Never forget. The most valuable character you will pull will be the one you play. Don't fall into the trap of pulling for the meta picks and never use them afterwards.
Also don't cry if you can't do 12 floor. This is the dumbest s. you can say to somebody. This game is all about synergy and elements. Pick hero you like but don't be stupid.
Hey shark your channel is super underrated. I feel like it fills the awkward area for players who care enough about meta to do our research but don't have the luxury of time to watch theorycrafters do their more detailed nerdy excel calculation! Your recommendations seem factually based on theorycrafters' opinions but simplified enough for most of us who are often confused by TC terms. Appreciate it!
And ups to this comment! Protip to anyone posting outside insular conversations, that spelling out a term (here, "theory crafters") ahead of using initialisms/acronyms/shorthand (here, "TC") is _excellent_ as assuring readers are on-board with your discussions.
yeah fr lol, ive been playing around 3-4 months now & its so hard understanding + remembering when i hear stuff like 'oh for your substats this/that and for this character level these talents to this and that and also get them to c6!!!!!!!!!' so this entire video was a breath of non-sweaty air
@@quinoco "The karakasa obake (唐傘おばけ) are umbrellas that are typically portrayed with one eye, a long tongue protruding from an open mouth, and a single foot, generally wearing a geta." It's an umbrella, deal with it.
Your content has genuinely carried me through the game i started about a month ago and I'm AR 46 with plenty of resources and a really solid team, Thank you so much and keep making good content!!
I have Zhongli, Nahida and Raiden Shogun, all using the weapons mentioned here (Black Tassel, Mappa Mare and The Catch respectively). It's worth it to pull for them as F2P!
I'm so happy I got Zhongli on his first release before I left a few days after. I was planning to get back sometime and I loved the idea of a shield character while hearing rumors of people hating on his damage. Now that I've gotten back, I'm really happy I have him!! Especially since... Wanderer kinda needs him so he doesnt get interrupted LMAO Watching your vids also helped me survive through the game ofc lol Thankies!
Alhaitham is also very F2P friendly and a strong C0 DPS even with just average investments. His kit feels complete at C0, he works with a lot of characters, has variety of team comps, and also fun and flashy gameplay. The only issue with him is his mirror management but when you get the hang of it, he's fantastic. And even if you mess up his rotations, he's doesn't punish you that much which is also a plus. His best 4 star weapons are free which are the umbrella sword and iron sting. A lot of people use harbinger of dawn on him which is a 3 star weapon. He's also easy to build with EM being the focus. Worth every primogems spent imho.
I nearly quit the game before getting him, I was having horrible luck and was forced to use a rosaria as my main dps in wl6, after getting c0 Alhaitham I and progress through all the content even as FTP
@@aryanchauhan510 i think the sacrifice of collecting mats IS worth it. I mean, he's not for me because I can't get onboard with the whole watching stacks. But I have to admit that he is a toptier character.
Honestly, as a ftp, Yelan changed my game completely. Got her in the last banner and with her r2 fav bow she is INCREDIBLE. I can use her burst up to even 3/4 times in just one minute.
I started playing the game when Yelan appeared for the first time, never saw something related to genshin before, only like ads and promos from some youtubers, then when i installed the game i saw her, her name was very similar to my mom's name and that was the only reason i had to pull for her xD. The funniest thing about this story is that i not only won my first 50/50 with Yelan, i also got her C1 on that 10 pull so imagine my reaction when i saw her being an S tier after playing the game just a week
I am torn between her and Raiden atm because it would take me one day tops to guarentee a pull. I just cannot decide. I decided on yelan because I'm lacking in a good dps.
@@plaidhatter1674 well raiden can be support sub dps and dps but yeah yelan is more easy to build so that's a point for yelan, to have a good raiden you need a good investment, more than yelan
Prioritize Kazuha, Yelan, and Nahida. Raiden only has extra value over other good DPS characters if you don't already have Kuki at C2. Kokomi and Zhongli are great mostly for the comfort they bring. They are otherwise inefficient pulls if your goal is to secure the primogems from 36-starring spiral abyss as soon as possible.
this should be pinned also kokomi isn't always necessarily for comfort, her AoE hydro application is extremely valuable in freeze teams. That being said, freeze has been pretty iffy in recent abyss considering the amount of boss chambers, so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I would sat Raiden is still a good pick simply because you can guarantee her while there is never a guarantee on 4*s (even rate up ones) outside of those that are in the shop rotation. Raiden also just has a lot more viable team options than Kuki. Plus if you have both, you can play Rational on one side and hyperbloom on the other. As someone who ended up with c2 Childe back in 1.4 trying to get a single copy of Rosaria, don't bet on getting specific 4*s. I would probably list them in order of Nahida, Kazuha, Yelan and then Raiden. Though the order would move around based on who else you have on an account.
@@Nowaylarry idk, Raiden is more of a carry than anything. While Rational is really good, standard Sucrose national is arguably just as good: the only disadvantage being worse to play. She’s not really used in any meta team comps besides HB, Rational, and her Hypercarry team. That’s not a lot of versatility compared to the other 3, and she’s easily replaceable in two of those three.
@@stephenwu1524 Those three are her optimal teams but she is a fine second electro in most comps that would want two. I'd argue that her kit is pretty evenly split between support and carry. Also, I agree about Sucrose but you can't guarantee Sucrose since she isn't in the shop rotation.
