Btw, if you watch Sina’s version of this, she was 17 when she did it. And you’ll definitely see the difference of their skill level. Don’t get me wrong Sina’s awesome, I’m just comparing them in this particular song. And I thought Yoyoka’s is more on point and not all over the place like Sina’s. Just my humble opinion.

      She has bionic hands. 😄🥁
I think because of her impeccable technique she’s able to play relaxed therefore she doesn’t feel the strain or stress of the piece itself. I can only base that as a guitar player. The more I improve my technique, I feel like I can play a grueling piece without hand strain. So I can imagine that’s how and why Yoyoka looks so effortless.

Unlike most other young drummers or even seasoned rock drummers who seem to be fighting with the drums or trying to conquer them, Yoyoka is like a great dancer who dances "with" the drums. She doesn't fight with them, she enjoys the dance between herself and the beat. Her enjoyment is half the pleasure of watching her effortless dance. Dude - am really enjoying your Yoyoka reacts - you give great commentary! I LIKE the way you stop the video to make comments and also that you replay sections to review it. I do have three small suggestions (meant to be helpful): 1) Most of the time you were standing in front of Yoyoka and her snare. Can you center her more, or your stand off to the side? 2) her volume could have been higher. 3) Your mic seems very sensitive - we sometimes here you exhaling into the mic, or hear you banging or moving the mic (it's distracting). Just trying to help!

Just wanted to recommend a few tracks you might enjoy. Not necessarily to "react" to but to dip into the pool that is Deep Purple! 😄
    1. LAZY - it's a 7 minute song with the first 4+ minutes being an instrumental jam session. It's actually my favorite Deep Purple tune. Interestingly, it never charted in the US.
    2. HUSH - Another great track. GREAT organ solo in the last 1/3 of the song. Made it as high as Smoke on the US charts (#4)
    3. HIGHWAY STAR - Just an overall great track. Since you love Deep Purple's vocals, you'll probably enjoy this one. Another that didn't chart.
    4. SPACE TRUCKIN - Great, solid tune. The 3rd one that never charted and the ONLY one on the list that wasn't released as a single. The other 4 were but only 2 charted.
    5. WOMAN FROM TOKYO - Although you said Smoke was the only track you ever heard, you may have heard this one as it was popular about the same time.
