Summer Schedule
Expect a new video every Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday! (Schedule May Vary)
How Farms Work by Ryan Kuster is a CZcams channel based in rural Potosi, Wisconsin. Our mission is to teach those who didn't grow up on a farm what the farming life is like. These videos show the Kuster family working together raising cattle and crops. We believe everyone who wants to know more about farming should be able to share the farming experience with us and we look to educate the world on many essential agriculture topics.
How Farms Work takes place on ~1,100 acres with around 75-200 cattle at any given time. Four John Deere tractors are currently used on the farm, which are a 4020, 4640, 7600, and 8235R.
"Let's put this back so Travis can smash his hand too"
Spoken like a true little brother 😆
I would’ve done the same thing 😄
Congratulations on the new combine. It is definitely the number one item people have asked about over the years. So those folks better come watch and give you a few million views on your videos.
Great addition! the 9510 and 6620 are proof you can farm with older equipment!, the 9770 will be fun to watch!
Now that is a worthy upgrade! Been watching you guys long enough to be about as excited as one could be without actually being on the farm, so congrats to you guys! Can't wait to see how harvest goes next year!!
Everybody getting new combines this year. Congrats on the new purchase! A draper will make a big difference. There’s also a few hidden grease zerks hidden on it, mainly the one behind the big clutch on the left side. Keep the variable speed greased and you will be fine.
Congratulations on the new combine. Dads making some nice purchases this year. Going to be a learning curve on that combine
Excellent video, and I enjoyed the casual conversations you three had when not talking to the camera.
Very happy for all of you. Dad,Travis and Ryan
My father delivered this combine. Enjoy!
i know your father, he's a good guy
I always marvel at you and your families operation. Of course, I only have 20 acres, a jd 3020 tractor, an ancient cutter, and an MF small square baler, and a side-delivery rake. At 73, I am retired, and have been taking a break, for the last few years, but have about decided to gear back up, for something to do. Thank you, for all your many videos, and observations, over the years. I hope that you, your brother, and your father and all of your family, have good progress and profits, through the years.
I’m excited for you! Mom was probably getting tired of Dad coming home from his other job and being tired and grumpy for two straight months during harvest.
Good choice. I've had a 9770 for years. It's been great. Bullet proof.
There'll be a small learning curve but a lot of the things you know about combines still apply.
I hope it treats you as well as mine has treated me.
yah probly hard to try to learn and setup a new to you combine in the middle of harvest, don't blame them for not being keen to fire it up immediately, though I do hope they use it once this fall to make sure everything is setup and ready to go for next year
Congrats guys well deserved and congrats on expanding the farm
Congrats guys. You’ve come a long way since the farm sale and getting out of dairy.
Grats on the new green machine! Can't wait to see 'er run.
Congrats y’all, hope it works out well for you and your growing farm/operation.👍
Beautiful machine. Hope you get a lot of good use out of it. Be safe
Congrats, remember to have fun with it as well as work hard you guys deserve this!
It looks in real good shape. A nice find. I can imagine it is not easy to find something like this.
Congrats on the new combine way to go
I am glad that you got your new combine looks nice👍🚜 God bless🙏
Congrats on the new to you combine! Good video! Thanks
good to see you guys do somee up grading i am happy for you guys and a huge thank you for feeding us hope you have a great weekend
Congrats. Big day for the Kusters. Mom and Dad are on cloud nine and you boys are as well. That's a beautiful machine for 10 years old, my gosh someone took good care of it. You better post a sign somewhere that says big top. If your like me and your not used to folding that down your libel to take it clean off on the shed header. You guys are fortunate. Please dont pay any attention to the arm rest farmers that like to tell you how to run your operation. You all know what the next step is, nobody else.
I remember watching you when I was little great job man I’ve seen your farm come a long way
Awesome combine. Hope it treats you well!!
Wow that thing is huge. Definitely a big upgrade from the 9510.
Sonne Farms uses a JD 9770 STS Combine for their Corn and Beans.
Congratulations Dwight and Beth.
Fantastico, Lovely machine, Well wear Dwight, Beth and all the Kuster Crew:):)
Congrats on thr new combine. Looking forward to the next video.
Congratulations, guys! Nice machine you got there.
Hope yall be able to use the 9770 sts this year will be interesting to see how much of a upgrade it is over the 9510 combine
More volume per hour is what it's all about.
Congrats on the new ride.
Take care.
Very cool! Congratulations guys!
Them 9770's are a beautiful machine to run and they're pretty much bullet proof
Other then the computer 🤣 lots of codes and beeping compared to what he had
they're
@@jdfarmspulling398 yea but despite all of that, they will finish harvest and cover acres much faster with that size a machine
One of the best combines they made. My family’s farm went from a 9500 and a 9510 to 2 9770s a couple years ago. Have demoed the S series but to be honest the fuel consumption was much higher on S series and just kind of seemed like a negative for what you were gaining. Hope we can see you run this yet this fall!
So glad you guys are able to upgrade
Now I want to see this machine in this field! Draper head maybe??? Looks like a nice machine.
Nice machine guys I think y’all will be impressed with it😎keep em comin Ryan 🇺🇸

I'm so excited for the Kuster Family. I hope y'all find a head really soon to use it a little this year!! Your parents need to make a buying trip every year.
Saw it running on Wolfe's today, could see Dwight's smile from the highway.

Hey, it does fit into the shed!
It appears your 9970 is somewhat used, correct? Congratulations on your new purchase, and yes it is a big step up, which is good!
"Nothing Runs Like A Deere" 🦌👍🇺🇸

You're going to have a fun time getting used to the up down button change for the header. I know I did. Grounded her many times, best of fortune to yall.

Hello from Serbia
Your gonna be impressed we've been waiting
It looks good
Hello from Canada
Congratulations on the new purchase. Just be careful of what I call the domino effect. Some people call it growing pains. Then before you know it you're purchasing a bigger combine and starting the domino effect all over again. Some people don't get richer, they're just handling more money, and working longer hours.
Unfortuately, isn't that part of the American dream for many people. The dairy farmer, called tenth generation, seems to have found a good balance by letting other people who own the equipment do some of the work.
@@shopshop144 I know all about custom farming. I did it myself when I was in my early 20s.
Congratulations
Great video Ryan lol
That machine is one nice piece to your farm