I think Ayaka should also be in the honorable mention since she is already strong at c0 and her best 4 star weapon is the anemona kageuchi which can be crafted
She has a play style that relies on burst so other than crit, atk, you also needs er on her. Her team comp is restricted with a battery, a cc and a hydro applicator. She’s time consuming and hard to build. And for some abyss like this months abyss where enemies spawn in waves instead of all at one, her value drops. She’s just another dps. There’s alot more carries that also strong at c0.
Worst things about ayaka (tho I love her personally) are that you really want a full blizz set - you won’t be able to get that early on (you *could*, but it’s a really bad use of resin if you’re still working on two team comps f2p) the aforementioned need for a good hydro applier (NOT Barbara, preferably), and lastly, you can *really* struggle against cryo enemies. You also want another cryo as a sub dps but that role is much more flexible from what I can tell. But I thoroughly enjoy using her and she’s for sure the best on field dps I have access to.
I was honestly so bummed that I missed out on Ayaka this past banner, but after watching this and knowing Nahida is coming up, I'm stoked. I've got tons of pity stacks and missed a featured draw so I'm pretty sure I'll have her soon. 😁
As a F2P player with Shogun and Nahida, I can confirm these characters are game changers. They pair extremely well together and I have made them both part of my main team, with Xingqiu and Dendro Traveler, and it does insane damage. Of course still need another team for Spiral Abyss, but I managed to get Ayaka recently and I'm working on building up her team for the abyss too.
i followed your advice when i started in 3.3 and got raiden (also wanderer as my first 5star) i also pulled for c6 xinqui but instead got him to c5 and got both yelan and hutao. Thanks for giving me a direction because now I’m having so much fun
This is such a great concept for a video, and is executed perfectly, thank you so much! I am a low spender (occasional BP only) and having Zhongli, Kokomi, and Nahida has definitely been excellent for me.
When I saw the title my guess was Raiden, Nahida, Yelan, Kokomi, and Kazuha, but I think you're right that Zhongli is a better pick for most players/accounts.
Thank you, Sharkie! I am now at AR50 and World level 6. And yes, still managed to get by with enough resources because of your guides. Thank you. *teary eyed
Hey thanks for the great content! Started over from AR 23 after watching another one of your videos. Pulled a razor at AR 5! The game is so much easier after following your guide! Thanks!
Looking foward to Zhonli and Nahida rerun. I got most of the character I wanted now. Thx for your stream and video! It's really fun to learn from you! Much love!
I think Alhaitham also counts here since he works rly well at C0, scales on EM making the iron sting amonst the best weapons for him, and works well with a bunch of team combs, although I think he's more of a bonus since his best potential is when he has an off-field electro applicator since he's best at spread reaction playstyle, personally I usually use him with Raiden or Kuki Shinobu
He is very good. He is not here because he's an on field dps that won't bring as much overall value as someone like Nahida because he doesn't have any off field presence.
i totally agree! i am currently chasing all of these 5 characters, unfortunately, i missed yelan and prioritize ayaka. But will certainly pull for her next. I got nahida previously, yay!
Nahida made my two healers who were rotting into my strongest team. Barbara and kuki. And her team is also really, really, really easy to build cuz you don't have to care about cr/cd. She's on most broken support with Benny and kazuha.
Currently using a nahida, baizhu, yelan, raiden team and it’s my favorite team I’ve used so far so I can confirm. Killing most things with them feels incredibly easy and comfortable. Hoping to pull Kazuha soon!
it's the opposite for me, I go him on the first day during his first banner but I rarely use him nowadays, the only time I used him these past few months is on Abyss Floor 12-2 with the 3 Maguu Kenkis.
Small problem I see here is, all the characters you mention are in essence supports. My personal experience is that after I got Zhongli and switched game to easy mode, I still lacked the damage needed for the game to start being satisfying. And that only changed after I got Ayaka. So I think that while it is very good to have some strong and flexible supports, having a strong and reliable DPS is also essential. Ayaka, Ganyu, Hu Tao and Yoimiya are in my opinion uncontested up to this day. Sure you can go without them just well but so can you without Zhongli or Raiden.
There are DPS build Zhongli and I imagine different builds for other units as well. Sure, they don't hit as hard as others and obliterate mobs in a few hits, but they should still do the job with the right set-up/team combos. The DPS Zhongli build I used when I still played was Gladiator Arti + White Tassel (also a 3* weapon), for a melee attack build. Team was Changyu + Xingqui for freeze lock (the other two were not built as much). Higher end DPS builds focus more on E and Q damage
5 star DPS characters are not that important, you already have one of the best DPS characters in the game in Xiangling, and many top meta teams rely on more than high scalings on certain characters (examples being transformative reaction teams, such as hyperbloom). Ayaka freeze is easily one of the best teams in the game when it works, but against unfreezable bosses that have become more prevelant in recent abyss, Ayaka's power level drops dramatically. While very strong, Ayaka teams aren't always versatile enough to compete with strong Xiangling or hyperbloom teams. Ganyu+venti freeze is probably still the best team in the game when it works, but the problem is that it works even less than freeze does. When there are enemies light enough to be pulled by venti burst, it's almost always only for 1 chamber. When we start considering melt ganyu, it just isn't as strong as teams that don't require a 5 star limited DPS like Ganyu. Hu Tao teams are extremely strong in single target, but lower investment and much easier to play teams such as hyperbloom can rival it. It takes a very high investment Hu Tao to out damage Nahida hyperbloom. Yoimiya teams are barely competitive with hyperbloom and national variants in single target, and way worse than any meta team in AoE. Also, Raiden is not a pure support. At c0 she's already competitive with the likes of Hu Tao and Ayaka and at c2 she's arguably better. In general, 5 star DPS characters are not at all necessary, and the "hypercarry" team archetype is way too overused and usually just not that good. I'd argue that 70%-80% of the top teams being theorycrafted every day don't involve one dedicated carry at all. Kazuha, Nahida, and Yelan are simply more useful than other 5 stars, even DPS characters, because they're far more versatile and enable team compositions that are just as good (usually better) than teams revolving around a single character doing damage.
