In a world that is unsettled and scary you are a bastion of hope and calm. Your channel is so refreshing. I wish you could do a boot camp to help 90% of the family boogers who are doing it all wrong. Bless you and your wonderful family. Each one will change the world. Maybe just their little corner of it, but the world is better for your being it.

Spreading Gods word through her actions of a good Christian! How Showing people how to love others and involve children in doing/learning how to do everyday chores to help the adults of the family so we all can have more family time together. Instead of the parents doing all of the daily chores of a household leaving little free time ( for the adults to have) for the children to enjoy. Some of the Amish ‘old order’ are so worthy in todays society.
God bless you and your family Ruth Ann

I find this channel absolutely delightful. While the likelihood of me ever actually making my own cheese or butter is slim to none, I watch every single episode because she is delightful to watch no matter what she is whipping up in her kitchen. And I've saved a multitude of her recipes for my own personal use as well. One of the best CZcams channels in my opinion.

My Saturday morning treat...watching Ruthann create something wonderful! I don't plan on becoming a cheese-maker, as we do not have access to extra milk at this point. But...I absolutely love your teaching along the way! I bought some fresh butter over a year ago, and I thought it had gone "bad" and threw some of it out; when you said it could still be used for baking, I had a thump-my-head moment...of course...that makes so much sense! Also your explanation of the liquid from the butter needing to culture was super informative; I've always wondered about that and to my knowledge no one has ever explained it as you did! Thank you for showing us your garage...you are so right to count us as friends! Blessings, Marie

What an awesome response…. I loved your “thumping my head” comment because I can
S-o-o-o relate to it 😅….as I become older my “wiser” moments seem to be a
s-l-o-w-e-r moment 💁‍♀️….but like you I so enjoy Ruthann’s explanations because they make much more sense! The younger seem to speak a different slang type that, not to be rude mind you, but I don’t always grasp their meaning…..thank goodness I have younger family members who can ‘translate’ for me 😉….👍

You don't HAVE to use raw milk to make cheese. If you add calcium chloride to store bought milk you can use that instead. I thought it would be hard to do but keep in mind cavemen made cheese first.

I felt compelled to comment again - I don’t have friends or family so I enjoy watching your videos. I resonated with your last video of missing your community because you all did the same things. I wish I had others I could spend time with canning and gardening. I want to thank you again for this cheddar video. I’m self taught for everything and my cow calved last June. I’ve been wanting to dive into hard cheeses since then but didn’t have anyone teach me so well as you did here. I got the courage to finally and made my first wheel right after this and have made about 13-14 now. All because of you! So thank you, friend. ❤

I want to try farmhouse cheddar next with our goat milk. The thermostat for the fridge is the most genius thing ever! I have one for our lizard for his ceramic heater in the winter. It never occurred to me to use one for a cheese cave. Bravo!

I loved learning everything! Thankyou! My dad would try to make cheeses as a child growing up. 8 Kids and mom and dad. We had ONE cow and he milked moning and night for years. Our family did well on the 2 gallons a day we would get. Mom didn't (apparently) understand we could have had REAL whipped cream as she always purchased the fake stuff!

Oh golly, you are such an American treasure, and such a beautiful example of graceful womanhood. TY for teaching us, so many good home recepies, and mostly, how to live a full life in Gods grace and mercies. You give this old ailing sister hope in the day-to-day. I pray Gods very best for you and all the lovies, (human and otherwise), which God has granted you. ☺️🙌🌼💕

Wow u do so much in one day than most of us,RuthAnn. I remember watching my grandparents who owned a dairy ranch, and all the work they did, farming, cattle, and dairy. I would own steers for beef,so much easier in the long run, dairy cattle not so much. Your children have learned so much and will continue.

I enjoy watching your videos. Making aged cheeses looks easier than I thought it would be as long as you watch your temperatures but very time-consuming. It also seems like one of those things that you learn how it's supposed to look and feel by experience. Your cheese looks lovely. I watched the video about making mozzarella too, the pulling of the cheese was fascinating.

Hi Ruthann! I love your channel and learn much from you. Thank you for sharing your wealth of knowledge with us. You're so positive and inspiring to many.
I watched one of your videos that criticized your grammar. I was very disappointed in this statement and wish those comments wouldn't be allowed to be shared. We don't watch you for your grammar but for your abundant and pleasantly given knowledge that your lovingly share with us. Please don't let those that feel the need to criticize get to you.
Again, thank you for blessing us! Sending much love and hugs,
    Gracie, (Iowa transplat in Missouri)
