- This custom home build was a labour of love for the owners. After living in the original house for five years while planning their ideal home for entertaining, they demolished the structure and worked with NOVERO Homes to make the two-story 10,000 square-foot home a reality.
This new residence embraces an open, airy style and features a formal dining room with glass wine cellar wall, extensive kitchen, attached in-law suite (not shown in this video), and expansive outdoor entertaining space-among other highlights.
The home's modern minimalist design embraces clean lines, neutral colours, natural light, and simplicity. The largely black, white, and grey palette is enhanced by earth-toned accents. A range of textures and materials like concrete, brick, and wood, bring warmth, visual interest, and richness throughout the home.

This house is great, but a massive shout out to the production team. This is how to shoot a house tour. We don't need a narrative; we need all angles, day/night cycle, and a cadence that doesn't bore. High quality all around from the design, construction, and cinematography.

Stunningly beautiful home. The home isn't for sale but the specs, square footage, estimated cost and a guided tour by a presenter would have improved this presentation.

Beautiful house -- BUT -- I don't think having strings of lights hanging over the pool is a good idea . Possible hazard if line breaks and someone is in the pool. Just saying - things happen .!!!

Warm and inviting? Lol cold, hard surfaces. No color. More blacktop than a Walmart parking lot. Felt more like an office than a home.
Looks stunning ,would like a proper walk round and room sizes etc front exterior bit dark for me but I’m sure , ca n be charged , kitchen , wow the outdoor patio area , think you’ll be spending all day at this spot

house is very nice, I particularly like the dark cladding on the outside. but why so much tarmac around it!? It looks like some 3/4 of the plot is paved and the little space left is simply neatly cut grass - very unimaginative, and not vey environmentally conscious

That is the only way they could afford a house this size. Most of house cost resides with the land, less so the structure.

Wow! This custom built home in Langley, BC looks truly stunning! I love the open-concept design and modern touches. It's clear that the architects put a lot of thought into this build - attention to detail is key when it comes to these projects! Impressive work!

I disagree, the architect was probably the same person who built it, and is probably the same person who lives in it.
Just look at the view at 3:52......OMG, that is so bad! A vast space, not much architectural detail and a giant blank brick wall on one side!

Being that there are no credits for it in the description, it most likely came from an audio file on a video creators platform. They pay monthly fees to have access to generic sound/music files.

Hi John - The video shows the main bedroom & bathroom on the main floor. We did not photograph the kids' bedrooms upstairs. If you go to our website, you'll see "Langley In-Laws Suite" for photos of the in-laws suite in one wing of the house.

Beautiful home but the front and back yard are so out of touch for the location. Idk I feel like this modern full concrete look is so boring and could’ve been much more creative to match the area.

What’s the lot size? Looking to build a similar house in South Surrey.

Only thing is location. It appears to be in the middle of no where, surround by middle to lower teir houses. A house like this would fit better in a high-end community.
But I'm still curious, who buys/builds places like this in locations like this? No working person could consider this, it is too far from the city, and too big/expensive to be a rural house. Is this where some business owner would retire?
Nope.
Houses are expensive mostly because of the land, the building itself is relatively cheap.
My guess is the house was built by an owner who was in the industry, so the house itself was relatively cheap, plus cheap land.
In the end it will be worth approximately what the surrounding houses are worth, which is probably surprising modest.
This is absurdity to see the scale of this house with the surrounding homes in the neighborhood... sexy interior and exterior.. well the front is cold with all of that black asphalt and needs a more natural landscape.

Great. Now build this home in 1/4 the size. Because that’s ridiculously large. Put in the same finishes, the same core amenities, but just dial down the footprint, so people can actually afford the damn thing.
It probably does not cost as much as you might think.

Thank you! It's in Langley, BC, which is southeast of Vancouver and just north of the Washington border.
Out in the middle of nowhere, that is why the lot sizes are so large.
The landscaping leaves a lot to be desired.

It would if it had been designed properly, but this is probably a builder/owner designer who is more interested in a grandiose statement than things like taste, flow and functionality.