@@stephenwu1524 Since you know so much, could I ask you for some advice? Ive recently started out my account and now try to plan out characters to go for, since as a f2p you realy need to do that early in order to spend your resources wisley. I can give you more detail on my plans so far soon. This just a place holder for you to answer to not loose this comment :D
@@user-ir8er1bh4q sure! If you have a discord or something we should probably talk there since CZcams comments are kinda bad for one on one conversation.
For me the best characters for f2p is: 1) Zhongli. Unless he faces corrosion damage anyone under his shield is untouchable. He makes everything ingame 3 times easier. I pulled him threw Hp% artifacts and black tassel and he made my teams immortals. 2)Raiden.Yes her artifact domain is pain got her on her last rerun and run her as a main dps. She kills anything she gets her hands on easily. If you already have a main dps you can run her as a sub dps spamming her skill for reactions. 3)Yelan. Put enough Hp% and Er from artifacts and you have a very strong burst dps for reaction teams. Her skill is also useful in open world, makes travelling from point a to point b faster. 4)Ayaka. Put her in a freeze team and she can level anything like a nuke. Yes she might have some problem if dont have enough er, but it can be solved with a cryo battery. Put her along with Yelan/Kokomi/Xinqiu and the enemies would never get to touvh you. 5)Kazuha. 4 piece vv and enough em to swirl everyone to death he can make elemental application childs play. Any 4 piece EM sword is good enough for him so no need to dive into weapon banners. Thats my reccomendations for f2p people like me after playing for a year.
hi, can i ask for your opinion? ive been saving for quite a while and the primos are enough to pull for a character. but, im not guaranteed. my original plan was to pull for zhongli, because i have xiao and itto that ive not been using and it feels like a pity to not use them on the abyss. but ayaka took my attention, i wanted her for a while and now shes making an appearance. i also have some of her artifacts ready and also my r3 anemona kageuchi for her. i heard from a lot of people that she helps them cleared out the abyss with ease, which ive been struggling to do so. plus, i dont have any cryo dps on my account. so who do you think i should pull? btw, i also have yelan and kazuha ready for her freeze team
Aboslutely agree with this, I decided to skip raiden as I figured her rerun would be inevitable. I'd even go as far to say that Kuki Shinobu is an even BETTER pick than Kokomi, as she provides heals and excessive off field damage with hyperbloom. But as a Nahida, Zhongli owner I cant help but say my two teams would not have gotten far without them. Always remember as a newer player to pick up supports first. It may take some time, but building the backbone of your comps is absolutely essential. A 5 star carry can only do so much on their own.
The only issue with Kuki over Kokomi is that you can't guarantee Kuki. Sure you have decent odds but you could in theory never pull her once even when she is on rate up. With rate up 5*s 180 pulls is the max possible before you get them but it could be much more than that for specific 4*s (though the odds of that are low).
Great list and great analysis as always. I agree completely. It's also useful that you show good 3* and 4* weapons to use. For my mora, 5* weapons are overrated - not bad, just extremely overrated. My favorite weapons are all 4* weapons because they can work with more characters, where 5* weapons are actually pretty niche to the 5* character they launch with. SharkH3art's list is so good because those 5* characters work with 3* weapons. :)
I'm glad I have most of the characters mentioned here as they are extremely useful especially if your a player trying to 36star abyss 😁 (I still haven't got there my artifact luck ain't great haha...). Hopefully I can get Zhongli and Yelan on their next reruns as I'm saving my primos for Baizhu when he comes ❤ with dendro being out now I hope he comes soon.
The gacha was kind to me when I started playing a year ago. With the number of wins I have had under my belt thus far pulling under banners, single pulls included or ealrlies, I can skip as many banners as I need to save for what I want when I want. I was F2P when I started pulling, had only began being semi-f2p (buying a welkin and lower tier BP) 6 months ago when I was finally sure I'd stay playing for the long term. I hopefully will stay like that, with this insane luck intact until the end.
I personally really liked this video as it is going to help me a lot so thanks. I lost 50 50 in yelan banner but I guess I'm gonna save for the next must have.
This is exactly how I pull for my account- good, strong and doesn't need gacha weapons. I've finally stick to being a Raiden main and I'm now going for characters that revolves around her like Yelan my current team is Raiden, Ganyu Kazuha and Xingqiu I know it sounds dry but this team com slaps and I'm expecting to get Yelan( pls) to add her with Xingqiu
I'm super new (1.5 months give or take) Got Raiden on my 2nd 10 pull right after starting (so lucky) and managed to grab c1 Yelan this banner (The zoom zoom while exploring is so freaking nice, blew all my primos I had saved to get the extra constellation). Running Raiden/Yelan/Xingqiu/Yaoyao and just absolutely destroying content at AR50. Now I just need to figure out what the hell to do for my 2nd team in Abyss.
