80% level of power punch steadily which makes it brutal for opponents going to 2nd half (unless you have an iron body like Porter). It's not like a lightning punch of Zeus like Wilder but a steady brutal pace of properly leveraged punches at the right form and distance.

I think the most frightening thing about Spence is that for all his offensive and technical abilities, he has an iron solid chin. In his desperation, Peterson caught him with some really good hooks but the dude remained unfazed and focused, that's disheartening.

His defense is elite. Because he’s so aggressive he takes more leather but when you look closer when he’s not blocking the punch he’s either rolling away only getting caught with the very end of the fist or he’s moving in smothering the power. He’s never taking the full force of the punch. Same thing happened in the Brook fight. Kell was touching him with punches but Errol showed almost no damage afterward.
Errol was damn near flawless. Look at how he adapts to his opponent. Slow against Peterson (knew he wouldnt tire). He came out with pressure against Brook, because his stamina is subpar. Great IQ. Superb IQ.

But if you go to his record which is public on Google, it will show you that Crawford hasn't fought alot of elite guys. Gamboa and Ricky Burns were the only 2 fights that are worth mentioning, Jeff Horn never gets that bogus win over Pacquiao if he wasn't in Australia. Jeff Horn is a complete bum and that's not Crawford's fault but Horn wouldn't beat any top 15 guys. Errol Spence has had to take what he could get and fights his mandatories with no problem and has successfully defended his belt 3 times. Spence has more notable opponents on his record. Far as skill Crawford switches stances and has good footwork, he is fast and he can be a problem at 135-140lbs. But he won't have the same power and we don't know how he will be able to take shots from real welterweights. Crawford doesn't have 1 punch knockout power, but he is skilled. Errol Spence is a southpaw and has one of the best jabs, he has crisp counter's, good defense and footwork. Sharp 1,2 then comes back with a right hook, Spence always has good cardio, Spence mixes up his tempo and his speed and power by throwing jabs to the body then straight left to the head, he jabs to the head and throws straight left's to the body mixing up his skills. Errol Spence is the best body puncher in boxing. But the biggest separation between the two is Spence's experience and his power. Spence would knockout Crawford, Keith Thurman joined witness protection to duck Spence.

But if you go to his record which is public on Google, it will show you that Crawford hasn't fought alot of elite guys. Gamboa and Ricky Burns were the only 2 fights that are worth mentioning, Jeff Horn never gets that bogus win over Pacquiao if he wasn't in Australia. Jeff Horn is a complete bum and that's not Crawford's fault but Horn wouldn't beat any top 15 guys. Crawford has to prove himself at 147lbs because he has only 1 fight at Welterweight and he needs to defend the belt at least 2-3 times and I will give him that notoriety. Errol Spence has always fought at 147lbs and Errol Spence made it to the Olympics and won a medal. Errol Spence has all of his pro fights at Welterweight and it is hard for him to get fights with the top guys. Errol Spence has had to take what he could get and fights his mandatories with no problem and has successfully defended his belt 3 times. Spence has more notable opponents on his record. Far as skill Crawford switches stances and has good footwork, he is fast and he can be a problem at 135-140lbs. But he won't have the same power and we don't know how he will be able to take shots from real welterweights. Crawford doesn't have 1 punch knockout power, but he is skilled. Errol Spence is a southpaw and has one of the best jabs, he has crisp counter's, good defense and footwork. Sharp 1,2 then comes back with a right hook, Spence always has good cardio, Spence mixes up his tempo and his speed and power by throwing jabs to the body then straight left to the head, he jabs to the head and throws straight left's to the body mixing up his skills. Errol Spence is the best body puncher in boxing. But the biggest separation between the two is Spence's experience and his power. Spence would knockout Crawford, Keith Thurman joined witness protection to duck Spence.
