- With this video I would like to introduce you to a very beautiful city in Estonia. It is somewhat hidden in the forests of southern Estonia, but is the sixth largest city in the country.
Viljandi was once one of the largest trading town fortifications in the entire Baltic region. It secured the popular trade routes between Prussia in the west and Russia in the east. Today, the citadel stands in ruins at the top of the town. The fortress is surrounded by lush greenery and Lake Viljandi.
I remember my visit to Viljandi as if I had only been there yesterday. I am still impressed by the beautiful landscape, the many colorful and beautiful houses, the cozy cityscape; and of course the calm, peaceful and relaxed atmosphere. I was also lucky with the weather and was able to take my photos in the most beautiful sunshine.
As always, I tried to capture my impressions in the best possible way with my video design, editing and choice of music. I hope that I have succeeded in taking you on a magical journey to Viljandi.
I would also like to take this opportunity to thank my long-time friend and former work colleague Michael. He emigrated from Germany a few years ago and settled in Estonia, where he has built up a small but very nice camping and holiday resort called "Marika Puhkeküla". The website www.marikapuhkus.ee is still under construction. We actually wanted to spend our time together in Estonia, but he always had something to do, so he lent me his car and recommended a trip to Viljandi. I'm still grateful for that and I hope that his enthusiasm for Viljandi will spread to you.

Die schöne Landschaft drumherum, das viele Grün, die vielen bunten Häuser, kombiniert mit dem tolllen Sonnenlicht - an meinen Tag in Viljandi denke ich sehr gerne zurück. ❤️ Der Ziegelsteinturm mit dem grün-roten Dach ist übrigens der alte Wasserturm der Stadt, der heute als Aussichtsturm genutzt wird. so gut gefallen. 🥰 Als ich in Viljandi war, habe ich spontan beschlossen, nur wenige Zeitrafferaufnahmen zu machen und den Fokus auf langsame Kamerafahrten zu legen. Zusammen mit der Musik wirkt das sehr gut und passt nach meinem Empfinden auch am besten zu Viljandi. Ein so schöner Ort, ich hatte dort wirklich einen tollen Tag. ❤️ Liebe Grüße nach Wiesbaden! 🍀

@@MYGEMPICTURESOnce again, day-to-day obligations mean that I cannot see it in the premiere. The first impression of the place is that it was small, but as time goes by you realize that is not the case and it shows us a city with larger architecture and buildings. It is very colorful and has many gardens, many green areas. Apparently you started filming very early, taking advantage of the tranquility of the place and little by little we took us into the city. Very good camera movements and play between different clips, with a very good combination. Finally, a beautiful place on the banks of a beautiful river, very similar to my last video of the city of Valdivia, published exactly two months ago. In Chile it was 2 o'clock in the early afternoon, and on normal working days I also have to work during the day and can't watch videos. I look forward to you watching them later, and it's great that you give me feedback every time. 🙏🏼🥰 I personally found Vijandi very beautiful, during my visit I felt the calming and peaceful atmosphere, it was like a relaxing vacation. And because the sun was already much lower in Estonia in September, I had this beautiful sunset light for many hours, which further emphasized this beautiful atmosphere. I'm pleased that I was able to capture these impressions in my video. And you're right, the place is similar to Valdivia. Best wishes to Chile, have a great Sunday! ☀️🤗

Tallinn is also very beautiful, I was there for filming. Pärnu I don’t know yet, but I plan to visit Estonia again. In Viljandi I was flying a drone, and the sunlight was simply perfect. I guess you will like it. 🥰 Will you attend the premiere on Tuesday?

@@franko7033 Good morning, thank you for your feedback, I'm glad you enjoyed my video. I was in Viljandi in September 2023, and at that time the sun is already much lower in Estonia. I had many hours with these great light conditions. 🥰 I didn't know Viljandi before my visit either, it was my first time there. A friend of mine emigrated to Estonia and has built up a holiday resort there. During my last visit, we came up with the idea that Viljandi would be a good place for a video. And so it was, Viljandi is really beautiful and I had a great day there. Loved it. ❤️ Many greetings! 🍀

Guten Morgen, danke für Deinen Kommentar, es hat mich sehr gefreut, dass Dir nein Video gefällt. 🙏🏼😊 Der Turm ist der alte Wasserturm von Viljandi. Er wurde um 1911 aus roten Ziegelsteinen gebaut und ist 30 Meter hoch. Als Waasserturm wurde er fast 50 Jahre lang genutzt. Danach stand er lange leer und wurde dann 2001 zu einem Aussichtsturm renoviert. Ich finde ihn sehr markant und schön anzusehen, es ist gut, dass er erhalten wurde. Liebe Grüße! 🍀
