What Happened to the Other Two 'Titanics'

- Did you know that Titanic wasn't the only one of its kind but actually had two sisters - the Britannic and the Olympic? And when the Titanic was sinking, one of its sisters was actually on its way to help, but unfortunately, it didn't make it in time. The Olympic was supposed to be the real deal, but after just two months, it crashed into the HMS Hawke. In the tumultuous 1910s, The Olympic was put into service and played a crucial role in transporting over 200,000 passengers, including refugees and servicemen. The Britannic had a completely different destiny.

The Olympic was too far away to rescue the Titanic. The Olympic was the only one of the 3 sister ships that did not sink. She was scrapped in 1935 after 24 years of service
So the company want the Olympic to become titanic “
@@MrTrollFaceEdits no
@@MrTrollFaceEdits lol nope
@@MrTrollFaceEdits Oh dear. Another one fooled by a switcher video.
@@MrTrollFaceEdits They've seen the shipyard number of the Titanic on pictures of the wreck so it was NOT switched.
In the fall of 1912, the Olympic was taken out of service to make safety improvements and other upgrades. Afer Titanic sank, construction on her other sister ship Brittanic was halted to make safety changes
I live in Australia so olympic was taken out of service in Spring of 1912. like i said im aussie
@@deansalmon5783 what does this add to the conversation? It was out of work for upgrades in late 1912, would have been a better reply.
@@deansalmon5783??? Lol
The Olympic boat didn’t sink it was a little damaged
May the soul of the people who died rest in peace
Yes 😢😢😢
Imagine calling the other two sister ships "Titanics" when Olympic was the first.
I know, right??
Probably because titanic is more popular, it gets more views.
@@SummerGrant10 Unfortunately true. It just seems so easy to romanticize the loss of a ship on its maiden voyage and over 1,500 lives (5 of them very recently). I mean, who even cares about that one ship that should have sunk at least 6 times and never did? I'll admit, it took me decades to learn what the Olympic even looked like; any mentions of it I saw in books were just fleeting references.
4:51 The Britannic never carried passengers. It was a hospital ship from 1915 to 1916 and sank after hitting a mine. She carried only pasients and crew
Can't wait for historic travels to react to this video
yes but like the amount of pain he goes through
2:09 A correction over here, the Olympic maintains course, even kept on attempting to connect to the Titanic's radio. They only turned away after they receive a message from the Carpathia, "The Titanic had sunk", in which when the Olympic offers help, she was declined in fear of making the evacuated Titanic passengers trauma and anxiety to rise, as a 'mirror image' of the very ship that carried them before and possibly bring their lived ones down ask them to go aboard.
I would love to learn more about the woman who survived in all the three sinking sister, ships, who was she really.
Me too like what did she do after the Britannic
She became a pro
The Olympic never sank
TRUE!!!@@vonmenfred3995
Don’t watch these clowns if you wanna know about Violet Jessop
2:07 No…. The Olympic didn’t turn around and stop heading to Titanic’s aid because she was too far. She was now somewhat 100-150 miles away when the Carpathia was already collecting survivors. Harold Cottam informed Bruce Ismay and Captain Rostron that the Olympic had radioed and asked if they would like to transfer any survivors. Ismay and Rostron agreed that it may be best to not let the Olympic take any survivors as she was almost 100% indentical to the Titanic and would traumatize the survivors even more. So they radioed back to the Olympic telling them that they already had everything under control and that they and the other ships that offered help may now go back to their course.
That’s why they stopped course to the Titanic’s reporter position. It wasn’t during the night, it happened hours after the Carpathia made it to the wreck site.
They should have kept Olympic for people in the museum. They shouldn't have scrapped it.
This is so fascinating 💎
Bro these guys got the majority of dates wrong when Olympic and Britannic had there accidents THIS ISN’T FASCINATING
I love titanic
Same