As someone who used iron sting kazuha for the longest time, it's actually not as bad as everyone says it is. He can generate a ton of particles pretty quickly and can keep near full burst up time on something like 130 ER. He can also cheese a lot of the updraft chests by just hopping over the updraft. His utility is absolutely worth pulling for.
@@Karma-jv3ze Yeah, my freeze team uses Ayaka, Shenhe, and kokomi. I do use the hold E on shenhe and kazuha though. They generate more particles compared to tap E at the cost of slightly longer cooldown.
completely 100% agree with your take here. most useful characters are not DPS units but support. they will support you until the end of floor 12 abyss even if you main a 4-star DPS. perhaps even DPS Qiqi lol. Raiden is an exceptional character here. she's a DPS unit, but even Raiden has the support capability to restore ER to your whole team. characters like Ayaka, Yoimiya, Itto, and Hutao, while offering huge DPS damage, they are constrained with a specific team. they also require specific support characters to work well with them. so, this video is an excellent guide for all genshin players. and these support characters are super valuable. pull for them, and you won't regret them. the only characters left for me to pull is Zhongli. wish me luck on my next pull, and may you win your 50/50 as well!
Something that I will say and that Ik everyone else says. At the end of the day, choose who you like to play. The numbers don't matter if you don't enjoy how you achieved them.
@@Klick27 I mean. If I were gonna guess… artifacts, weapons, skill leveling, and/or synergism in teams. I say this having never 36* the abyss myself, but I did just 30* last cycle 🎉
If you run Kazuha with Favonius sword you'll need to make sure he has enough em (I heard that it's around 1000 but 800-900 works fine for me). I usually run Kazuha using Iron sting and a battery in my team and the entire teams bursts are usually recharged in time while my Kazuha also still does a lot of swirl damage.
New sub here, I just started playing GI, I have been following your 2 beginners guide step by step. I have binged watch most of your videos and they have been extremely helpful. Could you make a video on the most comfy build? Easy to play, low weapon options etc.
Wow nice thanks! The most comfy build would probably be a hyperbloom team with Zhongli, Kokomi + Good Dendro Character + Good Electro Character. You could do good damage while also having the strongest shield and tons of healing :)
Nahida is by far the best character to get. Of every character she is probably the most highly recommended and best. You will not be disappointed with her. You'll be disappointed you didn't pull for her. Her tether elemental skill alone is why. It shares damage between enemies and applies a lot of Dendro. I got lucky and won the 50/50 on the last day. It's recommended to start putting back primogems for her and be ready. What's great is you only need her at C0 so one pull and you can have a crazy strong Aggravate and Hyperbloom team or any other Dendro reaction for that matter. Sadly I did not win the 50/50 for Raiden Shogun. I was incredibly disappointed as she would've been great for my team. Yaoyao is a close second Dendro character worth getting too. Another great character that I feel needs more credit, especially when teamed with Dendro, is Kuki Shinobu. Absolutely great for hyperbloom teams. Everything goes boom.
i took a break from genshin when nahidas banner happened, im still kinda sad about missing it, but i can just get her on a rerun. im saving my primos until fontaine though, so hopefully she isn't rerunning before then
Picked up Genshin in January. Raiden and Yelan are already secured, have gems saved up for Nahida since I've heard she's returning soon and working on getting more for Zhongli. Don't really like Kokomi though, but still, 4 out of 5 match, damn.
Same! Zhongli and yelan is already on my team, still waiting for my waifuu raiden because i just returned to play genshin 2 weeks ago from 2 years no genshin life lol i missed genshin a lot since i stop at zhongli's banner
I only started playing on september. My first archon was nahida. And she made the game easier. With raiden, everything has become child's play. I've recently pulled hu tao & yelan, and so far with both c0, yelan is more useful. Hu tao is great but you really need to master her playstyle. If you've got a chance to get these 5, you must do it. They're really worth it
@@vivek8580 When limited characters get their featured banners again. Whoever is featured has a (bit) higher percentage of appearing when summoned, unless one loses the 50/50 for the 5-starrers - which would give you the standards instead: Diluc, Qiqi, Jean, Keqing(?), and Mona.
Ayaka is super good even with a Craftable 4 star weapon (amenoma kageyuchi) which is available in inazuma. If you want to have a main dps to carry your team go for ayaka
Ayaka is great and one of the best on field DPS characters in the game. That being said, Yelan is also one of the best off field DPS and her banner is really great with Xingqiu and Beidou on it. I'd wish on Yelan's banner if I were you.
Venti, Raiden, Yelan & Kazuha seems like good ones. After using a couple In free trial event I think Yelan is the best so far but needs good support. My current main is traveller, Xiaoling, Chongyun and any random healer. I plan to make a new party with one of the ones from above, hoping for a decent bow user
As a new player and not having enough characters for a team I like playing, I basically put everything into Yelans ER. Now, even as CO, I can keep her burst 100% active and shes hypercarrying me at ar43.
Kazuha is so good even with irong sting.. sometimes he deal more dmg than my dps lol,he carried my all the way from lower AR to AR 56 now.He is the best support in game !
I got back into genshin few weeks ago, bought a farmed acc since i didnt wanna start fresh and didnt wanna play my main, went for c2 nahida and got her wep r1, she singlehandedly made genshin amazing for me again...
As someone that got Yelan and Raiden really really early in the game. They are absurdly good that I very much so recommend pulling for them if you have the extra primos.
