    I like the sound of Cort MH and the Yamaha.

    So what did you guys think? What's your favourite, if there is one or more?

    Thought the Cort Earth 80 sounded best which make me hopeful because i ordered a Cort Earth 100 two days ago. I'm surprised that the Yamaha sounded so thin when strummed. It was good fingerpicked though.

      Thank you for your thoughts! Yes, the Cort Earth 80 sounds great, more like a Martin. On the Yamaha I had thiner gauge 11s and brass bridge pins. Maybe that's one reason, plus this Yamaha has unscaloped bracing.

      @@77guitarts22 Yes, the Yamaha fg800 series are scalloped compared to yours. I've been hunting an affordable dreadnought for a while and it's not easy when you have to order online. In the end I choosed the Cort over a Yamaha fg820 in hope it would somewhat resemble a Martin.

      @@jonasnorstrom7346 Please come back with your experience with the Cort E 100 when you get it. The B&S are different as this 80 mimics Rosewood, and the 100 has Mahogany B&S. Anyway, please let us know how is your guitar.

      @@77guitarts22 I recieved it today. I've only played it a short time but I can tell right away it is a very good guitar. The setup was great and tone was what I've been looking for since I tried a inspired by Gibson Epiphone Hummingbird. This Cort comes close. This fall I have bought and sent back a Takamine gd20 and a Fender cd-140sce. The Cort is much better. The Fender was an absolute joke and the Takamine was just ok.

      Hi, thanks for stopping by! I'm not sure if I understand correctly but are you asking why is my Cort Earth 70 MH different? They are probably variations of this Guitar in different parts of the world. But I also have improved the Guitar with some different tunners, locking tunners that I bought separately and replaced the stock ones. And I also added a preamp to plug-in.

    Tell me, is the thickness of the top deck on the Earth 80 model more than on the Earth 70 model or not? What are the other differences between these models?

    • @77guitarts22
      @77guitarts22  Před 2 lety

      Well I can only tell you on the Earth 70, it's pretty standard 3.6 mm, I don't have the E 80 anymore to measure. But on these two ones, the differences are:
      * 70 Mahogany Top vs 80 Spruce Top. This is probably the most important difference.
      * 70 Mahogany B&S vs 80 EvoRose - a Composite material similar to Rosewood.
      * 70 Open Pore finish vs 80 Glossy finish.
      The sound is more influenced by the bracing of the top than the thickness of the top. I guess they both have similar thicknesses.
      Eart 70 MH is All Mahogany in my case ( there is a version of 70 with Spruce Top)

    Cort earth 70, 80, 100, which one would you recommend?

    • @77guitarts22
      @77guitarts22  Před rokem

      The 80 sounds so much like a Spruce/ Rosewood combination. So for the price I would recommend it. Now it also depends on your preferences. If you like a warmer sound go for the 70...

    Thanks for including us! Next time, you should try a Walden from our reawakening with the new low-mass bracing and reinforced neck. Sounding better than ever :) - the current model most similar to the guitar in your video is perhaps this one: czcams.com/video/iVrn-5vAcdo/video.html

      Welcome! Thanks for watching, commenting and subscribing! I'm a big fan of Walden Guitars! I have a Baritone also from you, and it's great playing and sounding. For sure I love your fiber-glass reinforcement on the necks, that has proven to keep the neck really straight since 2012 until now, at least on this one presented here. I will definitely want to check out your new low-mass bracing on the new models. Hope to get in a store that has them.
