DJ.J., honestly words cannot exactly express how I'm feeling inside listening to the tracks in this collection of "OLD SCHOOL NAIJA REGGAE" and it's been like this counting day 2 now, 3rd Jan. 2024!
Nostalgia floods me with those cherished old days in the barracks! I wish that some how one can turn back the hands of time to that era when "music was alive" and inspirational and things generally were thriving; there was such love and respect for fellow citizens irrespective of differences in tribal and religious backgrounds; respect for the sanctity of life!!!
Thank you sir for bringing me back memories of those cherished days!!!!
You are welcome
Thanks for this👍i love it
You are welcome
Wow. May I ask which barracks? I also grew up in the barracks too, be4 moving to the U.S.
Bros I can't just really thank you right now. O man you are Good. Back dem when music is the happiness of soul. God bless 🙏 you DJ Johnson. I'm missing Nigeria. ASW..

😢tears coming down my cheeks as l just stumbled upon this old skul wonderful mix by DJ Johnson 😢❤🎉
Thank you brother
Nice selection....when the world was young..
Sincere appreciation to this beautiful collection. I was born in mid 80s and grew up listening to Naija Reggae of that era.
Listening to this songs in 2023, nostalgia kicks in and I can only but imagine the good olds days of our great country Nigeria....times when men and women would proudly sing in their native dialects without the fear of intimidation of segregation, times when it was honourable to write a whole song dedicated to the Nigerian national anthem, times when men were proud to identify as a Nigerian, rich or poor.
O gone are those times when singers wrote morally inspiring songs backed up with melodious tunes.
Mhen! I'm almost 38 at the time of posting this comment and looking back at how far things have changed or more like degenerated, it's making me feel like a dinosaur already. Unlike my late guardian (who passed on to glory at the ripe age of 90) would usually say that "old age in Nigeria is a regret", I still believe that there's hope for this great country...even in the thick of the japa era, I still see light at the end of the tunnel for this great country, my country Nigeria.
Once again, God bless the beautiful souls that sang all the old school masterpiece we had the opportunity to experience in music.
God bless you DJ Johnson for putting this together.
Thank you brother
