- On the 21th of July (just one day before my 23rd birthday!) we visited a beautiful park in Zoetermeer, named Westerpark. In the netherlands.
15 Attendees joined us for this summery picnic:

Afterwards we spend some hours at a local boardgame café, it was a blast!

I’m wagging reading this :) thank you! I’m so happy to be able to host these meets and see my therian friends regulary! It’s a real vibe each time! This meet I enjoyed particulary much. As it was very dynamic yet calm :3 we just went places to picnic and play board&cardgames, playing around with eachother and having really good and interesting conversations! And later at night we all went to a macdo to eat and a boardgame café to play some more games. Then at night we had mini party at the car xD Blasting music haha. A great way to say goodbye to all. Will see them again soon :3 I’m sure of it!!

I wish I could go to one of these things. Sadly, I live in the States, so it’d be rather difficult making it over there.
wow i’ve been watching these since i was in middle school can’t believe there’s still an amazing community of therians and otherkins maybe i’ll look back into it it was an amazing coping mechanism and a wonderful spiritual journey for me to start with

This meetup was awesome! Very casual and cozy vibes and we were really lucky with the weather! It’s always great seeing the “regulars” now that I’ve attended a couple of times. Here’s hoping I can keep my streak up hahah! 💙

Hi, ummm, can u help me?, I think im a therian because when i was child i act like a animal i Said to my mom: im a Lion, but now i feel connected with a Wolf and a dog in these days i had some Forest dreams and some dreams with dogs around me, and sometimes i growl and bark to someone that makes me angry (Sorry for the english im actually braziliam)

With al the respect theranians seem like whanna be Úlfhéðnar or berskers. Like germanics actually lived like wolfs or bears for real. Including the fighting.
I understand what you see. As a Belgian person myself, living right next to Germany, I know a little bit about the berserkes. However, in that time people had to fight and endure gruesome deaths & hard times. Some might believe that exactly because of that hardship, the berserkers developed a nonhuman identity. Because the only way to feel strong in such ruthlesss battle would be if you were stronger than a weak tiny human. When one believed to be an animal or harness the power and spirit of an animal, they would be more motivated to run faster, fight stronger, take bigger risks,… this was needed back then to win battles and survive. However in nowedays society you can argue that this behaviour is no longer necesary for survival. Regardless one can argue that there, perhaps, remained some instincts that drive us to a tendency to identify with and as non-human creatures. I can assure you that therians do not play pretend, to us this is a very real feeling and it simply feels natural and true. Perhaps us therians are just a slight bit more likely to feel this instinct to identify as nonhuman creatures. It is really just one of many many theories on why we therians exactly experience therianthropy (= the experience of having animalistic behaviours, charactrisgics, instincts, identities etc)
