Ricky is learning lifetime skills. Great to see in the NEXT GENERATION!
Hard to find intelligent and energetic young men these days. Good for you young man
What a GREAT story! Way to go Ricky! You are a bright light and a wonderful role model for our young men to follow!
I grew up running a M-M G1000, it was propane with a cab, so it was pretty fancy, a lot more comfortable to run than the IH 806 we also had with no cab! That Vista is beautiful, it brings back a lot of great memories.
This a great job on this tractor. I was an employee of M-M when this tractor was originally built. The Vista was and is one of the nicest tractors we built. Unfortunately I have not had the opportunity to drive one since about 1970 or so! Congratulations Ricky.
It is so great to see Ricky Schilling taking such an enthusiastic approach to his love of restoring those old time wonderful tractors. What a fantastic young man, it's so nice to see. Thanks and have a great day!
I met Ricky at the Illinois Farm Progress show. He is down to earth and a really nice person and he knows everything about that tractor!
Them Vista's, even had padding in the seat. They were fancy machine.
Awesome! I contacted Ricky about getting one of those Delo Tractor Restoration contest calendar and he helped me get one. Outstanding young man with lots of talent. Need more youngsters like him in this country and world. Thanks and congrats, Ricky!
This a great project and I am thrilled to learn that he had won.
What a beautiful tractor. What an incredible restoration. Thanks for a great video!
Congratulations Ricky that's awesome. I hope you enjoy restoring classic tractors for the rest of your life buddy
What a beautiful tractor this young man did a wonderful job thanks for sharing
That sure is some beautiful prairie gold...Fine Job Ricky
I grew up on a dairy farm in Ontario, Canada and we had all Massey-Ferguson Tractors. I loved out MF165 tractor; but, we also had a MF1080 which was a "platform" tractor, and I liked it alot as you sat way up high just like the tractor pictured here. When you grow up on a farm you always have favourite tractors you remember the most, mine was the MF165, my Dad bought it new in 1971 when I was 10 years old, and I spent countless hours on it, that tractor really grew on me! :) This 1968 Minneapolis Moline G1000 Vista is a beautiful machine following it's restoration, a job well done!
I always wanted one of those. That's a working tractor and a work of art.
I remember watching a yellow Moline roar past in a pulling competition with the motor wide open.
That was the only time I've seen one but I won't forget that sound.
Strong tractor.
Very mature kid.
What an outstanding job on that gorgeous tractor!!
Impressive! Proud of you.
that is one heck of a tractor. I'm amazed with the view that thing has as I can only imagine how easy it must be to see the field all around you. I'd also like to acknowledge the sweet little Deere that he restored, that little thing sounds great and looks adorable.
Heck of a tractor. Love the 435 too. I grew up on a 430
Outstanding!
You could say it was out standing in his field 😂
I grew up driving a Black Letter Vista. It was an easy driving powerhouse. I wish I had one now.
Great job! ❤ I'm 67, and I have the G 6 Moline that I Drove when I was a kid.
People! We need more kids an young adults to do this! Preserve our past for the future. Why would anyone take a peace of history and scrap it for an ounce of what it's worth ... Excellent job Ricky!!!! Hope the best for you sir.
Very nice job on the restoration. It is always a good feeling to see a younger person who has "The Knack."
Ricky....Awesome Story....Great seeing the yellow paint come through...1600 Hours plus, WOW...Bright Days Ahead...THX.
That is absolutely fantastic! It’ll be interesting to see where that young man goes in life. That’s awesome!
Nice G 1000! And the FFA is in the mix? Perfect.
Incredible. Good family. Good people

Thanks for another great video. It was interesting and enjoyable.
Congratulations to Ricky for being a two time champion. He put a lot of hard work and hours into both tractors.
Well done Ricky.
The Minneapolis Moline is one beautiful tractor. Wow.
Thanks for everything.
The Iowa Farm Boy.

Outstanding job!! BK
That is a wonderfully practical and very beautiful machine! And congratulations young man!
Absolutely awesome work!! Inspiring!
MINNE MO POWER 🇺🇸💪🏻🏴☠️
Impressive!
Congratulations, it looks great. I saw a MM on Northern LA on a farm running an irrigation pump. This was many years ago.
Gorgeous tractor! 💛
That 504 was a real animal.
I love my bosses 435 it’s the coolest little thing
Yall need to go to Pikeville. Equipment in PA and talk to the Angstad family they have some amazing John deere tractors.
You should also thank his mom and dad for raising a good kid
Granddad had to molines we used
And that’s not cheap
Imagine not having a side console IM LOOKING AT THE PRE 68 JD 4020s
I have a 68 4020. Never bothered me I guess. We had a loader on a 66 4020 using the dash controls to run it. Worked fine in my mind. I always thought tripping over the shift lever on the floor of the Oliver's 1800/50 years along with ih and there high low two level shifting patterns were a pain. But I guess it is all what you get used to.
Weak point on G-1000s was pinion bearing. If farmers pulled big loads at slow speeds. Bearing went out wrecking ring gear and pinion.
Mommy and Daddy must have some money. Must be nice
Is that a Cummins diesel?
What is the value of this tractor model once restored like that now?
Looks pretty similar to an A/C D21 🤷♂️
We have a G 1000 I need this kid's phone number lol
Well done young man.
Only an international is better looking, great job.