I just played genshin last year on September and I've already got 3 of the above (Venti, Raiden Shogun, and Yelan). But for venti, I mostly used him just to explore Teyvat, still haven't got the best artifacts for him and the Cecilia takes time to collect which is a hassle and I'm lazy to get them. But for Raiden and Yelan, I love them! They're my mains now. Maybe I'll pull Ayaka in the next oncoming patch to get more DPS character. Still waiting for Zhongli though
Got pretty lucky on the Yelan banner to nab her C2. She's carrying my entire account right now with Favonius warbow and an EoSF set with decent crit, really solid damage and nice battery for the whole team. Plus the overworld running? Chef's kiss 🤌Love this character.
Idk if other people will agree but I just did the story mission for jean and I absolutely love jeans character and combat style. Her being anemo and having gale toss on top of passive and ultimate healing is something my teams been severely lacking. Tbh my team is trash still at ar38. I don't have enough resources or am capped because several of my characters need ascension materials at places I'm still locked from getting. Like Shinobu and even Shenhe who I just got and really want to use, Shinobu needs inazuma stuff and Shenhe needs an ascension material from some monster that's apparently only found in a place that I have no idea where it's at or how to get to it. Some E word... It sucks because I was stoked to get Shinobu since she's electric based but I'm still stuck using Lisa and since I'm level 60 I really don't want to waste material on her or my team anymore since I have better characters and it's already a grind. But I'm at a point where I'm underleveled and my damage output is literally a quarter of what the enemies do to me now. I literally just got destroyed by three abyss mages on top the cliffs near where the alcor ship is by liyue, they were basically one shotting all my characters.... I've been using Rosaria, Lisa, Mona, Xingxian, Lumine, Noelle. I have tons of characters but only those six are the ones I could afford to get to 60, and I still don't have some of them with talents at 4. I've mostly been banking on Mona with Widsith and Lisa with Thrilling Tales and been using their elemental reactions on top of monas crowd control move, using their respective weapon buffs on switches too, to do the most damage. Rosarias cryo is useful for this team too but she's basically my DPS with dragon spine weapon. I tried both traveler and Xingxian with this team and though they are alright in different ways I found Noelles shield and health Regen ability much better since my Xingxian is super weak and traveler as well. On top of getting wrecked so much lately the health resto from Noelle and being a beefy tank seems to work far better. I only have two 5 star characters though, Mona and Shenhe, and I can't even use one of them, and don't have a single 5* weapon yet. I've put like 80 pulls on standard banner and still haven't gotten a 5 * from it, as both my 5 stars came from even banner. Even Mona who's features on standard came from my first event 5 star wish.
I do want to get some of these characters, like Zhongli, Yelan and Childe, but their banners have either not had a rerun or just had a rerun in which I wasn’t playing😭 I do have Xiao from his banner this year and now Alhaitham, and I’ve begun building Xiangling and I’ve been debating on what electro character to commit to. First Sara, but now I’m leaning more towards Keqing or Beidou
Ok. So. Beidou is my favorite electro character, but she's not amazing for electro application if you want her for a dendro character. Fischl is only so good if she has her c6, and Sara- well idk about her. I myself use Kuki, she kills dome of her hp, but she just needs a basic hp build, has a 100% skill up time, and heals herself and everyone else. Amazing char, I do recommend her.
I would have also added cyno white tassel can keep up with a lot of 4 star weapons even outdamages them and is like only 20% below his bis in dmg output also he‘s pretty easy to built because he ascends with with crit dmg which gives him 40 extra crit dmg and another 60 from the circlet means guaranteed 100 crit dmg give him em mainstats and the domain for him is pretty easy to farm and the same as for nahida and kuki nilou and a lot of other characters in dendro teams also the traveler btw since we talked about nilou you can play her in a bloom team with really low investment just give her hp mainstat on every single artifact and give her a lot of hp because she scales incredibly with hp thanks to her passives really easy to build and low investment just dont specifically give her em on this playstyle and take another character to prock the bloom reactions with a lot of em like barbara Xingqiu and another option would be collei or the traveler just give then a lot of em and only take hydro and dendro characters with you because of her first passive that „activates“ her 2nd
Maybe i should say nilou doesn’t really have that many good 4star weapon options and her bis is definitely worth it because of all the hp you get you can easily get to 70-80k hp which turns her into a tank basically
Raiden will always have a special place in my heart. I got raiden when she first came out at ar 8 after I lost an ar 30 account with no 5* so I was DESPERATE for one. Since then she hasn't left my team. Now I'm ar 57 and my team changed A LOT but she was always a part of it. Really fun playstyle and adds a lot of dmg. absolutely recommend
Started basically the day Yelan got out this this month and got her too that day with luck. Now I'm hoping for Zhongli, Raiden, and Kazuha with my priority set on Kazuha specifically (since I like the character's splashibility in teams and do have the sword you recommended). Any idea when those 3 may come out?
u said about situational nahida which works only in electro hydro teams well but forgot about such a great utility character like kazuha who literally one of the best f2p heroes becouse of easy build (all em) strong f2p weapon which can be crafted and insane em buff + skills that gathers enemies
Though I love both ayato and alhaitham I regret pulling for both over characters i would rather have/play. my friend forced me to go for ayato bc she wanted shogun and same with alhaitham and xiao (you get the point)
Mr Shark! Can you maybe make a video on Raiden Hyperbloom team? I have Yelan, Xingque, DMC and Raiden and it's working really nicely. But my build is not done and maybe more people would like to know about this easy AF team.
