He liked it the new way, I think he has a bunch of hats that look like that at home, and this was the cheapest one, so he wanted to try something different. It actually looked really good on him.although it’s a cheaper wool felt, so there are a couple of wrinkles in the crown
I am a short guy-about 5’6” and thin. My head is around 23 1/4. I really like the cowboy look but recognise the tall ranchers just aren’t the right look. I have worn crossovers with a teardrop but honestly like the look of the cattlemen crease and the extreme curve of the brim in certain cowboy hats. What would you recommend for a smaller cowboy hat with a smaller but curved brim and lower crown? Something that could be easily lowered as well. Thanks!
The Stetson Skyline is like a ram her with a lower crown. Wonderful hat, If you’re able to spend a lot of $,the Stetson Shasta is also a Rancher shape with a lower crown,it’s a 10X beaver, which feels very,very special. If the cattlemen creases are still too much height for you, try looking at the Stetson Pawnee, or even the Carson. everyone loves the Pawnee, it’s a smaller, easier hat to wear for a shorter person. The last two are teardrops, but they’re westerns, not crossovers. They’ll be smaller looking than the Shasta and skyline.
That is a custom made steamer, the table and steamer spout were custom designed for this shop long ago, it’s powered by a hot water heater under the table. We also use jiffy steamers sometimes
