- Hey everyone!
In this video, we show you how we do seeding, place into Propagation, transplant to Nursery troughs and into Finishing Troughs.
It really is quite simple!
We are only showing you what works best for us, but we are really happy with what we have going on!
We are going into our 7th year with this Hydronic Lettuce house, and have learned alot.
So we would love to share our knowledge with you all!
ENJOY!
she is amazing, she talks about every point even if her husband forgot to tell. we don't see many youtube videos like this where they talk about every single point clearly. hatsoff to you mam, thankyou very much for sharing your knowledge.
Excellent video!
3 years in and I am loving the thouroughness of you guys. Thanks!!
Thanks for watching! I'm glad you enjoy!
Love your video thanks
Thanks for taking the time to explain everything! I’m glad you were able to not skip over any of the details. You’ve inspired me to give this a try!
Thanks for the video.
Thank you. It definitely helps !!
SUPER !
I’ve been following you since this morning and let me tell you, you guys are wonderful people and makes me want to convert my flower garden into vegetables garden. Why you may ask! Simply because covid has changed our lives and makes us become more sustainable on food rather than buying them when we can. Hats off to you all! Cheers.
Very interesting
You guys give so much with what you do. I sure enjoy your shares. Best to you both.
Thanks for sharing
thanks very much for what you have shown us.
Thanks for sharing your experience! Salute from Brazil!

That is so cool. Thanks for sharing.
You two are very inspiring
Thank you!
What a great summary of the process. Thanks for sharing your insights.
Thank you for this. You'd be surprised how hard it is to find a quality video like this on hydroponics. Well done.
Love this
Great stuff, I’ve learned soo much from watching your videos. I really appreciate the time you take to make these videos. Thanks
💫
Thank you so much for these excellent videos you upload every week🙏
Thank you so much... I've been looking for videos to explain hydroponic gardening for a really long time and most were 'incomplete' (only like 1-2 parts of the process or something). This was excellent and very thorough and informative.
Just got 7 acres of agriculture land in Hawaii, looking to duplicate this set up. Bravo on your process. Wow.
Love the system. Looks simple and efficient. Thanks for sharing. Keep up the good work!
Thank you ❤
Looks like you have a great system in place
Amazing✅ and thanks for sharing.
Very Nice
Thanxcxx
I get so excited growing
Looks great cheers 🍻
Simplest way to plant vegetables from seeds to harvesting them.
Thank you my friend kaidea .
Y’all are amazing for sharing this amount of information with all of us! It was sooo helpful and will definitely help me get started. The only info I missed from the video was how many minutes per day the system is running and how many times per day? Thanks in advance!
Nice review of the seed process!
Great stuff guys. Have an Ebb and grow hydroponic system going to get going in the spring.
i am gland found your channel. i am starting from starter to get experience. this video helped me alot.
Good job. 👏🏾
Miss Wayne
❤
Love your videos, watching from South Africa
Thank you ❤️
Boom 💥 information. Awesome
Its interesting! You are not using net cups! Brilliant. Makes it all the more easy!
Well done 👍🏻
I So wish I would have seen this video before I built my set up. 🤦🏽♂️
This is a Superb setup.
Ever tried a powder trickler used for ammo reloading to trickle seed in the media?! I bet you’d get rolling 10x faster with the average sized seed. Larger seeds may still be a process.
Great video thanks for posting 👍😎 it will be Interesting to see how the spinach works.
What a great video! My son bought me an idoo hydroponic system for Christmas (I live in an apartment) and I've never had a garden before. So I wondered about the whole process. It really is exciting to see how each plant germinates and watching it grow. I am growing freckled romaine lettuce.
That is awesome!
I'm going to do this in my kitchen
good work gardens look delicious
Gravity fed troughs like it...love the simplicity of your setups...from the seeding to mature plant amazing....just subscribed going to scroll through your vids....as I have had mixed results with Dutch buckets and gravity fed troughs but all good....thanks for your insight
I recently discovered your channel but your videos are amazing. I have learned so much in the last month since subscribing. Thank you and greeting from South Africa.
Well done, good job .
This is a great video showing your hydroponics setup. I'll be watching more videos. I'm doing a very small indoor hydroponics system but I'm having problems with my seed germinating and becoming very leggy and weak looking. Your germination looks very healthy. What would you suggest I do differently? Very inspiring.
I've heard that plants get "leggy" when they're not getting enough light. I'm far from experienced, so I'm not sure if this is accurate or not.
It's fun to watch- I noticed your trofts seem to be open on the left & right of each end [the lip doesn't completely hold the water in] does that mean you're constantly running nutrients through it?
Yes, there is nutrient solution running through at all times.
Wow. I've been making so many mistakes. Thanks for making a video for the same stuff I am trying to grow.
Very nice, you make it look simple... inspiring me :)
I like how you just drop the cube in the pipe without netpot or anything, and how mobile the pipes are. Would love to see the other side, where the water falls back.
Thanks for sharing!
i guess Im randomly asking but does anybody know a trick to log back into an instagram account?
I somehow lost the password. I would love any tips you can offer me!
@Howard Ronan thanks so much for your reply. I found the site thru google and im waiting for the hacking stuff atm.