I find it more important to have a good main dps with good support to get the most out of your main dps. And a main dps is for me a good 5 star like Yoimiya, Raiden, Ganyu etc
Early on that's really important and then the supports end up becoming more important later. The good thing about this list is that most of these characters can at least be nice on field DPS until you get a more dedicated on field DPS.
@SharkH3art i got 2 on field dps characters now. Ayaka and Hu Tao. I had 150 wishes which I saved up for a long time. Ended with Yelan, c6 Xingqiu, Staff of Homa and Hu Tao. I have nothing to complain about this 😃
I would say Ayato is one of these characters too. Easy building, easy gameplay and easy team comps. Just dump your all Atk% weapon and artifacts on him and thats good enough. Also have one catalyst user with Dragon Tales for just switching to him, nothing else and bam! Your attack goes to the roof. Finally have a shield character like Noelle and make Ayato safe while using his E skill. You dont use his basic attacks much, so talent wise you only have two talents to upgrade. İt can be the basic of basics but even this is enough. If you have Zhongli too like me, it makes wonders. Zhongli, Barbara for Dragon Tales and also healing if needed and Ayato. I dont even need a 4th character for this comp.
Nice job, youtube, for recommending me this since the next Kokofish banner is just around the corner. Also, big thanks to the Shark himself for making this video.
After seeing this guide and seeing Yelan is good at C0 makes me kind of sad I wasn't able to get her when she was out. Dang. Hoyo will never release a banner as good as that one. Oh well, time to get a different 5*, or wait about a year or 2 for Yelan lol
As my first five-star, and being weak to quirky knickknacks, Kazuha ran with what became my first R5 weapon: the Dark Iron Sword. Good _golly,_ could Mihoyo spare us some refinement materials?
Free player here. I play quite a bit but I feel really lucky with my pulls on my account… I don’t have Kazuha or Xongli but I have a lot of other 5 stars and the combos I’ve created are really fun.
Im glad to pull for yelan..playing since 2 month ago..never pull any banner before..now i got yelan at c2 for 200 pity..all 4* character on banner got c6..and got hu tao too at 77 pity..
As detailed as this list is, the thing about getting these top tier characters is, that players still have to go through gacha. With pretty much everyone ok this list (except Yelan), I have a bone to pick, by the rediculous amount of unbelievable things I have went through. Reruns and banners running, when I physicaly/mentaly cannot play Genshin, Kazuha and Zhongli leaving me with either no 5 star, or letting me lose 50/50... Especialy with the rate of archons we have had in the past couple of updates, ot feels impossible to get all of them, without waiting a whole year, or so, just for them to rerum again, and as a F2P, it's difficult to get 70+ pulls for every single one of these characters in every version, and hitting 50/50 all the time. So just as a side note: These are great characters, some of them are the best in the game even, but there are a ton of 4 star characters, that do the same thing, just a little bit less effective, that can let you win the game pretty easily, especialy since dendro came out.
Good tips overall. If i may ask for some advice, i have a c0 yelan, with a r1 lv90 stringless that i got sometime ago. Stringless boosts elemental skill and burst by 24% but i see now that Recurve enhances her HP by quite a lot. Which would you say is better?
Never forget. The most valuable character you will pull will be the one you play. Don't fall into the trap of pulling for the meta picks and never use them afterwards.
Me with my C1 Hu Tao 😌😌
Also don't cry if you can't do 12 floor. This is the dumbest s. you can say to somebody. This game is all about synergy and elements. Pick hero you like but don't be stupid.
@Sasha05 What event? I read them when they are up.
oh I got alhaitham but never used him
Do people not use meta characters? Do people not like strong characters?
Hey shark your channel is super underrated. I feel like it fills the awkward area for players who care enough about meta to do our research but don't have the luxury of time to watch theorycrafters do their more detailed nerdy excel calculation! Your recommendations seem factually based on theorycrafters' opinions but simplified enough for most of us who are often confused by TC terms. Appreciate it!
Thanks so much!
I'd add Kazuha to this list. His weapon can be the free umbrella or the craftable Iron Sting.

I nearly quit the game before getting him, I was having horrible luck and was forced to use a rosaria as my main dps in wl6, after getting c0 Alhaitham I and progress through all the content even as FTP
but collecting pupa is a nightmare
radish god is eternal
I always made him do a plunging attack this way he will gain 1 mirror +2 mirrors from the skill, its super helpful
@@aryanchauhan510 i think the sacrifice of collecting mats IS worth it. I mean, he's not for me because I can't get onboard with the whole watching stacks. But I have to admit that he is a toptier character.
I love that the thumbnail is three archons and also Yelan. And you know what? She fits there.
Yeah haha
Lol
@@lechugacc3459 woooo congratssss, the name brought you luck for sure! :)
@@lechugacc3459 Yeah....especially for me who Is f2p and going to college so I have less of a time investment.
Prioritize Kazuha, Yelan, and Nahida. Raiden only has extra value over other good DPS characters if you don't already have Kuki at C2. Kokomi and Zhongli are great mostly for the comfort they bring. They are otherwise inefficient pulls if your goal is to secure the primogems from 36-starring spiral abyss as soon as possible.
this should be pinned
also kokomi isn't always necessarily for comfort, her AoE hydro application is extremely valuable in freeze teams. That being said, freeze has been pretty iffy in recent abyss considering the amount of boss chambers, so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Yelan + Raiden = mommy estim
I think Ayaka should also be in the honorable mention since she is already strong at c0 and her best 4 star weapon is the anemona kageuchi which can be crafted
nah
Ayaka is very strong as an on field dps :) The others have a bit of an edge because they can do well in just about any team.
