    Thanks for everything, you can put 0:00 as a timestamp to see times on timeline. You can do this for your old videos.

    I LOVED this video! Thank you so much! I had two lists for everything and now I can get rid of a whole "Ideas" space.
    I would love to see a similar video that addresses recurring vs one-off tasks. And one that covers a "catch all" tasks list or inbox, is that something you use?

      We do not have a "catch all" Task List or inbox. This would quickly become cluttered and what we try to avoid.

I started making YT content this year and need all the process streamlining I can get! LOL.       @@LaylaPomper Yes, in a way. Instead of separating the tasks and ideas like what you did, I separated today's task into a calendar view then everyday, I will go to that view to view my daily tasks in a hourly format :) the other tasks are out of mind and sight for that one day, you know, so that I don't feel overwhelmed. :D

    I had moved all my ideas in to a different list. But love this view based on views. Everything stays in the same list. I have one called Ideas and one called Production. For now. LOL

    Hi Layla, Just a question, I just watched one of your videos about reducing statusses as much as possible even to the point of just to do and done so that you can use the check mark option. When to go with progress statusses or progress tracked in custom fields/ subtasks / checklists?

      Hey there! Just now getting caught up on comments🙈
      I reached out to the team and this is what our Community Coaches had to share:
      The purpose of using Simple Statuses is so that the status of a task can be true for all of the work or data. We recommend using 2-3 statuses to show the progression of a task. If going from "TO-DO " to "COMPLETE", seems basic and not descriptive enough, you can add a "IN PROGRESS", "WORKING", to see more information about the stages of the task.
      If you'd like additional details about tasks, we can incorporate them by using subtasks, checklist or even a Drop-Down Custom Field. The Custom Field can be used to show the stages of the task, but not interfere with other tasks that aren't relevant to that Custom Field.
      It's really your preference as to how how you want to view the stages of a task. With Subtask or Checklist you will have the option to complete the step or check off the item.
      In this (older) video, Layla is doing the opposite of what we currently recommend. To replicate what Layla is doing in the video for our current approach, it would be good to have the simple statuses and then create a separate Dropdown Custom Field that mirrors the same statuses Layla is showing. Then they can proceed as expected.

(Especially the frame with your logo around the video, and your moveable webcam video - please tell me that’s a Mac app! :)

      Mateo I can't wait to see your content come out!
      I'll be the first to admin that this setup was super basic -- the only tools involved are a Logitech webcam + Dubb + Canva (for graphic pop-ups) + and a super quick-and-dirty edit in Premiere Rush.
      I'm hoping to do a video shortly talking about how my setup has evolved in these first few months on CZcams soon! :) I've made quite a few small-but-significant improvements over time and have a few more slated.

      Mateo Baisden yes! My recording monitor isn’t the perfect ratio for CZcams, so I set the video to “Fit” in Rush (which creates black edges) and then overlay my logo by dragging the image file as an overlay! 🙂

    This is a year old. Do you still use status for the stages of a project? I created a dropdown custom field with all that in it. Can I filter out ideas in a view if I do it that way?

      Sometimes I do! But this structure does work no matter if you’re filtering out a Status OR a Custom Field.
