I can find my way around Tampere a bit, even though I've only been to this beautiful city for a few days in my life. I also know from which direction the first shot in this film was made. I saw a real rabbit there - he ate Finnish herbs.

I appreciate your praise for my films, but in return I want to praise your films too. Only through these films does Tampere become a unity in my head. In the few days that I visited Tampere, I saw one or the other street. There are still many loopholes that your films will fill. The artists you show are also important to me - music as well as painting and the other art movements. I can't see all of that in Tampere in 4 days. That's why I'm happy about every film you send me. The next sentence has probably haunted me all my life:
I fell in love with a Finnish woman in 1971 who I would have liked to have married, but we were too young. I had a strict family and there I met a Finnish angel near Tampere. My questions afterwards were always: "Are all Finns like Marja or was she an exception?" And "How do Finns compare to Germans?"
I can only answer this question if I were a Finn. But maybe I can get closer to these nice Finns.
It's like a mosaic that will never be completely complete, but slowly I see a picture with a little distance from the mosaic.