She’s not that hard to build but she is a bit picky with team comps, not having a good hydro support in particular can hold you back.
I run the sacrificial sword on Kazuha, it solves the ER issue and being able to do his skill twice helps with grouping and crowd control.
i followed your advice when i started in 3.3 and got raiden (also wanderer as my first 5star) i also pulled for c6 xinqui but instead got him to c5 and got both yelan and hutao. Thanks for giving me a direction because now I’m having so much fun

This is such a great concept for a video, and is executed perfectly, thank you so much! I am a low spender (occasional BP only) and having Zhongli, Kokomi, and Nahida has definitely been excellent for me.
Awesome!
When I saw the title my guess was Raiden, Nahida, Yelan, Kokomi, and Kazuha, but I think you're right that Zhongli is a better pick for most players/accounts.
If you think about it, Kazuha can use crafted sword from Sumeru. Energy recharge sub stat and mastery for 12 seconds.
Thank you, Sharkie! I am now at AR50 and World level 6. And yes, still managed to get by with enough resources because of your guides. Thank you. *teary eyed

Good stuff!
Looking foward to Zhonli and Nahida rerun. I got most of the character I wanted now. Thx for your stream and video! It's really fun to learn from you! Much love!
Of course! I love having you in stream!
He is not here because he's an on field dps that won't bring as much overall value as someone like Nahida because he doesn't
have any off field presence.
@@sharkh3art ah, that's pretty understandble, thanks for the clarification

Nahida made my two healers who were rotting into my strongest team. Barbara and kuki. And her team is also really, really, really easy to build cuz you don't have to care about cr/cd. She's on most broken support with Benny and kazuha.
Currently using a nahida, baizhu, yelan, raiden team and it’s my favorite team I’ve used so far so I can confirm. Killing most things with them feels incredibly easy and comfortable. Hoping to pull Kazuha soon!
thank you for your amazing video , keep it up sharky ^^
I have 3 of these ( yelan , Bal , Nahida )
now I am saving for kazuha and kokomi ^^
Wow nice! I hope you get Kazu and Koko early :)
Played since 2020 and zhongli is still use in my team to this day. ❤
Nice!
I need Zhongli!
Lol same here bruh! Didn't even had a single moment to think of taking him off to my team 😅
it's the opposite for me, I go him on the first day during his first banner but I rarely use him nowadays, the only time I used him these past few months is on Abyss Floor 12-2 with the 3 Maguu Kenkis.
Same ! That number 4 spot on my team is fix for Zhongli always
Or just stop being an "ooga booga sword go swoosh" moron and build a reaction team, which you can build even with just one 5 star.
@@stephenwu1524 Since you know so much, could I ask you for some advice?
Ive recently started out my account and now try to plan out characters to go for, since as a f2p you realy need to do that early in order to spend your resources wisley.

This just a place holder for you to answer to not loose this comment :D
@@user-ir8er1bh4q sure! If you have a discord or something we should probably talk there since CZcams comments are kinda bad for one on one conversation.
For me the best characters for f2p is:
1) Zhongli.
@@christa9287 Ayaka may not be as op as she was in the new abyss, but I got her and Im very pleased with her.
Started on zhongli most recent banner and i have all these characters besides kazuha so yea i agree with everything he said honestly
Well said!
My hutao would disagree in last part but oh well
The only issue with Kuki over Kokomi is that you can't guarantee Kuki.
Yes! Characters that can use 3 star weapons well are great and so a 4 star weapons, but no one "needs" 5 star weapons--they are a luxury :)

As someone who used iron sting kazuha for the longest time, it's actually not as bad as everyone says it is. completely 100% agree with your take here. most useful characters are not DPS units but support. they will support you until the end of floor 12 abyss even if you main a 4-star DPS. perhaps even DPS Qiqi lol.

I feel this I got lucky and got her to c1 and I'm hoping to get her to c3 when she has her rerun. She has really changed the way I play the game.

Picked up Genshin in January. Raiden and Yelan are already secured, have gems saved up for Nahida since I've heard she's returning soon and working on getting more for Zhongli. Don't really like Kokomi though, but still, 4 out of 5 match, damn.
Nice! You don't need all of them but having a few is very helpful.
Oooh, have you started this game this year or last year?
@@bIueberryz I started in late 2020 :)
@@bIueberryz This year.
Same! Zhongli and yelan is already on my team, still waiting for my waifuu raiden because i just returned to play genshin 2 weeks ago from 2 years no genshin life lol i missed genshin a lot since i stop at zhongli's banner
Great video thx alot, so helpful
Thanks to you from AR 30 I focused on these characters now my team is Raiden, yelan, nahida, zhongli 😅love it ❤
I only started playing on september.
They're really worth it
Awesome gald to hear how much they helped!
@@sharkh3art videos like this really helps, specially on newbies. Keep it up dude.
@@JV-yq4tz Awesome to hear! Thank you!
