Now you get a tenth of the craftsmanship and reliability for ten times the price.

Yep. It's tragic.
I love the beautiful cars of this era.
They had some great ones!
#1 is my favorite!
It's the best!
i like all cars 👍🏿👍🏿

I wonder what today's cost would be on these 1950 - 1960 cars. Would the Continental Mark II be the costliest now?
Great question! I think the 1957 Cadillac Eldorado Brougham would be the costliest now. $12,220 in 1957 is equivalent to about $133,396 today
Mercedes 300SL Gullwing should have been on this list.
Amazing machine! It's highlighted in our Top 1950s Classic Cars Matching Your Birth Year 🏆
Good video, but perhaps 'robust' was a little overused. Looking forward to more.
Thank you!

BUICK DID NOT HAVE WRAP AROUND WINDSHEILD UNTIL 1954 !
Thanks!
The most expensive AMERICAN cars, maybe. Europe had WAY costlier cars than this list.
They did not. The Eldorado Brougham was more than a Rolls Royce in 57 and 58
Good point
58 continental? Imperial 55 showed a shot of 60 dash.
Instead of robust v8 engine , how about cubic inches & horsepower?
Great idea for another video! Thanks!
I don’t think the Ghia belongs on this list. There were just too few of them and they were more of a custom item rather than a production car from an established American company.
Thanks for the feedback!
