    I do this trick, and it always gets a great reaction from the person who cuts the deck and counts the cards. The 3 proofs truly are overkill. I like the way you do it better than my method, I always have my prediction written on a piece of paper I keep in my wallet. I believe that writing the card on the case's flap is more powerful. And come to think of it, I believe that is how Paul did it.
    Your presentation is great. I particularly like you drawing out your reveal..."It's a black card, isn't it? A club...near the middle..." Very nicely done, Craig.

    What the reset time for this for you. I found that the reset kinda hard at time when trying to walk to table to table since You have to count to get the magic where it needs to be. Great trick though. I normally just do it has a parlor type show now not walk around.

    • @magic-tv
      @magic-tv  Před 3 lety

      It’s a pretty quick reset. I can reset it typically in about 10 to 15 seconds so it’s really practical

      I learned it on Paul Harris Stars of Magic download, its on Penguin for 14 bucks and packed full of effects. It was filmed decades ago tho so camera quality isn't the best but the magic is top notch!

    @m1sterrattles764 Před 3 lety +1

    Not convinced by this one. The revelations show it was always going to be the Ace of Clubs so you then just go down the math route and it’s fairly simple to work out.

    • @brucet53
      @brucet53 Před 3 lety

      Follow it with sleight-of-hand and they never look back!

    • @m1sterrattles764

      @@brucet53 yeah , I can see that. I had a thought that you could make it more magical by sticking a piece of double-sided tape on the face of ace that’s in the cards that you deal out. Deal the cards then do the count piece and ask the spec to remember the card at their number. Then bring them spread out cards together and apply some pressure.
      Ask them to name their card then re-spread the deck to show its vanished. And where is it, why it’s in their hand at the place they cut to.
      Magic not maths 😀

    • @lgnir
      @lgnir Před 3 lety

      Not to a layperson. I'm a hack/hobbyist. Have not had one person yet say they could work it out. They are always confused by the different colored back card matching the cad they "cut to".

    I don’t understand the point of showing the second ace of clubs. Doesn’t this tell the spectator that there always were two?

    • @AndyCooper761
      @AndyCooper761 Před 3 lety

      Possibly, but I imagine it would fly past most spectators. How about replacing the red back ace of clubs with a blank face card with written prediction? ‘I knew you would cut here’ or something like that?

    • @lgnir
      @lgnir Před 3 lety

      Yes, but one of them have a different colored back! I found a version someone did where they wrote down the prediction as "I predict you will choose a red 7" and the 7 of Spades is revealed. The participant stated the prediction said a RED 7, and then you flip the card over to reveal the red back. Then say something like, "However I knew you would choose that card, turn your pile over." I have done it this way 3 times now, and people are amazed every time. No one has said anything about there being 2 of the same card (one with a different back) so far!