I was pulling for Yelan but lost the 50/50....Now I have to wait for her rerun😅😅
I got her C0 at very hard pity. 😭
What is rerun, can u explain, plz
@@vivek8580 When limited characters get their featured banners again. Whoever is featured has a (bit) higher percentage of appearing when summoned, unless one loses the 50/50 for the 5-starrers - which would give you the standards instead: Diluc, Qiqi, Jean, Keqing(?), and Mona.
I have lost 50/50 at 40 wishes and got yelan after 35 wishes
Total 75 wishes.
@@vivek8580 the next time when her banner will be available
Good video man but the audio is soooooo muffled I had to crank up my volume so much just to hear you
I started playing during Raiden's latest banner and now have 2 chars from this list (Raiden and Yelan)
U can't go wrong with zhong
Haha true!
please tell if ayaka is good or not
I'd also like to know if I should save my primos for Ayaka or try to get Yelan.
Ayaka is super good even with a Craftable 4 star weapon (amenoma kageyuchi) which is available in inazuma. If you want to have a main dps to carry your team go for ayaka
She's amazing. One of the best characters in the game.
Ayaka is great and one of the best on field DPS characters in the game. That being said, Yelan is also one of the best off field DPS and her banner is really great with Xingqiu and Beidou on it. I'd wish on Yelan's banner if I were you.
@@sharkh3art 40 wishes later ended up with Yelan and C6 Ning. Yay I guess =P
Thank you! Glad i Went for the this character
Kazuha is so good even with irong sting.. sometimes he deal more dmg than my dps lol,he carried my all the way from lower AR to AR 56 now.He is the best support in game !
Already have raiden and yelan, zhongli and kok were already on my to-pull list
I got back into genshin few weeks ago, bought a farmed acc since i didnt wanna start fresh and didnt wanna play my main, went for c2 nahida and got her wep r1, she singlehandedly made genshin amazing for me again...
May I ask where did you buy that acc? 😮I’d love to have a 2nd one
As someone that got Yelan and Raiden really really early in the game. They are absurdly good that I very much so recommend pulling for them if you have the extra primos.
Getting Yelan on her recent banner changed how easy gameplay is and this is just at C0
Nice!
I'm New Too Genshin as a whole. So thank for this. I got a few of the characters.
Noelle, Barbara,
I hundred% would recommend Yelan. She revolutionizes exploration
Got pretty lucky on the Yelan banner to nab her C2. She's carrying my entire account right now with Favonius warbow and an EoSF set with decent crit, really solid damage and nice battery for the whole team. Plus the overworld running? Chef's kiss 🤌Love this character.
Nice! Yeah I love her too!
Spiral abyss wise all the above characters are rlly strong with good artifacts builds and all that
For full EM kazuha, xiphos moonlight is amazing, because it fixes the ER problem, while still giving you as much EM as possible
Xiphos is a weapon banner 4* thats not a weapon a f2p should have.
@@luminous3558 i'm f2p and have it r3
Thanks shark, pretty much agree with every placement here (I'd take Kazuha over Kokomi but that's just me)
Thanks :)
I do want to get some of these characters, like Zhongli, Yelan and Childe, but their banners have either not had a rerun or just had a rerun in which I wasn’t playing😭
I do have Xiao from his banner this year and now Alhaitham, and I’ve begun building Xiangling and I’ve been debating on what electro character to commit to.
Nahida was my first limited 5* back in April. I got Venti this month at 45 pity and a 50/50 win
I knew I missed out when I didn't pull for Kokofish. Will do so on her next banner.
Really fun playstyle and adds a lot of dmg. absolutely recommend
bro how did you get 5 star at low ar😢😢 im ar 20 now but no 5 stars yet
I'm definitely going to aim for these characters
:D
Started basically the day Yelan got out this this month and got her too that day with luck. Now I'm hoping for Zhongli, Raiden, and Kazuha with my priority set on Kazuha specifically (since I like the character's splashibility in teams and do have the sword you recommended). Any idea when those 3 may come out?
i think kazuha is gonna get a rerun soon, it's been about 6 months since he had a banner
Another great genshin vid. Keep it up and good luck. Thank you!
Thank you!
u said about situational nahida which works only in electro hydro teams well but forgot about such a great utility character like kazuha who literally one of the best f2p heroes becouse of easy build (all em) strong f2p weapon which can be crafted and insane em buff + skills that gathers enemies
I can! I've been trying to figure out how to make a dendro guide. I think I have to make 2 or maybe 3 xD.
im actually considering getting at least c1 or even c2 nahida when she reruns just for the sweet that she brings to dendro reaction dmg
I have nothing to complain about this 😃
@@danny091283 Wow very nice!
I always love hearing your opinions and advice on characters, so thank you for this video!! :)
I'm so glad!
@@sharkh3art:D
I love Kazuha with his free 4* sword from his story quest.
I have yelan, raiden & nahida on my team rn although sadly using barbara since kokomi didn't come home last time her banner was up
Im glad to pull for yelan..playing since 2 month ago..never pull any banner before..now i got yelan at c2 for 200 pity..all 4* character on banner got c6..and got hu tao too at 77 pity..
Wow nice!
Me who already has a copy of Favonius Sword and the Stringless:
Guess I'll wait for a Kazuha and Venti
My 5* currently is Zhongli, Raiden, Yelan and Wanderer...planning to get Nahida on her rerun
Nice!
Zhongli completely changed my experience in this game. I built him as a physical DPS. After a week of smashing LMB, my wirst were hurting AF.
I do reccomend the recurve.
