"Women who were vilified" - yes!
Eve was told by Christian God not to eat from the tree of knowledge, but she did anyway (and was expelled from Paradise).
Psyche, a beautiful mortal woman, was forbidden from seeing the face of her divine lover, Eros (better known by his Latin name, Cupid), but she did anyway (and suffered his wrath, having to quest and beg forgiveness to get back in his good graces).
Bluebeard forbade his seventh wife to open one specific door in their home, but she did anyway (and found the corpses of the previous six).
Throughout history, these have often been cited as cautionary tales against female curiosity. But why should knowledge ever be forbidden?
Le Sserafim are awesome, and they are basically always filmed. Their CZcams account is full to the brim. "Life is content" is kind of the team motto. They have sooo much content out, and most of it is hilarious. The exceptions are the two documentaries; one, The World is my Oyster, showing them from joining the debut team till the day of the debut; the other one, Make It Look Easy, just came out not even two weeks ago. Both are very emotional, very vulnerable, and lay bare the life and struggles of K-pop idols more than any other documentary I have ever seen. They are long, but well worth watching, if you take interest in the group (and even if not, in my opinion). The title is a reference to the Easy MV, which is anything but - it is their hardest choreo so far (and there is also the subtext that you were talking about, where you don't see all the blood, sweat and tears behind the scenes). Some people categorise Le Sserafim as "girl crush", but I don't think I have ever heard of them sing "I am the best" like so many others, always "I may be imperfect but I strive to better myself".
Also, Yunjin is a songwriter, and has published several (four?) solo songs since debut. One of them is called I ≠ DOLL (and pronounced as "idol") which I have an inkling you might enjoy.
You guys should react to their Easy-@Garage dance(to get the whole dance experience), Impurities MV, Smart MV…
Also its a must to watch their Dance practices(especially their end of the yr dance practices) - suggestion: MMA 2022, MAMA 2022, SBS gayo daejeon 2022 etc

Ngl Easy got a LOT of hate from religous folks fans and non fans alike so im glad you guys seemed to be able to see the message behind the mv setting, its not even a song i really enjoy from them but i still felt was confused about the sheer amount of pushback. I think a lot of people somehow miss all the religous refrences in leserrafim as group, Le serrafim can trasnlate to "I'm fearless" which is their debut title, LE SSERAFIM is also a 6 winged angel from the bible who's most known message is "be not afraid" (because biblically accurate angels are crazy looking), le sserafim debuted with 6 members which clearly was suppose to be a refrence to the angel's wings I MEAN the whole group was based off this angel. Their lyrics and song titles often have religous and mythological refrences as well as women impowerment, eve psyche & the bluebeard's wife are all women who all did something they weren't suppose to do, something a man told them not to do. In their songs they often talk about how they aren't perfect, they aren't angels, they are scarred, they are human, and they often rip off wings in their mvs. I feel like church setting was bound to happen and The amount of hate they got shocked me, I also heard its a set church often used in movies and music videos so not even a real church.
Im glad you guys espcially Erin got the message they were trying to convey in Easy.
Also, they actually have a few documentries on their struggles being an idol, both pre-debut and recently, its very really heartbreaking because their are clips of same day live stages we have already seen before the documentary came out only for us to see them really really stuggling mentally and physically backstage before the performance

K-pop stans are just so lazy to actually look up actual facts, but they are easily all in when it comes to trending hate. Short video clips, 1 article, are the only basis of judgments, and that's the narrative they go for. Really don't even matter which fandom it's coming from. There are always bad apples who sound louder when thrown.
Basically what I was going to write but u did it for me thank you 😊.
Also, the hate train on easy was also because fandoms from all the gg wanted to find everything they could to hate on them w the easy cb. The hate train started when perfect night popped off in Korea and blocked aespa/ive recent cb which they had Paks/all kills. So their fandoms were pissed that perfect night and English song to boot was number one on all charts except for this one Korean chart. So never got the all Paks kill. Then the announcement of Coachella happened and everyone got bitter because they got invited. A lot of people suspected it was hybe payola but the only way u can go to perform at Coachella is either an invite like they did or an artist who is already performing their can ask someone to perform w them. Coachella programmers saw how well LE SSERAFIM performed at blizzon con and how fast their sold event at the Grammy museum. And extended an invite to the company for LE SSERAFIM to perform in April of 2024. So when it was announced the hate train was at a medium and then cb it got more intense.

if you decide to go further into Le Sserafim and want to get to know their journey more, you should watch their documentaries. as of the time of commenting, they have two: "The World is My Oyster," which details their pre-debut to debut days, and "Making It Look Easy," which mostly documents antifragile to pre-easy era.

im sorry but i found so funny that you went from eve,psyche and bluebirds wife, to perfect night, because they are kinda opposite genres/sounds 😂 and you were mentioning you didnt like much that girly/cute stuff. but yeah, their lyrics are pretty much on the same line as to being yourself
also perfect night was a collaboration with a video game called overwatch, so that's where the characters are from and they got some powers

As you guys picked up on, the song is centered on desiring to do what is forbidden for (specifically) female idols-hence the title using women who have done things that were forbidden to them

Hi! I really loved your reaction to Le Sserafim! They will be making their comeback later this month with their mini album "Crazy," and it would be amazing if you could react to them again! Each of the members has had different careers before, and they all bring unique stories with them. Since most of their songs are composed by themselves, each song gives you a chance to get to know them better. They have many songs with beautiful messages, beyond just their singles and B-sides, which are perfect! "Impurities," "Fire in the Belly," "Good Parts," "Smart," are just a few...
Also, the girls have recently faced a lot of hate for being true to themselves and showing a different side of K-pop that most of society is still not used to. So all the support for this new comeback is necessary and very much appreciated!!!
