    Great posting. Concise and very helpful. Congratulations on a successful installation.

    Good job. We found with our bus that we needed to fit a simple on off valve to the breather line as when driving off after filling, centrifugal force would push water out when we cornered. we would lose quite a few litres that way. Just a thought. Glen and Di.

      Did you have your breather tube looped up higher than the tank like mine?

      Yeah out of top of tank but not looped higher than our tank. Maybe that is where i went wrong. Ah well, into Bunnings Gympie tomorrow for more tube. Cheers D

    You must be nearly ready to hit the road properly now :)

      Bus is almost finished and is pretty much at the point where I can travel in it, but it will be a while before I can hit the road full time. Need to build up my independent income as I currently can't afford to leave my day job, and I also need to do a lot of work with Pepper before she can travel with me. But I am slowly getting there!

    Nice👍 it all seemed a bit it confusing to start with but by the end it all made sense and worked. Where do you source your information on the plumbing?

      I watch a ton of bus and van conversion videos on CZcams to see what works for other people and what doesn't. I also belong to quite a few different bus groups on Facebook which are fantastic for asking questions and getting ideas.

    How do you stop creapy crawlies from crawling up through your breather hoses?

    • @AGirlADogandABus
      @AGirlADogandABus  Před 5 měsíci +2

      Interesting question. I've never heard of anyone having problems with this, but you could just cover the end with a bit of stocking or fine mesh.

    Thank you for sharing this ☺ Did you buy your hose/fittings etc in a bundle? I just don't know where to start with what I need 😐

    • @AGirlADogandABus
      @AGirlADogandABus  Před 8 měsíci +2

      Not in a bundle as such no. Some of them I bought online and some I got from Bunnings. I sat down and drew diagrams of all the things I had to connect for the plumbing, like taps and pump etc and then I looked at each connection individually and worked out what fittings I would need to get. So I had a big list of all the bits I needed when I went shopping.

    Great explanation of the steps you took for your water system. I learned a lot from this and feel a bit more comfortable to give mine a go when I get to that point. Also, I would like to say that I really enjoy your videos. Even though terminology and products are a bit different from where I live, I am adapting 😆 and finding the info you provide immensely helpful. Thank you for taking the time and effort to film your progress. -@Trixie.the.Skoolie

    you know that fill that you have behind the wheel well, won't it collect dirt so when you plug in a hose, you are also taking in the dirt that flew up into the hose? I would try to put something over the end or a ziplock bag or something to keep it clean.

    • @AGirlADogandABus
      @AGirlADogandABus  Před 7 měsíci +1

      Yes I will be getting a cap to put on it when not in use

    Great video. Where did you get the fitting that goes between the water pump and accumulator? Been looking for the same.

  • @jl4775
    @jl4775 Před 9 měsíci

    My only concern would be that your fresh water fill connection is exposed to dirt and water thrown up by the wheels. Maybe cover with a waterproof bag or cap off with a blanked off connection, alternatively connection to a dedicated fill point in the body? Just my two penn'orth.

    • @AGirlADogandABus
      @AGirlADogandABus  Před 9 měsíci

      Good point yes, I was thinking of getting an end cap to block the opening when I'm not using it.

    • @jl4775
      @jl4775 Před 9 měsíci

      @@AGirlADogandABus A proper end cap from the connection manufacturer would probably be best but you could fabricate one from a standard connector blanked off with a rubber disc where the hose normally fastens in. Just my thoughts, best wishes from the isle of Man. John

    • @AGirlADogandABus
      @AGirlADogandABus  Před 9 měsíci

      @jl4775 ooh the disc is a good idea. If I can't get an actual cap fitting I could just insert a rubber disc inside the end of the hose connector that I can screw off easily. 👍

    • @jl4775
      @jl4775 Před 9 měsíci +1

      @@AGirlADogandABus Using the rubber disc you would also have a spare connector for emergencies coz they don't last forever.

    So what about sink smell you don’t have s trap under sink is there something else

    • @AGirlADogandABus
      @AGirlADogandABus  Před 9 měsíci

      I used Hepvo valves under both of my sinks which act like s traps but take up way less space and don't rely on water sitting in them to work. (water can be pushed out of a normal u bend trap when driving). I showed these in my video where I did the grey water plumbing:
