    Amazing the prop wasn't fouled with all that crap in the water. Without power he is SOL. Good job working out of that jam. Maybe invest in better mooring lines?

      I would guess the owner either was one of the men or they work for him because you would need the key to start that boat.

      Major storm and thats a river mouth so you get all the debris from the hills coming down the river.....Most of the time its clear of debris and good swimming and fishing.

    Well designed boat, meant for heavy seas. The bad part was all the stuff floating in the water, anyone of those things could snap a prop or prop shaft, that's the hard thing to get by.

    I thought they handled it well. It was a bit iffy to wade out to the boat but the wave action there wasn't too crazy. The boat looked well maintained, people always forget to put money into their moorings... Was that a barn animal floating downstream? Wuh NZ...

    i was going to go out in my trailer sailor in this river but saw the waves and turned back.It was then i saw a 20 feet or so boat lying on the rocks,he came in at night and his spot light moved and got hit by a wave so it pays to have every thing in ship shape condition

    Interesting & very rough water. Telephoto lens accentuates this, making it look like no space between wave groups. Yes, unmanned boat adrift or sunk...first on board gets salvor's rights, isn't it? Some marine laws are international because they go so far back in time. Too bad there are no international environmental ocean protection laws, or few anyway.

    You must mean no structural damage, because that boat got swamped! There's bound to be water damage in the living quarters if not inside the cabins where the portholes are on the bow. Good they saved it, though.

      As long as they closed all of the ports and if anything in that water somehow broke the glass I think it wouldn't be very wet in the cabin if at all. As long as the seals for everything were in good shape it should be fine

    I was thinking the same thing. lol...He could have been as easily crushed. I watched a 28 foot whaler get set right up on shore in one big wave while a couple of guys were trying to hook a tow line. They had run out of fuel when the lake got rough. On Lake Superior shit can go bad real quick.