Looks like it's gonna take a while so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
@Howard Ronan It did the trick and I now got access to my account again. I'm so happy:D
Thank you so much, you really help me out!
@Roy Bradley No problem =)
The Oasis company has versions of these cubes in home grower sized packages, much cheaper than rockwool. Thanks for the heads up that led me to "rootcubes".
Which version do you like best. I know nothing and am learning but want to start
Love your video! We built a greenhouse last year. I have sooo many questions like best place for supplies, the heater and the hydroponics system. I am in PA.
Wayne passed away a year ago, and I have sold the farm but will help you with anything I can.
We are in Ontario, Canada, but you can more than likely find them in your area.
@@Growwiththelaplantes Sorry for your loss. I was wondering what you were using for nursery troughs? I haven't been able to find the style you use.
@@Growwiththelaplantes I was really enjoying the video and how you two worked together...then I read this. This affected me. There aren't any words which will help but I would say them if there were. God bless you.
Great video. Learned a lot. One thing I'd really love to know is how do you stop your roots going rotten as the plant gets bigger. I seems to have things running along ok while the plant is little but as soon as it gets bigger, the leaves go all limp, and the roots covered in algae. I'm doing deep water technique right now, but recall similar problems when I tried nutrient film technique.
Are you making sure no light gets into your container? That’s what causes the algae. Also, there needs to be some air space between the nutrient solution and the bottom of the plant. You want some roots in the solution, but they also need air. Perhaps this is what is causing your root rot and algae issue.
thanks guys i hope see you soon
Amazing! It is so beautiful in there! Thank you so much for sharing this!
Have you thought about heating with compost. In case power down.
Neat- y'all are just 5 minutes from our place.
Having a farm is a dream ✨
I wonder if that shredded coconut husk they use for those Terrariums might do well as a medium to hold my seeds......
rip Wayne
hi happy to learn more from your videos .. I'm silent viewer hope to visit your farm 😁I'm amazed at your hydroponic farm and your system..
Nice work ,
And my favorite animal in the Jungle is the COUGAR by the way 😍
Another great video guys! Thank you for sharing. Can you tell me if you have a thermostat on your heat mat or is it plugged in just as is?
I have been working on hydroponics as a hobby this year and love it so much I would like to commercialize my efforts. I am currently self employed and was researching other things to do for work as the one business model is becoming too hard to maintain. Are you able to help someone with advice on getting such an endeavor started?
Thought this was a video on underwater sound.
Have y'all looked a water culture stuff from plasma water to hydrogen water to mineral water and ECT what water is most complementary to agriculture
Hi, I love how you guys do your planting system. Would love to learn your system. I can plant stuff but not how you do it.. that is so mesmerizing and so inspiring.
Where do y’all get y’all’s supplies?
Thanks so much for inspiring everyone here. And for teaching. 🙏🤗
Hi we automated such system with hydrolic rams pushing those trays from planting stage to finishing about six weeks with three colour lettuce. Ready to market.
Thanks for all the great videos. You mentioned in your beefsteak hydroponic vs. soil comparison video that you have another video showing how to "drop" the tall cucumber vines down when they get too tall for the greenhouse -- could you please let me know which one it is? I looked through the other titles and couldn't guess which one; it hasn't been in any of the ones I've seen so far. Thank you, again. They've all been really helpful so far but I was hoping to find out how best to do that before watching all the remaining ones.
Thanks for your response. I started my system and had them on a heat mat. Theyre still in the tray with the oasis because I dont have a system like you have with the half solution and trays. Im not really sure how much or how often I hand water with the half nutrient. And not sure when they can move to the system.
For planting tiny tiny seeds I dampen the tip of a pointy knife and I have the seeds dumped onto a white paper plate then touch a few seeds with the tip of the knife hold it over the hole in the planting cell and push them off with a dry card of any type paper or plastic . You don’t wast hundreds of seads
I didn't have good success with the oasis this year. Probably because I have to do mine in the house.😏 Thanks for the tip about planting split cilantro seeds!
Thank you!
Awesome video, How fantastic and amazing, If I may ask how deep are the holes in the Oasis? Thank you for all the effort and great info.
Thank you.
I'm not exactly dure how deep the wholes are but I would say maybe 1/2 " give or take.
Guys, you are great farmers. How can I get this type of nursing tray?
While the seeds on the heat may what the temperature of the mat and the air?great job guys never miss your video look forward to the next one oh is the lights on while waiting for germination? Thanks very much
My local hydro store is no longer stocking this. People stopped using it. They said the last Oasis cubes they had on the shelf crumbled. I saw a complaint on Amazon about changes to the product. I bought a little starting tray to use with coco coir.
This was great! I do have questions. Is your end product considered natural & organic? If not what would be needed to make that conversion? Is this only for leaf produce?
Hello I’m so Sorry for your loss with Wayne I just found your channel this morning I’ll definitely keep pray our your strength I’m new to gardening and found y’all videos very helpful I was wondering though where did he get the 60 hole trough from
Thank you so much ❤
You can purchase troughs through American Hydroponics.
@@Growwiththelaplantes ok thank you so much ❤️❤️
Thanks for the video. I see you don't have algae as I do. I clean as much as I can, but still have it. I have to imagine it's competing for nutrients, no?
