Yeah. That entire album took us all by storm. Hit after hit. It was HUGE. Definitely one of the greatest debut albums ever

This album was the soundtrack to my senior year in high school -- and I grew up in Boston! It was playing everywhere... and it was fire. Rock on! 70s baby!
Awesome buddy! A little younger and Philly here, but I get what you mean about those days, I was around then as a kid in South Philadelphia and had a plethora of aunts uncles and old heads who made sure I knew what it was all about. Definitely not perfect days, But glorious ones for sure 🖖

Nothing like blasting this on the car stereo even today. Ealier this year I pulled into the school to pick up the grandkids with this album blasting the looks I got from the younger parents and teachers was priceless . My grandkids don't like coming over cause they say I play my music too loud 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. Boston still gets a ton of air play on Classic Rock stations. That riff on this song is killer.
Everybody should hear this song each morning before we all start our own grind! Don't be worrying about anything others than who you love and DO YOU. One the best songs EVER!!!!

One of the best albums that ever came out period
I was a student at the University of Massachusetts when this album hit. When we heard a band chose "Boston" as their name, our reactions was "Well, they better not suck!" They certainly didn't! We were blown away by every track.
Having survived the 1970's and the era of this music, I'm just damn happy I still have a piece of a mind.

Guitar in Hitch A Ride is rocking!
One of my favorite tracks, not just of Boston. It rocks your socks off but the message is fantastic and not corny. Hey, I was just thinking, if you haven't done any Allman Brothers, you should try Whipping Post, Dreams or Statesboro Blues of the Live from the Fillmore East album. They were an incredible band from the 70s.

Tom S. who wrote the songs was an MIT at Panasonic camera and in a corporate situation that he had to get out of due to the high volume of stress at that job. Things songs are about that journey
Tom worked for Polaroid, not Panasonic.
For many years, Boston’s debut album WAS the biggest selling debut album in history - 17 million copies! Only Guns & Roses “Appetite For Destruction” surpassed it with 18 million. “Boston” is definitely one of the best albums ever!

First I wanna say I LOVE YALL! That (sound) that y’all keep referring to is more than likely analog records. These records were recorded in analog NOT digital like today. There’s a realness and warmth to an analog recording that digital just can’t replace.

Friends , this music age was better
This was my first album I bought in 1977, love every song and still have it. My second was Judas ac/dc Dirty deeds done dirt cheap, Bon Scott is way better that Brian Johnson although I do like the groups Back in Black, still got that album too.
How about Carrie Underwood’My Temporary Home’ I think you will like it.
The intro/outro guitar parts aren't solos, they're riffs.

I hope ya'll don't think of this as white music. All of 70s rock was influenced by 60s & 50s music, from the Beatles back to Elvis, who was very heavily influenced by black gospel and southern black music from his youth in the 40s. This is American rock music, which is a blend of black, white, and every other music ever written since music began. If you can't hear Elvis AND Beethoven in Queen, well....
Hitch a Ride might be the best on the album.
Sadly Brad Delp never found his peace of mind. He took his own life March 8-9th 2009.
Yeah sadly Brad that Singer suffered from depression and probably other things committed suicide
