Pruning roses in my church's garden each summer was a delight, and the presence of the bees always made me so happy! I would hummmmm and they would buzz. Slowly and carefully I'd clip the roses away after I realized early on that they didn't like fast movements and would sting me. (Ice on stings works really well.) The nearby lavender bushes would also delight the bees (and me). I noticed over the years that the bees visiting our garden were less and less, it was heartbreaking to think that so many of them are being killed by humanities ignorance and lack of caring for them.Thank you so much for rescuing the bees and providing a new home for them!

I love sitting outside when it’s warm and watching the bees fly around from flower to flower collecting all the pollen on their little bodies and legs even though I am highly allergic to them and wasps. I just give them the respect that they deserve and sometimes they land on me and I stay still hoping that it doesn’t sting me and they usually don’t and I slowly walk closer to a flower and gently put it closer to the flower and watch it go to the flower and I then smile and watch for a few and walk away saying “enjoy your day and thank you for visiting me” I love them very much and I look forward to seeing them every year ❣️🤗❣️

Many years ago, a student brought in pictures of a swarm that was in a tree near the deck. His mom told the story that they heard all of this buzzing and saw something in the sky and ran into the house. They waited and the swarm covered the entire bush. They called a local Nature Center and left the bees alone and took a few pictures. When I saw the pictures, there had to be thousands of bee on this one bush. They bees stayed for a few hours and then took off again. It was a life time experience they will never forget and I will never forget seeing the thousands of bees on one bush. Thank you for being a bee keeper!

Birdbath title caught my attention, Nice - on a birdbath so gentle. Took a Bee Biology class at Delaware University from Dr. Dewey Caron a decade ago, best class he was great instructor. A Freind & I rescue songbirds (birds are safer then bees). Birds hit the glass skyscrapers in Newark NJ, Most that hit the skyscrapers perish on impact, or when fall to the cement pavement. TRT made a video named 'Window Strikes in the Business District' of us picking up injured Warblers. The Raptor Trust(TRT) nurses them back to health That birdbath setting was nice to watch.

Thank you for taking us on this journey... definitely could hear the bees calm down. I have a death allergy to bees... my throat seals within 3~4 minutes. However once I learned to not fear them and stay calm (keeping my epi~pen at the ready) I was and am able to work with the hives. They will always have a very special place in my heart.🐝God Bless you.💜✝️

I don't rescue them, I let them go. :) Have let many swarms hit the woods over the years. I make splits if I need any but the rest are free to be free. Seems to work out pretty well. I usually see swarms coming through every year that aren't coming from my hives. I'm happy to contribute to the wild populations. I'm going to take a little honey this year, the first I've taken in about five years. I've finally ran out, being diabetic I don't eat much anymore. Can't imagine not having the girls around though. Just happy to see them bizzy and around to talk to now and then. They're very good listeners ya know. :)

Was water in short supply - They need water like we do I guess? There's always a bit of drama with bees around. When I trimmed the basil bush back after winter in my garden they were upset about it, especially as it was in flower and they were gathering nectar from the flowers. They didn't seem to know where to go after that and then they started coming inside after a harrowing time of being chased by them a bit. They were coming to honey residues on the counter top. Lit some penny gum leaves to deter the wee critters...One has to feel for them. They work so hard making their honey and what do we do? - we either steal their honey or take away their flower stores...Poor bees 🐝🐝♥
