If Jesus is not doing anything since He sat down at the right hand of God, what did He mean when He said the following? “And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.” (Joh 14:13-14, NKJV) My understanding is that we are co-laboring with Him, and that He wants us to ask, but I don’t completely understand what you mean when you say that He’s not doing anything… Maybe I’m misunderstanding something here, but I really do want to understand this…

So, if I may, I’d like to fix what this man is misleading you over (even if unintentionally). Name in Greek has with it the idea of authority. When we pray, we must pray according to His authority, or will.
