How to use Focus bracketing on Canon R6 & R5 camera's
Today we're looking at how to use the Focus Bracketing feature on the R6(also the same on R5).
Able to use this feature handheld and on a tripod will be a handy feature I'm sure you will agree.
I think this might be a super fun and handy feature when you're looking to get sharp pictures while shooting certain shots that cant be captured with a single photo.
The one caveat is i only works on certain lenses for these 2 bodies.

Do you have a video for the Photoshop blending/stacking?
Hi mate sorry I don’t have one but specifically on that. I’d be happy to help tho, basically import layers separately. Then align and blend under edit tab . Let me know be happy to do some screen shots on this and and other options linear gradient tool after aligning .
excellent tutorial i feel more confident on using this now for my nature macro **SUBBED** and **Thumbsup**
Cheers, i've been forcing myself each time i go out now to at least shoot one with it . i've noticed in the mark 2 just released they have added in feature that automatically blends the photos in camera so you don't have to do in photoshop anymore. So hopefully on next firmware update from @canon they will add this to the R6 and R5 cameras too.

Could you show us a sample of the manual bracketing you did ?
Hi mate the 3 photos near end of video are all using the bracketing system. the last flower shot was using it handheld hope thsi helps around 7:28 in the video
A very longwinded video which could be summed up as follows.
(1) Read the camera user manual.
(2) Set the camera to do Focus Bracketing.
(3) Press the shutter.
Perhaps when doing another video showing how to set the camera , why not rotate the camera 90 Clockwise so we can see the LCD???? Just an idea.

is there a way to set the focus in manual, then do the focus bracketing? I'm doing it in macro and sometimes it's impossible do put the AF on the right point.
Hi mate, i don't think there is , i did a test video with nice close up lens kit macro adaptor and was using the focus bracketing with that and had to use the auto focus's well. Ive found even when doing macro i added in 100 shots as my parameter to make sure it could get it all in but wasn't using all the frames and missing out a fair few. Maybe as the software progresses down the track it may get better especially as still have the only works with certain lenses issue as well. Not sure if that is part of the reason maybe some lenses just don't offer enough control for the software to take advantage ? But def understand what your saying , hopefully canon may give us a firmware update as we progress
@@34Media I found a workaround, set the oneshot af release prior to "release" priority, this will take a shot even when the camera thinks the focus is not ok.
then in the customize buttons set the shutter release button to AE lock to disable autofocus when half pressed (an use the AF-ON back button to autofocus)
with this you can, switch the lens to manual, do you focus, switch it back to AF, then trigger the focus bracketing without the camera trying to refocus