Olimpic is better

@@ajgamesroblox2014 britannic is better
Violet Jessop has the greatest story that who makes her movie will be very famous.
They definitely do need to make a movie about her for sure. It would be interesting to see that movie.
Violet Jessop is amazing female. I can't believe she was on Titanic and her 2 sisters ships. Unfortunately very few people know about violet Jessop.
2:56 it fired 2 torpedoes 1 misses the other struck mid center but it didn’t explode so they first discovered it when she was a passenger ship a year after in 1919
I mean, this guy got a lot of information wrong 😑
I literally lose brain cells reading the titles of your videos and then l lose even more by watching them 🙃
you are not alone
Britannic never caried passengers and was only in service for like 11 months, guys you need to do your research.
Exactly lol. When they said the Britannic was in used for over two years I was like huh?! It was 11 months
Yeah it was lunched in 1914 but only put into service 1915
The band playing to the end on Titanic is a myth
Another titanic video? Ooo cool! Also the names of the others are Olympic and Britannic
The amount of views this channel gets is frustrating. So many people being fed misinformation when there are actual researched videos that get barely any views
This video makes some ridiculous misinformation. It’s not that hard to get it right. Look at what CREDIBLE sources are stating. Was obsessed with Titanic long before the movie and read anything about it including the court cases that followed. I did like some stuff on this channel but this video ruined it for me.
@@eclectichippie I hate when people get misinformed by videos like this
i like how his using ai to make tarible pic of britanic
Me too
Thanks
The Titanic was part of the Olympic class of ships so your title should be What Happened To The Other Olympic Ships
it should be "what happened to the other 2 ships of the Olympic class**
I would have loved to see all three ships now that I know some history of them but if choosing one I’d choose titanic
They were planning on making a cruise liner called the Titanic II. From what I understand, they cancelled the production because so many people thought it would be a jinx or just really disrespectful in some way. This was a few years back.
wel not realy the work has been shutt off but thare is maybe stil a plan @@Waterpassion

Why does the audio sound like it was encoded at 32kbps?
I would love to have that experience of sailing in these ships
Me too. Only thing is they all ship wreck. Another thing, I’m planning a cruise and shouldn’t be watching this tho safety measures have increased dramatically since then, considering technology! 🥹
The closest you can get to is the queen Mary 2 which does transatlantic cruises
@@ximiea3778 I toured that when it was docked in Long Beach CA back n the 70s

Olympic certainly got many years of service with all the damage from Hawke .....
I love to see all of them ❤️
they start the video by saying " Everyone knows about the Titanic." even though they don't even know about the story about the Titanic
Hahaha. So true
true fact: another boat was only 10 miles away from the titanic but thought the distress signal was nothing, so they ignored it. The Carpathia was 52 miles away and noticed it! sadly the Carpathia also sank a little later :(
I love the titanic 0:21
The German u boat that got rammed by the Olympic be like: nani?! 😲 The Olympic: ramming mission complete! ✊😎
I feel bad Olympic tried to save tanic but failed I ma crying right now 😭😭😭😭😭
i would like to see all of these ships in real life 😊
I will like to see the Olympic
Yes I would love to see all of them in real life and you ❤
Hi, so when I was going on the boat I saw the boat was sinking a little because the water is full of fish and how did this happen? I will tell when the fishes are coming up and pulling us. I was so worried my parents survived. I will tell you how we were going on a liane😩😩😩😩😩😩
If I was living back in those years, I think that it would be interesting in seeing them. The only problem I would have is not getting sea sick. As for traveling on one, it would probably be worth it.
Haven’t watched this in about a year or two, where did the other narrator go?
my dad used to be on the brittanic when it's was a hospital ship and I would see him each day but one day my dad was later then usual and I never saw him again and he died while on the ship😔

The Titanic hit an iceberg, not an iceberg hit the titanic
Yes
I love Titanic
Do you remember the oid vid???
Thank you for clarifying that it also sank into the ocean, otherwise, I would have assumed it sank into lava.
Also the HMHS Britannic wreck is actually not that far from the capital city of Athens.
I would Definitely go on the Titanic BIG TIME!!!

I thought that the Britannic only served for 11 months. Thank you for letting me know that it lasted longer. Also, I personally believe that a torpedo sunk the Britannic. Nice work on the video, by the way. You have always been one of my favorite channels.
Britannic hit a sea mine.
also it was an 11 month service
YES
2nd titanic probably sank by its stern and it broke into 4 pieces, the 3rd titanic probably didn’t sink,it disappeared off the radar.
