Oh Eivor, she is a musical goddess. A shield maiden, a queen. Love her so much.
Vocal powerhouse, fantastic songwriter and just a super nice person.
I told you🙂 One of the great live performances. Astonishing voice, which has probably had some classical training given the opera-style vocalisations that so often appear in her songs. A very versatile artist whose music over the last ten years or so has spanned folk, art pop, jazz, folk rock, classical and electronica genres. The Charismatic Voice did a vocal analysis of her outdoor live folk performance of Trøllabundin. Some very interesting transitions/vocalisations in that largely solo performance and a stunning Norwegian backdrop to distract you. She also did about ten years ago a very good art pop cover of Kate Bush’s ‘Hounds of Love’ single. Again a very different presentation from ‘Falling Free’. ‘Falling…’ is the only song I know of hers that hits quite like that. But other good performances you might like to react to include ‘Eivør - True Love - Sofar Los Angeles’ (a dark theme with just her and her electric guitar) and ‘Eivør performs Gullspunnin from “í Luftini”’ (if you don’t mind her singing in her own language - Faroese).
She was classically trained in Iceland if I'm not mistaken.

I think the best next song from Eivør for you to react to would be the live outdoor performance of Tròdlabùndin (sung in her native Faroese). As a solo (for the most part) folk performance it will be outside your rock and roll wheelhouse, but will show how versatile this amazing singer is. I won’t spoil it for you by describing what she does. I will just say that I think you will be mightily impressed, just as The Charismatic Voice was.

She sings to your soul --- It doesnt even matter what language she chooses it takes you straight there -- Do Gullspunnin or Salt or Verde Min -- True Love -- gosh I could go on and on

Nice Eivør! Good now stick in that region and go to Norway where everyone is an awesome singer but Angelina Jordan of Norway is supreme and Aurora too. Kalandra awesome band and if your feeling primal check out Marua Franz of Heilung!

The thing about Eivør is, that she's almost always better, like much better, on live versions, at least on good recordings. I usually don't like live versions.
If you want to see a list of my favorite Eivør songs, I have a playlist, on my CZcams profile, called "Best of Eivør".
Almost all songs there, are very different from each other.
She also has a Kate Bush cover there (Hounds of Love), that is way better than the original.
the hounds of love music video is better that the live version. sometimes this happens, but generally spoken i'm of your opinion that she is a live beast.

I appreciate your comment, while disagreeing with it. I'm pretty sure I made my feelings known pretty effectively during the song. It's not necessarily a review, although I may go in depth on some songs more than others at the end of a reaction. We don't all do it the same. Plus, it's just how I do things. And of course I'm going to ask for subscribers. The people that like what I do will sub. If somebody chooses not to, that's ok too. I'm not for everybody but everybody is welcome. Thanks again :)
