A collectors item. Great to have for any fan. Puts you in Rafa’s shoes and that’s awesome. It’s why I bought (and have) a K-Tour 90. I’m terrible with it (I use a 100 head). , but it makes me smile every time I use it for 20 minutes or so
Ok, since I started to watch TennisSpin a while back, I remember Harry disecting Rafa's 2008 Wimbledon match winning racket. The specs differ a bit from the signature racket as follows:
2018 Wimbledon racket:
Weight -339
Balance-333
Swingweight -361
Signature Racket:
Weight -340
Balance-338
Swingweight -375
If the signature racket is what he plays now, then my guess is that he has gotten much stronger since 2008 and increased the weight on the racket.
The differences seems "tennis acceptable"
A few years ago uncle Tony talked about how they added a couple of grams at 12 o’clock. This was around 2017-18 iirc. That would explain the jump in sw.

just add an overgrip to change its SW and balance
@@aj520605overgrip may change the balance but not the sw. It is only reduced if weight is taken away from the head of the racket.

SW is huge, especially when you think that RF97s SW is 333.
RF97 Vs Rafa Origin 100 - Strung weight 357 Vs 340 / Flex 68 Vs around 70 (spec listed as 73) / 9 pts HL Vs 1.5 pts HL/ Swing weight 333 Vs 375. So Rafa Origin is lighter but with higher swing weight than RF97.
Awesome review! The paint job is cool. It is not as good looking as the 2019 Rafa PA paint job. The specs are off the chart. It will be a fun collectible. I think the lighter spec would be the option to go with for most players wanting to seriously play with the frame.
Specs like this makes one appreciate Nadal and Pete Sampras´ achievements al the more:
Nadal:
- 20 seasons on tour
- 22 Majors / 92 titles / 36 Masters
- one racquet used: 335-345g / 360-370SW / 100” head
Sampras:
- 13 seasons on tour
- 14 Majors/Slams / 64 titles / 11 Masters
- one racquet used: 384g / 367SW / 85” head

This raquet looks like a sure fire way to get tennis elbow.
For those who don't have the technique and stamina to swing it properly -- ie. probably 99+% of the tennis-playing population -- you're likely correct.
Yep spot on, i'm using this frame for the last 4 months and it destroyed my elbow, and the swing weight on mine is ''only'' 354 grams, i have to revert back to the 2019 aero rafa with a more reasonable swing weight of 325 grams
340g, head heavy and 375 swing weight. Sounds like a monster. Add in poly and tons of folks are looking at some sore elbows.

Love the weight (my racquets around 345g with overgrip)... but that balance and swingweight are crazy. Definitely need to be Superman to wield it.

It would have been interesting to look under the bumperguard before stringing it to see if they put lead. Or is the weight inside of the frame?

It is better to produce and use Carlos Moyas' specs: 320g with balance down to floor;) Quite lile to handle and much power and stability at the same time. And it's manageable for everybody

Saying that I have the OG aero that Rafa actually plays with, at one point I had it at 375 grams strung with all the lead in head so it was around 375 swingweight, and I was playing great, but it looked like crap because all the lead made it silver 😂
I recently modified iRadical to make it almost exactly like Djokovic frame at 355 grams 355 swingweight, and it’s probably the best racquet I’ve ever hit, every says high swingweight is horrible for amateur players, and it is, but first 30 minutes feel like Heaven!!!
So far big 3 racquet rating by me is
#1 Novak iRadial 95 (his pro stock is very close to it and same mold)
#2 Rafa APD original heavy spec
#3 RF97 (solid and great just least favorite of the 3 GOATS frames)

Could you compare the spec with Rafa racket that you have?... is it the same the number of swing weight?
Makes sense if it is similar. Rafa apparently puts 2 layers of lead under his entire head guard, making it extremely head heavy

I’m all for cool racquet colors - I even liked the orange creamsicle radical and love the avocado extreme mp - but this racquet design is ugly beyond. Not sure what they were thinking with this mix of colors! I’d consider buying this for fun to have a racquet with nadals specs to tool around with from time to time, but hard to justify that with the price and especially with how nasty it looks 🤪

What a coincidence, Roger uses as similar weight racquet C:
Roger’s racquet is actually quite a bit heavier at around 366g but it’s very headlight, making it easier to swing around than Rafa’s racket
Roger racket is way more people friendly with hybrid setup half of the highschool player could not swing or rally with nadal racket using dead poly.
warwinka uses even higher weight racket than both of them.

Majority of the competitive highschoolers use full bed poly, commonly being alu power, tourbite, hyper g and rpm blast.
While I agree with you that Rafa’s racket is much harder to use than Roger’s, Roger’s racket is not people friendly either. Super low powered unforgiving frame with a tiny sweet spot, there’s a reason why 99% of the pros don’t use a similar racket or similar spec.

It doesn't make any sense to sell a racket with pro specs. Your average tennis club player is going to get hurt swinging that thing. Specially kids that follow Rafa.

Guys do not buy this racket if you are not at least a pro level with excellent technique and above average fitness. It sounds good on paper but this one will destroy your wrist, elbow or/and shoulder in the long run if you are not properly trained and have flawless technique.
I agree, better get a racquet that is more forgiving on the arm. This racquet does require exceptional technique.
This racquet will definitely destroy your body unless you weight lift regularly and strong... And young... Annddddd at least rated a 5.0 minimum

Why would anyone be interested in trying to swing Rafa’s spec racket unless you’re looking to ruin your game? This racket is for 1% of the players out there. I’ll enjoy your video but I have zero interest in trying to delude myself into thinking I could actually play well with that thing. No one viewing this page can swing a 375 SW racket with any consistency.
